Definitely need a phone even off grid..!!
Great video filled with all kinds of things. Much better footing for the cabin. Nothing like a shower..!!

Dang, when it rains it pours sometimes! I hope all of your parents get well soon. My mom just went through chemo for cancer and is now out the other side. When I was down in Oregon with her, Tyler had to babysit the garden and he did pretty good. Nice that you got some projects knocked out. Having a shower is an amazing thing!

I’m so glad your mom is doing better. The big C sucks. Yeah our old tent shower bit the dust last fall, time for an upgrade. Hope you have a good week.

7:15 we get comments like that too. People don’t stop and think of emergencies or the need to communicate with families/friends.

Remove the stress and stop worrying about what random people post about your videos. Anyone that doesn't understand the need to communicate once in a while should be made to throw their cell phones away and have to cut off their internet & cable:) Keep making these great videos!!

Good video and I do agree even living Off Grid a person needs a means of communication with others. 😀 I just shake my head when I hear about some of the stupid comments and questions people have. I guess some people needs to be reminded that pigeons are no longer a reliable source of communication. 🤣🤣 Be safe. 👍. Hope all family members starts feeling better. 🙏

Great to see you again. A Bivy Stick or satellite phone is a must for us here, especially for when you are in a no cell service area, like where you live. There are plenty of instances where a satellite phone has saved a life in an emergency situation out in the bush, trail, or just traveling. There are long, long stretches of dead zones around here. Good health to you and the family!

Hi Brian. Sure wish you'd discuss the tools you use and why. Does a impact drill work the same as a regular drill? I made a raised bed, just put the wood in place, no nails, just a hammer to drive in good posts (spare wood I found). This is the second year and today, I planted sprawlers, like melon and watermelon. Wish I could learn how to use the tools you use and why. Need some lessons. lol. TH-cam University provides. Thanks for including the viewers. I'm encouraged to try new construction. I made a huge "no dig two years ago.

Hey Charlene, I learned most of what I do off of youtube 😂 I love driving in screws with an impact driver but mine broke. It’s back to the old school ways with only a drill.
Your project sounds awesome and good luck with future ones.

It is ridiculous you have to explain why you NEED reliable communication, transportation, and medication ! Yes you choose to live off grid but not in the dark ages!
You give us a gift of seeing what you are doing . That seems to some to mean they get to back seat quarterback your lives! I bet many comments are helpful and encouraging but once a project is completed why tell you how you did it wrong ( in their opinion? )

IMHO - Typical "Off Grid" living has nothing to do with a lack of communication. That would be an extra layer if someone (a nut job...lol) really really wanted to go the extra mile and cut themselves off from humanity. Just like most things in life, there are varying degrees.
From one Veteran to another on this fine Memorial Day 2023, much respect for you and everyone who served and gave some... But especially for those of us who gave it all.
