Y'all let's just be real. These new leads aren't cutting it. I honestly think MTV struck gold with Lauren Conrad as their main character and Kristin as her nemesis because not everyone can carry a show.

I think Kyndra and Cami could have carried. They're very funny best friends with lots of in jokes and cackling. But the show would have had to have a different format, maybe expanding to kyndras sister who was in Alex Ms friend group and to the guys in the grade between camis and kristins

I struggled with this season more because Kyndra and Cami, as “villains,” didn’t have anyone to balance them out in their friend group. With seasons 1 and 2, Kristin could say mean things but she had Jessica and Alex to reel her in somewhat and deflect it which gave them more dimension as characters. Kyndra and Cami just didn’t have that and I’m sure the way the show was edited didn’t help their cause.

I don’t think I’ve ever been “friend-zoned”. If I romantically am interested in someone I’ll go for it. And if it’s not meant to be a romantic connection I’m happy with being friends! The “friend-zone” thing has always confused/bothered me (that’s not a slight to you, Timmy! Just in general)
I remember I went to prom with this guy I was good friends with, but he was a grade younger than me and had been homeschooled for several years until he started at our school. I liked him and decided to tell him after prom. Sadly for me at the time he didn't feel the same, and when I was home after prom I cried. However, I accepted it and moved on. Years later we were actually talking and he told me that he completely regretted it and he realized he liked me after that, but we all went off to school at that point, I had a serious bf and he was already engaged. I don't harbor any bitterness at all. He was too young at the time and had been socially somewhat isolated prior to coming to our school.
I've never been friendzoned because 99% of the guys I liked either didn't know I existed or never approached me and the one time I approached someone I got ignored lol
Tessa is adorable. Kyndra and Cami are a bit sad. The meanest girls are always the most insecure ones, and they just attack others to deflect from their own insecurities. The sweet girls are the easiest targets. Hopefully they matured, gained confidence, and became nicer girls.

They were trying to bottle lightning twice and they just couldn’t make fetch happen. The high school mean-ness was so much that it was uncomfortable and Tessa was not meant for the main character in reality TV. The OC moment was also passing with the Hills getting hot.

I have a question for Timmy. Lots of comments about people not liking Tessa as the main character. However I assume that in a situation like this, where all of the cast are unknowns, that they probably filmed the entire season or the majority of it and then decided who was going to be the central character. Because obviously the narrating happens after everything is filmed. My feeling is that Tessa was one of the few likeable characters because choosing Kyndra or Cami would likely not have been popular because they were such mean girls. Although I feel like Rocky would have been a good choice. I personally like Tessa and am glad those other girls weren’t ‘rewarded’ for being so terrible. Totally different than Kristin who was still likeable.

LBS3 is actually great. It’s the only season where drama happens on a consistent basis. Maybe it’s because I know what will happen - but surprised people are turned off by it. I actually felt more uncomfortable with S1+2 because it was obvious they were too mature (if that’s the word). Idk. Looking forward to seeing how people’s reactions evolve as the season progresses.

My feeling is that Tessa was one of the few likeable characters because choosing Kyndra or Cami would likely not have been popular because they were such mean girls. Although I feel like Rocky would have been a good choice. I personally like Tessa and am glad those other girls weren’t ‘rewarded’ for being so terrible. Totally different than Kristin who was still likeable.

I think Tessa is too nice and reserved for this type of show tbh she’s just a normal girl and doesn’t want to create drama. The drama she was involved with seemed WAY less natural than the previous seasons. I think that’s why Kyndra and Cami seem SO MEAN I’m contrast.

LBS3 is actually great. It’s the only season where drama happens on a consistent basis. Maybe it’s because I know what will happen - but surprised people are turned off by it. I actually felt more uncomfortable with S1+2 because it was obvious they were too mature (if that’s the word). Idk. Looking forward to seeing how people’s reactions evolve as the season progresses.
