So authentic, I love this episode! Didn't know her outside of her character at Curb, but she is a fantastic guest and seems super nice and down to earth.
Susie Essman's character made Curb so much funnier than it would have been without her. Cheryl's style of outrage and annoyance was one side of the spectrum, but Susie could straight barbecue the guys and be hilarious doing it.
Yes, but you wouldn't know from this clip. It started out with Susie but as always it became all about Conan Conan Conan and his anecdotes. It'd be nice if he let the guest speak every now and again.
@@aaronaardvark1592 Oh Susie can hold her own! And I think they are riffing off of one another wonderfully. He's relating to her. If you want to see Susie not being able to get a word in, watch her podcast with Jeff Garlin, now that's tough to watch. Anyway, reel it in a bit. Conan is a thoroughly present and thoughtful interviewer. If you watch this and can't tell Susie is fantastic, that's more about you.
I had no idea either of them were married or had a kid 😂 that’s crazy. I love their work and have watched multiple interviews with both of them (separately, obviously).
Susie is my older woman crush. I think it's partly because of her character on Curb that part of me really wants to be yelled at by a Jewish woman from the Bronx
Something I noticed today while showing my daughter TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze. When you first see April there's a neighbor couple talking to her about her noisy aerobics. The woman is Susie!
I would wanna ask Susie why her character (always...almost) welcomes Larry into her house when the last time he was there, she threw him out. I guess the answer would be "then we wouldn't have a show anymore."
What I love about “Curb” is you can occasionally tell why they would be friends. Like sometimes she seems to agree with him or enjoy him a little bit, then he tips it over the edge and it’s right back to vitriol.
It's the hilarious push-pull that some adults can have with each other as friends. If they had to spend more time together they'd probably insist on spending less time together. It's like getting drunk once a week instead of every night.
I just watched the Carson segment Susie spoke about. I've always said people's memories can be foggy, and can be wrong even if they were there. She said here that Carson didn't know she was a comedian. Meanwhile, he introduced her as a comedian. She also said her material was too blue for him. She said nothing blue at all. She said she did terrible, but it was a pretty good segment, where she got some big laughs. She said Carson was cold, but he was as warm with her as he was with everyone else. The only thing she was right about was that her mouth was a little dry. I'm sure she was very nervous, but it didn't go badly at all.
Funny thing……. I haven’t owned a tv in 25 years….. ooh I’m not a weirdo or anything 🤪…….. As a jazz composer, writer, and inventor….. I can be MORE creative……. If I just binge on films….. old movies on my phone…. I spend a lot of time in the studio “ making the donuts “ as it were….. lol sooooooo, nope… never saw “curb, veep, game of thrones, west wing, walking dead,….. “ ect…. but I pull up INTERVIEWS of Dreyfus, Cranston, Macy, Spacey….. ect…… and I’m filled with WHO THEY ARE….!!!…. Yeah I missed out…… but….. it’s hard to find a CONAN INTERVIEW ANYWHERE ‼️‼️‼️ I grew up on DONAHUE,DOUGLAS, CAVETT, SNYDER,ROSE…..ect. CONAN TAKES TIME TO GET TO THE HEART OF IT❗️……. I think she is kind of missing the point of Curb. I don't think it's that Larry David's character does idiotic things. I think its more poking fun at some societal norms. How silly some of our cultural practices are, and about the expectations we have of people around us. I think David's character serves as a vessel for this kind of critique.
Good for you Conan. I'm proud of you! You said Actors and Actresses. I'm sick and tired of Talking heads saying The Actor. And I remember her Susie as the Tour Guide in "Crocodile Dundee" 2 giving the Japanese tourists a Tour of the Subway in New York and her screaming when the shooting starts. Once you hear her Screaming and Yelling you'll never forget her.
You can't win, really. I think it's more common nowadays to eliminate the gendered titles and call both women & men actors. Ergo most people wouldn't find that word excludes anyone. Sounds like a funny scene though, I will have to watch those movies someday.
"No moisture in my life." I felt that.
That's what she said
Moisture eyes with dry ice.
Buddy, that's my marriage!
😂😂😂
She's channeling my wife with that Freudian slip. 😂
It's heartwarming how every time Conan talks about his wife, he's always complimentary and loving. As the kids say, goals.
the bar is in hell
I love how Susie says “what do you think I yell at my husband that’s fiction!” As she yells about not yelling at her husband 😂👌
Yes! lol just came here for this
Conan is a terrible interviewer. Same as when he had his late night show. Too many phony laughs and always interrupted.
So authentic, I love this episode! Didn't know her outside of her character at Curb, but she is a fantastic guest and seems super nice and down to earth.
I loved Susie's cowboy villain music from the early seasons.
She is so much fun to watch, even in an interview! 😃❤️
Susie freaking rocks
Susie Essman's character made Curb so much funnier than it would have been without her.
Cheryl's style of outrage and annoyance was one side of the spectrum, but Susie could straight barbecue the guys and be hilarious doing it.
Conan is so captivating when he speaks
Susie Essman is fantastic! Thank you Molecular Man!

@@r00peawell said! And yes, Jeff has gotta do better
Just watching her on Curb is exciting and funny!!!😄
Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti are both hilarious comedians and they seem good together.
What? That's an unexpected pairing
@@radhiadeedou8286 They've been going strong for more than ten years. They both have an unusual but very hilarious sense of humor.
I had no idea either of them were married or had a kid 😂 that’s crazy. I love their work and have watched multiple interviews with both of them (separately, obviously).
"Theres a lot of stuff on there"made me lol
God, I love Susie! ☺
Those 1980s sitcoms based on hit movies never worked out.
I remember that story of him doing bits at the architecture place where D'arcy Carden was a receptionist lol. That episode is another good one!
Susie is a very good listener; Conan's compliments to her in the beginning seem very true based on this interview.
Susie is my older woman crush. I think it's partly because of her character on Curb that part of me really wants to be yelled at by a Jewish woman from the Bronx
This is great 😂😂😂
She’s amazing. My absolute favorite on Curb. I wanna be like Susie Green! 😂
Susie Is wonderful.
She’s awesome.
I miss Conans man on the street I grew up doing man on the street because of Conan. Thats great stuff ~
Wait
....
Was that a laugh track at 8:50‽‽
best character on curb istg
Man, she was terrific.

They have a brother-sister type of relationship

Conan, Conan, Conan. Taylor & Sam. They're a comedy couple.
I'm boycotting Conan until there is Sandwich Saga resolution, which you guys promised several times! 😢
Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner were a comic couple.
Is this Conan interviewing Conan?
Susie's husband is one LUCKY man.

Thanks a lot detective
Bill hader and Ali Wong like 👀
😍
he really makes an amazing job. i love hating her on the show xD
Conan looks really sunburned.
Did he stand in front of the fridge with the door open too long?
He got too close to the microwave while watching popcorn popping. He opened the bag too fast.😂
The talk about Jewish food (not uploaded) was great. Susie gave a really bad definition of matzo brei.
It’s unbelievable how this podcast is conan just talking about himself while the guest laughs and nods along.
You say that like it's a bad thing.
U are wrong sir
For the love of God let the woman speak Conan!

Conan’s constant compliments are so nauseating. Does he remember he’s a comedian?
Conan is so frustrating at times. Loves the sound of his own voice and doesnt let guest speak

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
First
Sonya is a lovely person - but besides responding to Conan’s questions and laughing at his jokes she mostly adds nothing to the show.
The most annoying character on TV. How people can stand watching her is beyond me.
