As much as I think youtube is great and does a good job of promoting quality content the sheer fact that scope isn't on 10m+ views is criminal! Thank you so much for putting these films out for us to watch, they're fantastic, professionally made and one of the few rare trustworthy sources of niche film making information online
I agree but it's an educational video. Our society is programmed for entertainment. It says a lot about what's important to people. Personal pleasure is what folks want most while learning is secondary. Sad.
Media Division is a masterclass in cine lenses. Taught me so much, thank you! Amazing gear to drool at as well. I genuinely think this is the best channel on TH-cam.
Found y'all recently. Been learning 3D for a number of years for various reasons. Recently got into photography/film with a solid second hand camera. Absolutely incredible presentation, and super informative at the same time. Not sure if I can fully appreciate how much effort y'all must put in but it definitely shows

Love this topic. I recently found him by chance in a filmmakers subreddit after I’ve already been following this channel for over a year and he responded to me. Great guy, great channel, super funny, entertaining and informative. One of my favorite channels on YT.
Thanks man... that is kind of you to say. Of course I answer... having a great community with like minded filmmakers is what the whole channel is really about. Appreciate you hanging around with us.
I'm not sure why anyone would actually hate zoom lenses. They're a tool, just like any other lens. All have their compromises and it's all down to preference.
I think the move away from their use in film-making has a lot to do with the prevalence of cameras that have rolling shutter. A rapid zoom in/out, or even a really fast pan get ruined by the jellyness/lean of rolling shutter.
not jsut a lens review... you're lecturing filmmaking universe with single product! Media Division is way to underrated. Deserves soooooooooo much more!! Thanks for sharing :)
We where hoping for something like that… how boring would a lens test alone be?! Yeah… I wish we would get a bit more attention… spread the word please and thanks for sharing.
These videos offer great in depth knowledge, ultra high quality, great atmosphere and the length is also a perfect compromise between too long and too short. Thank you for the effort and time you spent on creating these videos 👍🏻
Thank´s once more for your outstanding work! Even as a humble hobby photographer I´m always excited to see a new video from you. In my opinion this is THE cinematic channel on TH-cam that hardly can´t be bet. Wish you all the best!
You guys do such awesome work. I decided 3 weeks ago to buy the Dzofilm Catta 70-135mm for Sony to test. I love it so far as it's been time for us to move outta photography lenses. I will be picking up the 35-80 mm and probably even the 18-35 mm towards the end of the year. I will eventually move into a case of Vespid primes eventually. The combination of the two zooms and primes will be the direction going forward unless we are running and gunning.

interesting... havn't seen that, yet. Thank you. We already did a test of the Angie in SCOPE Chapter Three. As a spherical lens itself it can't hold a candle to the ACEs of course. The very short focus through makes it a pain to work with. I rather use my Contax zoom
Media Division!!!! You're back. I was worried you'd lose inspiration after the absolute masterpiece that was anamorphic 1 and 2 and for some reason you don't have a million subs. I was just showing my whole family those two videos. I can't tell you how awesome your creations are.
Thanks a lot man… don't worry. That was not my expectations with that subject. Still, we surely could use way more subs and views. Say sorry to your family from me.

Thank you. Actually no... we don't owe a set and the Leica R (while good lenses) lack a good cinematic story to tell. Unlike the Super speed or K35 relations, there is nothing of that kind with the Leica R.

Hey hey hey hey! Wait! What is that "custom gimbal" you casually mentioned at the end. That looks amazing how did you get it? What is it? How does it work?
? you mean the Tilta float? I attached a flowcine mechanical gimbal inverted on the top… it is out of production but don't be to sad…it doesn't work that great.
Fantastic video as usual This may be a strange request, but is there somewhere I can learn about lenses in detail. I can't focus very well with reading so another medium like video would be great. Is there any resources you know of that I can use to learn in detail about lenses? Your videos are great, but aren't very in depth with the explanation about how exactly lenses work, because you people focus more on the art (which is great btw, I love your videos)
Thank you… if you can't read, you are out of luck. There is no videos I am aware of, that go deeper into the subject than our channel does. The Cine Lens Manual is a good and expensive book, but it doesn't go into optical engineering either. Google is your friend and there is a lot to be found if you are willing to read. Everything beyond that … well, you would have to study optical engineering I guess.

Thanks a lot... glad you like it... and the channel. Thanks for being around.
Amazing Video, as always! I'm fan of the Fujinon MK zooms myself! But for the same price, DZO offers FF and also a great built quality... what's not to like?
Thanks....I had the Fujinon MK in my hands recently... really light, but also a bit flimsy.
LOVE the music in the 10:36 section
Enjoy.
Totally love your episodes, have been learning so much before purchasing lenses ❤
Glad we could do that for you. Thanks Ameba
27 seconds in, and i KNOW this video is going to slap!
Thanks Jack.... very glad it is for you!
Incredible as always, perfect. thanks
Thanks a lot Devi
Only watched this now, awesome as always! had to snort tho when i heard Guile's Sonic Boom attack from street fighter at 29:50! lovely touch!
Thanks Christian! You are the first to notice… guess that makes us "old" ;-)
@@MediaDivision thanks, aged in a good way! i just got my Mister FPGA setup for street fighter 2 going, a lot of fun. nearly as much as anamorphics :D
@@christianmajeres9772 Why the hassle…? software emulation looks and works great, doesn't it?! … or are you planning to guid a whole cabinet with CRT… that would be so…… Sonic Boooom !!
@@MediaDivision you figured it out quickly! i am running an old cabinet with an original Arcade CRT :D and street fighter looks lovely!
@@christianmajeres9772 NICE!!!

Thank you for another amazing episode and content!
Thanks a lot Marcel.... and thanks a lot for your support ;-)
This level of joyful and informative review is what I look up to. Would I reach such a steep peak one day? Doubt it, but gonna try.😅👍
Thanks… absolutely do… always remember that I only started 10 years ago from basically nothing and without any formal education
@@MediaDivision It is an honour to get this great motivative reply from you.🙏 I will try my best!🤗
Thanks for this thorough test. Is there one for the 18-35 too?
Our pleasure. No, sorry.... it wasn't out then.
Finally a new episode! Missed you💖
And the next one is soon to come, too. Already deep in it.
My favorite voice is back ! Lets watch the paint dry !
sorry for underperforming. covid and a subsequent Pneumonia made my voice brittle.
@@MediaDivision sorry to hear that. Stay healthy !
So the Letus Anamorphx must be double focused when paired with the Catta as well?
Of course... with ANY lens. But, not during a zoom
Ahhhhhhhhh .... new Media Division .... (kicks back ... unfolds chair ... pops popcorn ... )
Thats the Spirit! Thank you for your support A51. Can't do it without our members
Great as always guys, I constantly record but would like to make a 'very amateur' short one day. Only have a T7i or Dji pocket 2 haha but Heck gotta start somewhere :D
Thanks for your support Lindopski… very much appreciated. Sure… go for it. Old DoP wisdom, it is never the camera that holds you back.
Great video as usual!
Thanks JD
Love your channel. Best of the best. Thank you!
Thanks a lot! Glad you think so. Spread the word
Brilliant as usually thanks
Thanks man... totally our pleasure
Great video sharing!!! Thank you
With pleasure man… thanks for hanging
Wonderful video. Much appreciated!
Appreciate your kindness HipHop… thanks for hanging!
Fantastic video as usual
This may be a strange request, but is there somewhere I can learn about lenses in detail.
@@MediaDivision alright thanks alot. I guess I'll start with a few pages a day.
I just have a really hard time focusing on reading 😂
I'll try my best tho. I will be sure to update you if it goes well.
Again thx so much
Great stuff as usual Nik
Thanks Nick… wait for the next one… that will be the big one ;-)
As always you are fabulous 👌🏻
Well, thank you Sir!
Great episode as always!
Thanks a lot TechnoPilot... and as always, thank you for your support. Hope you enjoy!!!
Excellent. Thank you!
Totally our pleasure Fuzzy
Amazing! What do you think about dzofilm 20-70 for MFT ?
Never used them nor saw them in RL, so,I don't think about them. The ACE are solid for the price point
Missed you, Nicholas!
Awwww... we are never gone Alex. Already working on the next one that will be a real milestone... and soon to be released. Thank you so much for your kindness and lasting support.
Most impressive is your studio 😄! James Cameron would be jealous !
Boy, I wish it was mine... its the Marmaldes studio/lights/robot as we say in the thank you part
@@MediaDivision maybe one day... 😂
But most important is that you can use it, not everyone has this privilege!
@@stephanes. Absolutely... and I am very grateful for that
