We hope your Mom gets better very soon 💗 I commend you on all your gardening efforts these past few years (it's amazing what you're growing in your climate) and I truly think you will love having Icelandic moms hatch their babies out. The experience is one of my favorites 😄 I am not certain but you may have 2 or 3 roos that I saw, we tend to have 50/50 ratio of hens to roos each time they have hatched. I think the mystery plant is in the mustard family, maybe radish? Sending love and warmer weather your way. Take care!
Thank you guys. She is getting her strength back everyday. Well the big yellow one definitely acts like a roo. We will find out what the mystery plant is when it flowers I guess. Hope you guys are settling in at your new place.
I had a colostomy bag when I was about 38. It's ruff in the beginning, and I was pretty young. I'm praying for your mom. I had mine for about a year and a half. I have Crohns disease and had 9 surgeries for fistula in 2 years. Still fighting at 53.
You & your Mom are in my prayers. I know the young couple from Simple Living Alaska have Icelandics and they have said they go broody pretty easily & are great mamas. Good luck with the new flock.
We here in UpState New York wanna say, "Thank you!" The accomplishments we see you 2 experience up over that way. Is a simple joy to us here. It just proves; "That no matter where you live here in the USA. If you live `free.` You live happy & in the hearts of many" ;- ]
Best wishes for your mom's recovery. The chicks just made me smile. What a nice neighbor. Good luck on the garden. We never know how things will turn out. I'll be up for some of that rhubarb pie! 👍😎🇨🇦
Not let the cat out the bag.. LOL.. Cool chicks! Rocky is the man! Prayers for your mom! Skiff was an awesome idea. Much easier to transport things. Hate to see the cold was to much on your beds. Hey some is better than none right? Have fun on your trip and stay safe my friends.
We have 4 hens and one of them went broody! So we picked up some fertilized eggs from a neighbor and put them under her! Hopefully, in a few weeks we'll have some chicks!!

Strawberry/rhubarb pie or jelly and if you have honeybees you can put a rhubarb leaf on top of the frames and let the bees carry it out and it's supposed to get on the bees and kill bee mites.

Thank you Patrick. It is frustrating with the medical mishaps. We are just glad she’s feeling better and getting her strength back. Yes it definitely sucks when the winds pick up in the summer time. That’s supposed to be our smooth sailing time. We are looking for an second double axle trailer to bring out here before winters hits.
The only pruning I did on my tomatoes this year was the branches near the ground. I put a lot of straw mulch and have just been watering and feeding. They are doing fine. I live in North Dakota. The winters here are not much better than where you live. There are some types of larger tomatoes you should be able to grow fairly well.
Dyna... Shore? I see what you did there. Okay I'm old. Nice batch of chicks. I need to use sand in the brooder next time. We used wood chips this last time. I put an air purifier next to the brooder to reduce dust but didn't realize that I needed to remove the plastic bag around the filter inside. Got much better coverage of fine dust on everything. Haha! Crazy how each year is different in regards to gardening. Good luck with your garden. That skiff was a great purchase.

Great garden; it's still early. I'm sure you'll have a good harvest. Really enjoyed all of the different components of the video. I love being on a body of water.
