I wanted to express my genuine satisfaction and positive experience with LYNK&CO 01 model during the ten days of usage. I had the opportunity to drive the latest and most advanced version available as of July 2023. I used the car in the hilly regions of France and on the highways, and it provided excellent comfort during long stretches of the journey. In my daily life, I drive a WV Touareg, and comparing the two, I must say that your car exceeded my expectations. The electric charging capability, in particular, surprised me with its fast charging speed. I wanted to take a moment to commend designing and producing such a remarkable vehicle. It truly made my driving experience enjoyable and convenient. I look forward to recommending LYNK&CO 01 car to friends and family who are considering purchasing a new vehicle. The showstopper for me on this car is the adaptive cruise control. It didn't take long for me to get comfortable with it. The thing I like the most about it is it will stop completely. Some cars with it will struggle below 10mph (16kph) and make you take over completely. You do have to prod the gas just a little to get this going again, but it will handle that well, too. I don't think this is a great vehicle for the Netherlands, though. It feels too big for me, without being "big" inside, especially the trunk. Gas efficiency is also a sore point, at about 7l/100km for me. The Mazda3 I have at home has Skyactive, and does 6-6.5. Love the stereo, carplay, and even the onboard maps are good. It's too warm for the heated seats and steering wheel, but the air conditioning is top notch. Driving, especially on the highway where it's quiet and composed, is also really good. I wish we had a way to charge it, and check out the battery range, but that's a fault of my rental house, no the car. When can I get one of these in the States?
Thank you for your videos, enjoyed them a lot and it helped me to get to know as much as possible about the 01. Got mine yesterday and I love it. But one thing that drives me nuts, and I don't know if the joke is on me, because I messed up some settings... The 360 3D view is no longer coming up when indicating... Do you have any advice on that? Its not that I can't drive without it, but its a nice one to have and especially in Berlin with all the crazy pedestrians and cyclists... Thanks again Thom!
Hello. Your videos are so helpful. We are considering renting one of these vehicles on an upcoming trip but are unsure about trunk (boot) size. Can you advise the individual dimensions of the trunk, meaning width, depth and height to the bottom of the cargo cover? I am unable to find these specific dimensions anywhere, only total liters. We need the measurements to determine if our luggage will be able to fit in the trunk. Thank you!

Hi. Thanks for the video. In a previous one you mentioned the 95 km "bug" , is that still there in the new model? Is the bug fixed by using mixed driving mode instead of full electric?
I can't charge the car daily so i wil have to drive the car in hybrid mode. So, If you charge the car fully, what wil the consumtion be if you drive the car in hybrid mode the whole time? So you let the car deside when to use the electric motor and when the ice? How many liters per 100 km wil you make?
I just had one of these as a rental for 10 days in Spain. Overall I was really impressed with it, It's shockingly quick considering it's size & the small 3 cylinder engine, Generally a very comfortable car to drive, But I did have some dislikes. First the boot is actually quite small, probably not helped as it has a storage space under the floor for the charging cable, We travelled to the airport in a friends Dacia duster which we easily fitted 3 large cases into the boot, However the Lynk & Co could not fit them so one had to be placed on the rear seat. Luckily there was only one rear passenger. I also found the lane assist function to be really intrusive, If you changed lane without indicating it was in fact almost dangerous as it feels like it is yanking the wheel to keep the car in lane. Also it has real buttons for heating control but to adjust the fan involves multiple presses on the touchscreen which distracts from driving.
I'm renting one in the Netherlands instead of the Audi A3 (or similar) I wanted, since my flight was delayed and I was deemed a no-show (thanks, Sixt!) I, too think the trunk is too small. My two hard shell suitcases do fit, but it's tight. My Mazda3 sedan at home in the states is better. Lane assist is also a pain here in the NL, because on some roads the "lane" is the middle of the road and you have to move over to the side when you meet opposing traffic. You have to muscle it sometimes, as lane assist thinks you're about to switch lanes without signaling. My only other complaint is I was expecting better gas mileage. It's about 7l/100 with a 40-60 mix of city/highway. I know it's meant to be a plug-in hybrid, but unfortunately we don't have anyplace to plug in at our vacation home.
@@PapaVanTwee5 there should be a cable in the boot (trunk) for charging from a residential plug socket. That's what we used although charging was slow 🫣
How the driver assistance software? I find that many cars now will have very intrusive and annoying software that constantly bings and bongs at you. I mean its handy but hopefully you can permanently turn off the ones that you don't need/want

I started driving a Lynk 01 and am bothered by the high-pitched whining sound from the electric engine when driving. Have those of you who have driven Lynk 01 also heard it? Why do you think that is? I thought PHEV and EV vehicles were well-insulated so as not to hear these types of high-pitched whining sounds which I find irritating. Any thoughts?

Maar de Lynk en co website geeft aan dat de 2023 wel stuurverwarming heeft. Enig idee hoe ik dit het beste vinden kan?? Alsof er toch nog twee versies zijn in 2023.. ik ben het spoor bijster.

I have this car. The most annoying thing is it doesn't allow you to turn on the air-conditioning remotely unless it's plugged in. I've never heard of such a restriction with other modern cars.

The 22's will have the 360 cam which is a handy indication. As for charging, I believe they came in quite late, so I'm guessing september 22 onwards should be ok. Though, check with the seller/dealership as L&C did not gave a lot of clarity about that...

Heated steering wheel is a good addition .. It would be good If I can switch my car to 2023 then haha :) ... but what I am more interested in having some updates on the software side. We still have not so "solid" wireless AppleCar play and Android auto.
Haha can imagine! :-) Gotta say that the software of the very first 01 I had was quite bad, but the recent 2022 I had along for a few weeks was really better already. Let's hope they keep tweaking it, that would make the 01 even more 'perfect'. Thanks for watching!

Last year when i rented one, the guy that was coming for servicing the car was telling me that there would be a larger battery in 2023 alongside a new and more efficient petrol engine. Any news about it? This would drive me back to Lynk&Co way more than the heated steering wheel :p
Fair enough, haha! The 01's in China did get an upgrade with bigger batteries and new drivetrains (EMF and EMP) but over here we probably won't get that. We kinda get the outdated 01 still, weird right?
@@thom-lov Very weird indeed! Because the chinese version would be the queen of the road in Europe with these improvements ... However the main reasons I returned mine back were the horrible customer service (more than 3months to get an appointment for a deficient headlight) and that i was too big for the local narrow streets parking (Brussels).
Q4 this year in Europe, probably a step by step launch. My guess is they start in Sweden (because Volvo/Geely HQ), Norway and Netherlands being typical EV countries.

Ik dacht eerst ik heb de deur niet goed dicht, ben meteen de eerste afrit eraf gegaan om te kijken of ik deur wel goed dicht had. Met dakraam open vond ik ook geen succes, ook veel ruis. Ik ga eens een Kuga proberen.
@@thom-lov some people complain about service, it might look a bit, but it happens. The worst with Lynk&Co is trying to activate the app, it was easier to apply for Swedish citizens hop, to get a job, than getting the app to work. Lynk&Co ask for driving license, ownership doc, a signed form to be scanned and mailed, and still can't get it done. I like the car I bought, but if they don’t improve this digital services thing, I think I will head to Tesla later...

this is is still a bit 'classic' so works well en doesnt annoy you too much. You can also turn it off when needed. No speeding bing/bongs etc. 😊
Do you know if the wind noise from the side mirrors is completely eliminated with this update? It's a deal breaker for me.

Dat is de 360 graden camera, vanaf modeljaar 2022 beschikbaar ip de 01. Gaat automatisch aan bij (krap) wegrijden, inparkeren etc.

How do you know if you have heated steering wheel? How can you enable it?
Probably the same tile as the heated seat for the driver, similar to Volvo. If you can’t find it: you probably don’t have it 😉

@@thom-lov some people complain about service, it might look a bit, but it happens. The worst with Lynk&Co is trying to activate the app, it was easier to apply for Swedish citizens hop, to get a job, than getting the app to work. Lynk&Co ask for driving license, ownership doc, a signed form to be scanned and mailed, and still can't get it done. I like the car I bought, but if they don’t improve this digital services thing, I think I will head to Tesla later...

I went for a testdrive in this car. I don’t understand why you have to go to N first when you go from D to R and the other way around
that's pretty much how all automatic gearboxes work... ?
