Beautiful as ever, calming and relaxing. Loved your tree. 🎄 Sorry to hear about the storm. I hate strong winds, really scares me.😮 They have my entire life. (68) 😢 getting old. 😊 The sunsets and star watch were amazing. Thank you 💚
So peaceful and relaxing. No rapid movements. Wonderful. And who would have thought only some years ago that we could see earth from a bird's perspective! Thank you!
Lovely video. It made me smile when you mentioned stirabout. My grandad called it that. He died in the 80s. I must start calling it that again. I think since they started naming the storms we think there is more. I always remember bad weather as a child. I'm in my 60s now. Our power was off a lot when I was young, with very stormy weather. There is nothing new under the sun as the bible says. Have a lovely Sunday. X
Aw how lovely to hear that! Yes, you’re probably right about the storms. Growing up in Dublin I never noticed them as much. Being in the countryside now , and with the exposed power lines, storms affect us here so much more!❤
Thank you for inviting us into your home during the Christmas season. Your videos are so peaceful and quiet. I am happy to hear all went well for you and your pets, including your precious barnyard animals, during the storm. ❤
Hello Gillian, The wind from the storm would be frightening. I'm glad you are all okay. The garden center was lovely. It would be very hard to restrain from wanting it all. I loved the felted mouse and the white owl. The chocolate crinkle cookies look delicious. Yummy! Mr. Pickle is so sweet under the tree. Blessings to you. Have a wonderful holiday season. Take care. ❤
I am glad all is ok with you and animals after storm. Stay warm and wishing you and all of your family and furry friends a Merry Christmas. Thank you for a beautiful year of your days!
Your Christmas tree 🎄 is lovely, I love the decorations. Hopefully the storm has subsided. Here in the east coast of New Zealand we have been getting warm dry gusty winds with 26-30 C degree days. Cats and dogs really make a home and are great companions. ❤
Hope you are all keeping nice, warm and cosy 😊 thank heaven the storm has passed and you're all okay❤ What beautiful Christmas spirit in your home 🎅🤶🌲 Those cookies look delish😋 enjoy!
Starting off with an extremely worrying storm cutting off electricity and water, things eventually became normal. Your tree is so beautiful decorated with ornaments that are meaningful to you. The cookies make my mouth water and I must make them. Seeing Pickle and Mr. Pup looking so content is contagious. Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones!
Thank you for sharing another day in your life. So thankful you were all okay after the storm. I am partial to cute miniature animal character Christmas ornaments. My late sister-in-law used to make the same chocolate cookies. My mother always made Chinese New Year cookies. They were more of a candy with no baking required and made from melted semi sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanuts and crunchy Chinese noodles. Wishing you a blessed New Year!
Lovely and cute as those decorations were I still prefer decorations to be as natural as possible. Thanks for all the calm enjoyment you provide all year. Wishing you both a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful anew Year from County Tyrone.
❤ Really a video full of magic winter atmosphere. The scary noise of the wild storm was frightening, but the morning and evening sky so beautiful. The decorations so lovely and the christmas tree amazi
I like the wee mouse decoration, 7:19. So sweet. I have seen the same in another vlog recently, where they had animated her so that she danced, twirling ... she was pink in that one, but looked so pretty and enchanting ... So pleased you and the animals are safe after the storm. Yes, the wind can be frightening, unpredictable. Trees always a worry, esp the big ones. Take care, blessings 🙏🙏♥♥
🎄 ahh thank you for a beautiful Christmassy vlog. Love love the Christmas cards you had. Wishing you, your family and animals a joyful and peaceful time. ❤
The most beautiful, Christmas video ever Gillian!! Thanks so much. Your efforts are perfection on every level and in every way. Love that you showed us some of your tree decorations. All of them are so sweet and pretty and what a warm, welcoming Christmas home you have. Wishing you a lovely Holiday full of coziness and joy
Beautiful sunrise you shared with us... I actually had some very windy weather yesterday as well, even a large branch fell from a tree against my house... and today... beautiful, calm morning. :)
Oh Gillian what a lovely christmas tree and i luv the mantle decoration with the gingerbread house. Pickles chose the right spot under the christmas tree. Thank u for taking us thro the lovely store/ garden center. Luved the selection of books there. Wish i was there. ❤❤❤❤❤
Aww Charlie's sweet lil face with one fang showing, while he was lying on his bed was too cute... made me want to smooch him... and I am a dog person. LOL
Nature does remind us on occasion just how powerful it is, and perhaps humbles us just a bit. As always, your videos inspire me and bring a sense of warmth in a tumultuous world. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and great Joy in the new year.
Hello Gillian. I feel the same about storms and it's no fun if the power goes off. You are quite exposed and with your dairy farm you both have so much responsibility. I am happily unconventional, enjoying no Xmas tree but just have a basket of little soft toys and decorations and lights and tinsel and the crib. Your tree and displays are lovely. 🤩🎄💡💡. Thank you 💕
Yes, it’s such an exposed location, and we get belted by the winds here! It’s definitely challenging with the farm. Your decorations are so lovely btw, often less is more at Christmas 🥰💖🎄
Thank you Gillian for a sneak peak into your Magical Christmas; many Blessings and a Merry Christmas to you and yours and of course the fur family.🙏❤🎄🎅
So beautiful! ❤ Yesterday morning, we too needed to use the camp stove to make our coffee, and yes, this is becoming more common. So I have a ritual now, involving a pile of blankets, a warm housecoat, knitted cap and fingerless mittens...then I loosely wrap a strand of battery operated star shaped lights around my neck and voila...I'm all set to read the day away! 😁 I imagine this makes running a farm really difficult. Your critters all seem cozy and safe though. Enjoy the holidays! ❤️🎁🥳
So glad you’re all safe. Thank you for another beautiful video. You’ve inspired me to add fairy lights to my mantle. I usually do. I just forgot until I saw yours!😂
Your place is so peaceful and tranquil. Your tree is beautiful too. Yes, I have noticed storms are stronger and more unpredictable. Merry Christmas to you and all your family. 🐕🐈🐈⬛🌻🥀☃🎄🎁
Hello, Gillian! 🥰 Really liked your Christmas pine tree decoration 🌲🍁🍂☘️🐞🎉 I wish you and your entire Family a Merry Christmas too. 😍❤ A virtual cuddle for cats and dogs. 🐈⬛🐈🐕🦺🦮 ❤🎉 Have a blessed Week! 🏡🌞🌦☃️🌈🌟🎄🎁🎊
dear Gillian.........................what a beautiful and peaceful video..............considering that the storm is howling outside and the power is out........................your Christmastree looks so beautiful..........have a peaceful week...........Greetings from Daggy,Kiel,Germany☘☘☘
I throughly enjoyed every minute of this video, the mantle decor and Pickles sleeping under the tree were some of my favorites. Thank you! Peace and Joy-
Mother Nature can be fears and scary. I worry about the creatures outdoors when she gets angry. I'm so thrilled you are all well and made the best of an unpleasant happenstance. You have a way of making even the uncomfortable comfortable, cozy and magical. I love your videos Gillian! Many thanks for sharing a day in your life.
Aw thanks so much for your lovely words! Yes, the animals were all in their beds in the safety of the sheds. I'm sure they were happy too once the storm moved away! ❤
Hi there, I´ve got so much going on right now that I wasn´t going to bother putting the tree up, wasn´t feeling the Xmas. vibe this year, but after watching your video I´ve decided to make the effort . How do I feel about storms? absolutely love them if I can stay indoors, a howling gale outside, a cup of tea & a book, my idea of absolute bliss! we also get a fair share of storms in Galicia. Merry Chirstmas 🎄🧚🧚♂🧚♀❤
Aw I’m so sorry to hear that, but I’m glad you felt inspired to put it up. A tree just instantly creates so much coziness and cheer to a room. Yes, I know what you mean about the storms, I use to feel that way too! However, I get so nervous now in the countryside as we have so many huge trees around us and we always lose power compared with Dublin which very rarely does! Hope you have a lovely week ahead - merry Christmas 🙏💖🎄✨🧚
Thank you for such a lovely cozy Christmas video. It really makes me smile when I watch and brings tears to my eyes. I love your kitties as I had a cat that would curl up under the Christmas tree! I miss him! Merry Christmas to you!🥰🎄 I may have to try your cookie recipe too!
Aw how sweet Elizabeth. I'm so sorry to hear of your little kitty. What lovely memories you have of him. Happy Christmas to you, and do try those cookies- so worth it! 💕
Just had the best time watching your video and painting wooden gingerbread men! I dont know that we are getting more storms but they are certainly more ferocious. We just git over 6ft of snow in Ontario in less than a week. Looks beautiful though🎄
I grew up in Tornado alley in the US. I now am in Florida with hurricane season, some very scary, damaging ones have passed through. I don't like storms, but God's mercies are new every day. I love your videos. Thank you. Your jewelry is beautiful!❤
Aw thanks so much for your kind words! Oh, I can imagine hurricane season is an anxious and scary time there. I was in Florida for hurricane Andrew, and that really was ferocious! ❤🎄
It makes my heart yearn for lost dreams when i watch your beautiful fly overs of the Irish countryside . My plans upon retirement were to tour Ireland and Wales in search of unmet relatives and calm the urge to find my roots ... Now between my health problems , my husbands recent cancer diagnosis and fear of unrest in the world at large , I doubt I will see either country ,,,,,but alas I get a glimpse through your lovely videos ,,thank you for that !! God keep and bless you during this most beautiful of holidays , Christmas !! Cherryl from Canada
Aw I'm so sorry to hear that Cherryl, sending lots of love and light your way to you and your husband. I wish him all the strength during his treatment. I'm glad I can bring you both along with me on a little journey through the Irish countryside 💕
@@LostForest Thoughts and prayers are what the world needs now , thank you for yours ! I was recently introduced to a poem called "" The Dash "" written by Linda Ellis , if you get a chance look it up and ponder it . Quite an eye opener ......hope you enjoy it ! Hugs Cherryl from Canada
Beautiful relaxing video as always so glad you were all safe and sound after that awful storm. Your tree is beautiful and like mine full of memories Charlie is so funny always taking cat naps 💕 in years gone past I would always find my fur babies under the tree I use to put bells on the bottom branches so I knew where they were 😂 I would have choosen The moo cow decoration but you knew that of me. Did you have to milk the moo ladies by hand or do you have a back up generator. Take care till next time dear Gillian and fur babies and moo ladies 🌹🐈Xxxx
Ha! That’s a great idea with the bell Rosa! I must try that, as every morning I discover decorations all over the floor - must be from the mysterious Christmas tree gremlins 🤭🐈🐈yes we invested in a generator for the farm recently so the cows milking isn’t affected and the milk tank can still function, otherwise we’d lose a whole tanker of milk with each storm. A farm is constantly adapting also with the climate change. Take care and have a lovely week ahead 🎄✨🙏 ❤
That was so peaceful and soothing! I usually love storms unless I know they’re doing damage outside and I’m worried it’s going to need repairing! I have to ask if you’re allowed to say, what was the book you were reading? I read a few sentences about nature and being outside, the healing it can do! Agree! Wish life could slow down to enjoy the holidays! I used to make so many crafts, bake, decorate for Christmas! Now? Anyway, thank you, Merry Christmas from San Diego! ☃️🎄🎅🏻
After dreadful Darragh, a stunning sunset. It seems we are all either victims of the weather or delight in it! We got the tail end of the storm in London but nothing like the devastation in the rest of the British Isles. It sounded truly terrifying, and to lose all your amenities - apocalyptic! Looking forward to trying out those cookies. How do you stop the cats from destroying your gorgeous Christmas tree??! 😼🎄🍪
Well, Charlie is banned outright- no surprise there! While Pickle needs to be supervised as he gets manic notions to kill the baubles throughout the day, and the other kitties couldn't care less that a giant sparkly tree just appeared one day in the room! 😂❤
Oh no! It looks like your one cat has stioma. I hope I’m wrong. It’s excruciating painful and they have to have all their teeth pulled. It won’t go away. We have had two that had it. They can still eat afterwards. Love your vlog and all the beauty you share.
It’s a terrible gum disease where all their teeth are loose and you’ll see that their gums are severely inflamed. I noticed his tooth was hanging out of his mouth and the bottom ones(what I could see of them) were not right. Their in a lot of pain and won’t eat a lot because of it. Eventually they won’t eat anything. So, check his mouth and hopefully I’m wrong. I spend so much time rescuing cats. Two of them had it. The surgery cost us a fortune, but we did it. Their so happy now and believe it or not, they can actually eat. They get wet canned food and they also get chopped up chicken and dry food as well. Please let me know what you think after you look at him. Also, I’m not sure but it’s call stomatitis. You can google it. I hope I’m wrong and that you won’t be mad at me for commenting to you. ❤️
@@echodavenport6942thank you for the explanation. I checked his gums and they look really healthy, as are his teeth- even the tiny ones! When he’s in that bed, he often turns his head , and his mouth drags on the fabric and pulls his lip up into a snarl, so his fang usually looks more obvious because of that ❤
@ oh thank goodness. I’m so relieved . Your so good to all your animals. I love the life your cows have too. Cows in America aren’t treated very well here. I love all your vlogs. See ya next time. Have a great week😁
@@echodavenport6942 thanks so much! You’re also do amazing work with rescue kitties.🙏 Yes, our cows are like family! In Ireland animal welfare is integral in dairy farming. They are wonderful creatures. Have a lovely week ahead too 💖🙏🎄✨🐈
I live in Cheyenne,Wyoming a very wind prone area of the US. It's not uncommon for the wind to reach 80 mph gusts. It will close the main roads. It is blowing crazy today! I like the wind as long as I don't have to go out.
Yes, Even here in Washington State U.S.A. Storms are more frequent and seemingly more severe. Over all the decades I never tend to lose power to the house, but this past spring lost it for about 3 hours during a wind storm. Storms are not common in Spring time. .. Then last night there was a major wind storm that took down a huge branch from a maple tree just outside the door.. but unfortunately still has not taken down a widowmaker..(the top half of one of the maples that has been hanging far up on another tree for years, waiting to come crashing down. It is in a location where no equipment can get to it and is too high to cut out. I can only hope in a windstorm that if it ever comes down that it falls away from the house. Weather has changed drastically over recent years, serious cold spells in winter that we never experienced before and more wind storms than normal. Odd how the same seems to be happening in other parts of the world.
I’d like to reach thru the screen to touch your cutting board, to let my hands witness the stories it has to tell. What is the brown ground spice you sprinkled on your oatmeal?
Hello Gillian !☺👋🎄🎈🎉 The tractor is of course so nice on your Christmas Tree !!🎄😄👍 Storms will happen more and more everywhere for Earth the splendid planet is moving in our galaxy and more. There are cosmic cycles ! Well here too there are storms sometimes, and Trees are falling for different reasons. One young tall beautiful Frêne falled in my garden😜😜 because the Lierre was growing around him and so much rain this year. Old people and farmers here in the countryside say all this year was "a year of 13 moons"...??... it means very difficult for the weather, shaked !!! I'm sorry to tell you that it's necessary to be prepared and to anticipate many changes during the next 2 years coming, at least, in everything. Because an old world is ending, for a new one to co-create much better💚🌎🎈🎉 When we are lucky in a beautiful Life and good conditions, let's have Gratitude and co-create Joy and Beauty All on the planet. Thanks To Life and Universe in the Light !!! Merry Christmas Gillian and to your family, friends, neighbours and To Ireland !!!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄💚💚💚💚💚💚💚⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄👋 Astrid, France.
That's interesting to know! There does certainly feel like there's a shift happening in the world, causing plenty of turmoil. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas too Astrid! Take care ❤🎄🥰
Concerning the storms: Not in Germany. But our summers are getting more and more very, very hot summers. And we have almost no air condition. This makes it very exhausting and dangerous.
Buenas noches Gillian! No cambies Gillian!
So glad you enjoyed the video! That's so sweet about decorating the nativity scene. Growing up, we'd always look forward to my mom putting out the decorations, and especially the small ornamental cottage with the manger. I always wanted to shrink myself so I could fit within the little scene- it looked so cosy and peaceful! Your cookies sounds wonderful - the flavours of the season! I'm looking forward to baking different types of Christmas cookies all this week- I really want to try making Polvorones ❤🎄🥰

I throughly enjoyed every minute of this video, the mantle decor and Pickles sleeping under the tree were some of my favorites. Thank you! Peace and Joy-
Aw delighted to hear that! Pickle sends hugs 🥰💖🐈🎄
I miss him! Merry Christmas to you!🥰🎄
I may have to try your cookie recipe too!
Aw how sweet Elizabeth. I'm so sorry to hear of your little kitty. What lovely memories you have of him. Happy Christmas to you, and do try those cookies- so worth it! 💕
Very beautiful and relaxing video ❤
So glad you enjoyed it! ❤

Aw so glad you enjoyed it Loretta! Happy Christmas to you too❤🎄✨🥰
Obrigada 😘🎄🎅🏻
Aw thanks so much!🥰🎄💖
Your Christmas tree is beautiful 🎄Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎉
Aw thanks so much Angie! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year too! ❤🎄
Beautiful video again Merry Xmas from the Souths of The Netherlands❤🌲🌟
Aw thanks so much! Happy Christmas 🥰🎄💖
Just had the best time watching your video and painting wooden gingerbread men! I dont know that we are getting more storms but they are certainly more ferocious. We just git over 6ft of snow in Ontario in less than a week. Looks beautiful though🎄
Aw so glad you enjoyed the video Laurie! oh, wow- that's a lot of snow! Sounds like a perfect winter wonderland ❤🎄🥰
So beautiful, merry Christmas xxxx
Thanks so much! Happy Christmas! 💕
Beautiful video!
Thanks so much! ❤🎄🥰
Reminds me of the storm on Home Alone.
Ha yes! Luckily there were no sticky bandits outside 🤭🎄✨
Mine would be in the tree and half the decorations on the floor, not underneath it!!!!🙄 Merry Christmas Gillian!🎄
Hi gillian beautiful tree
Thanks so much! 🎄
Lovely! Thank you for sharing 🎄 ❤️
Aw so glad you enjoyed it! 🎄 ❤️
@ Always! Your channel is a perfect little oasis of calm in our stormy world!
@@j_marie4305that’s so sweet!❤
@LostForest 💕🌹🐈 Xxxx
Thanks so much! I’ve never heard of a stioma. What is it exactly? Kitties are all healthy and happy thankfully 💖🎄🙏🐈
💚
Yes! Having large trees like that always makes me nervous too when a storm hits. Hopefully it never comes down near you . ❤
❤🎉❤🎉❤
I’d like to reach thru the screen to touch your cutting board, to let my hands witness the stories it has to tell. What is the brown ground spice you sprinkled on your oatmeal?
It's milled flaxseed (linseed), it's very nutritious and gives a nice nutty flavour to the porridge ❤🎄☺
Yes, mainland Europe seems to get the most extreme weather lately- it's quite scary!
@LostForest Unfortunately, yes...
No, I don't. The weather is changing as it always has. Björn Lomborg is a wise man to listen to on this subject. Relaxing videos for sure
Glad you enjoyed it!🙏🎄✨

Buenas noches Gillian!
No cambies Gillian!
So glad you enjoyed the video! That's so sweet about decorating the nativity scene. Growing up, we'd always look forward to my mom putting out the decorations, and especially the small ornamental cottage with the manger. I always wanted to shrink myself so I could fit within the little scene- it looked so cosy and peaceful! Your cookies sounds wonderful - the flavours of the season! I'm looking forward to baking different types of Christmas cookies all this week- I really want to try making Polvorones ❤🎄🥰
Aw thanks so much! Thankfully the power came back in time to decorate the Christmas tree!🎄 🥰💖🙏
