Idk...the whole "how you get him is how you'll lose him" thing doesn't sit well with me. I think it low-key puts the blame primarily on the woman in question and glosses over the man's crappy behavior. These girls keep "losing" Jason because he's an emotionally unavailable addict who doesn't respect them. I do think Alex was naive to think things would be different with her, but I don't think her being mistreated by Jason is penance for her not really caring about his 8-week relationship with Jessica.

I mean most relationships that start as cheating end with cheating but otherwise I think it is important to not blame one person, usually the woman, for fault on both sides and in this cases it is blatantly obvious Jason was gaslighting and manipulating the girls to go 'crazy' over him. Tim’s narration of the psychology behind Alex’s behavior at the bonfire was SO spot on. She definitely intended not to kiss Jason in front of Jessica but felt anxious and needy after she caught him being sketchy. Jason was so entitled and toxic in these, I’m glad it’s on film for those girls to look back and reflect on/feel validated that they were being gaslit.
Now this was an episode that showed a better side of Kristin. She was direct and honest without being unnecessarily bitchy. The only person to point at Jason being the problem

I still don’t understand why those girls directed all of their energy and anger into fighting with each other instead of directing some of that anger towards Jason. However I do want to say Jason turned out to be such an amazing person overcoming so much and inspiring and giving back is truly incredible!
I don’t know why I didn’t like Kristin when I was younger and would watch these. She’s honest and direct and truly a great friend. Now in my 30s I really appreciate Kristin!
I just think that as an adult we see so much more and are able to read between the lines. Also we understand now there is so much editing going on. Back then we had no idea. We were watching reality TV as it was pretty much all real.

The real story on this episode is that Talan had a secret party at his house and didn’t tell production. The phone call/text that Alex received at dinner was Cami at the party telling her that Jason & Jessica hooked up at the party. Cami walked in on them and caught Jessica giving Jason oral. That’s why Kristin and Alex H. were like “wow Jessica is dumb” at dinner because they were so tired of telling Jessica the same thing and Jason using her, hence the conversation at the end with Kristin telling Jessica to stop talking to Jason. So this episode and the next few are production trying to reenact conversations/reactions of what happened at Talan’s party.
I never got how Alex had the nerve to be mad at Jessica and everyone just went along with it. Like you all pointed out they weren't besties or anything. Karma got Alex. Can't say I hated it

Also voting for finishing laguna beach season 3. There’s also this other show called Newport harbor. I remember it coming out and I think I watched maybe one or two episodes way back then and thought this was going to be like Laguna beach. Didn’t have the ratings so it got cancelled but that one could be fun just to close out that whole era.

I used to think that too and I thought it was because they (Kristin and Alex H.) were trying to get along with these girls. But now watching it again I believe it was also edited this way and maybe they did really say something to defend her as well. We see most of these kids bitch about everyone even their friends behind their back, some of it is probably produced.
In the next episode (Cabo) the morning after Alex screams at Jessica, Kristin kind of sticks up for Jess at breakfast. She does tell Alex that for Jessica, it was weird for Alex to date Jason because she thought they were friends. I feel like they were mad at Jessica in their own way.Their frustration came from Jessica not listening to them when they told her to leave him alone but she didn’t listen. Jessica did bring that drama upon herself and I think they thought it would be best to let her deal with the aftermath because they already did their part

I really like Kristin in episodes like this one when she’s direct and a good friend. I also like the fact that the two Alex’s were able to bring the group together. I never really had a strong opinion towards Alex M, but she didn’t deserve that from Jason and Jessica, even after her little bit of “shadiness” at the bonfire and the whole, I won’t kiss him out of respect, but then was all over Jason. Side note, Alex M. and Alex H. are very good friends to this day.

I think Jason really had a thing for Jessica . Maybe they weren’t good as a couple but he was definitely drawn to her even when he was with Alex and Lc.
I think maybe his parents really didn’t like her & he had to break up with her, but really didn’t want to. I think he really liked her or at least was really connected with her.

Reasons why Made in Chelsea is really the only option: 1. Nostalgia - MIC came just after Hills and your target audience of Hill loyals are the same generation as MIC. We grew up with them, they have kids and some still have ongoing drama now, they’re heavily in the limelight and watching something back from those days is why these reactions are such a guilty pleasure for us 90s/2000s kids. 2. More audience potential - MIC is still going! And my 34 year old hubby and I who don’t watch TV still sweat it out to watch next weeks episodes because it’s that good. There are no MIC reaction videos, so the audience potential is massive given that MIC covers past and present generations. 3. Same concept as the Hills - rich kids and their drama. We love to see it! And anyone who hasn’t seen it will want to once you start the reactions. My English hubby introduced MIC to me when I was 28 about 10 seasons in and I was hooked! And we never watch any TV. But Hills and MIC are life. 4. The hilarity and the drama! - okay those UK kids are mental! They’re messy in the classiest way, enough to keep you hooked but not in a trashy, mundane, mind numbing way like any recent shows out for shock value and fake conversation. 5. It’s more REAL. You could watch an episode and see cast members shade each other on social media in real time as it airs. There’s nothing fake about it other than the orchestrated trips away putting all the feuding people together in the same situations. 6. There’s no other options for this target audience - Siesta Key is just… mundane. RH is trash, boring and overrated, and those women look the same, talk the same, and every episode is the same - thirsty moms trying to squeeze themselves into 10 year old clothes. Sure that may be okay for a few episodes, but can you see doing that for a full season? The fights are the same, Timmy and Whit are very real and relatable, what can you possibly react to when these women are just constantly being fake and loud to be on TV, is it even worth the attention and an honest reaction? Once you start a series, you’re stuck with it 7. The comedy. Timmy’s reaction and humour combined with these UK kids humour (especially Jamie Laing who has his own show now) will be epic. 8. Better for TH-cam. As I said before it’s raunchy in an unspoken, posh kind of way so more TH-cam friendly 9. Laguna Beach S3 is a snooze fest- I wanted to watch it desperately because some of this cast was still in it and LCs sister. I lasted 2 episodes, I really tried. It’s so childish and like pulling teeth to watch. I can’t imagine going back on that today and finding any of it worth reacting to, I’d rather react to the politics of my 2 year old and his friends. 10. MIC episodes are same length as the Hills

She does tell Alex that for Jessica, it was weird for Alex to date Jason because she thought they were friends. I feel like they were mad at Jessica in their own way.Their frustration came from Jessica not listening to them when they told her to leave him alone but she didn’t listen. I really like Kristin in episodes like this one when she’s direct and a good friend. I also like the fact that the two Alex’s were able to bring the group together. I never really had a strong opinion towards Alex M, but she didn’t deserve that from Jason and Jessica, even after her little bit of “shadiness” at the bonfire and the whole, I won’t kiss him out of respect, but then was all over Jason.
Side note, Alex M. and Alex H. are very good friends to this day.

Reasons why Made in Chelsea is really the only option:
1. Nostalgia - MIC came just after Hills and your target audience of Hill loyals are the same generation as MIC. We grew up with them, they have kids and some still have ongoing drama now, they’re heavily in the limelight and watching something back from those days is why these reactions are such a guilty pleasure for us 90s/2000s kids.
2. More audience potential - MIC is still going! And my 34 year old hubby and I who don’t watch TV still sweat it out to watch next weeks episodes because it’s that good. There are no MIC reaction videos, so the audience potential is massive given that MIC covers past and present generations.
3. Same concept as the Hills - rich kids and their drama. We love to see it! And anyone who hasn’t seen it will want to once you start the reactions. My English hubby introduced MIC to me when I was 28 about 10 seasons in and I was hooked! And we never watch any TV. But Hills and MIC are life.
4. The hilarity and the drama! - okay those UK kids are mental! They’re messy in the classiest way, enough to keep you hooked but not in a trashy, mundane, mind numbing way like any recent shows out for shock value and fake conversation.
5. It’s more REAL. You could watch an episode and see cast members shade each other on social media in real time as it airs. There’s nothing fake about it other than the orchestrated trips away putting all the feuding people together in the same situations.
6. There’s no other options for this target audience - Siesta Key is just… mundane. RH is trash, boring and overrated, and those women look the same, talk the same, and every episode is the same - thirsty moms trying to squeeze themselves into 10 year old clothes. Sure that may be okay for a few episodes, but can you see doing that for a full season? The fights are the same, Timmy and Whit are very real and relatable, what can you possibly react to when these women are just constantly being fake and loud to be on TV, is it even worth the attention and an honest reaction? Once you start a series, you’re stuck with it
7. The comedy. Timmy’s reaction and humour combined with these UK kids humour (especially Jamie Laing who has his own show now) will be epic.
8. Better for TH-cam. As I said before it’s raunchy in an unspoken, posh kind of way so more TH-cam friendly
9. Laguna Beach S3 is a snooze fest- I wanted to watch it desperately because some of this cast was still in it and LCs sister. I lasted 2 episodes, I really tried. It’s so childish and like pulling teeth to watch. I can’t imagine going back on that today and finding any of it worth reacting to, I’d rather react to the politics of my 2 year old and his friends.
10. MIC episodes are same length as the Hills
