Kenny, Pierre, Mike, and Darrick talk about past and current players that are the most unique in NBA history on this week’s Numbers On The Board TH-cam Exclusive!
The funny part about Luka and Jokic is that they have amazing body control, hand eye coordination and spacial awareness, you pair those abilities with great basketball skills and the results speak for themselves
Watching him, he does literally nothing incredible but was so consistent and effective. Whenever I watch an old game and he’s there I’m always enjoying how old school it is
We may never see another player like Prime IT on the Celtics. That man was scoring the basketball with the best of them at under 6 feet tall. It was insane.
Matt Bonner might be the first legitimate 3 point specialist big man ever. There are bigs who shot 3s before him but I can’t think of any actual “3 point specialist” who was at least 6’10
@@flamingbow3 he’s a stretch big for sure, but I hesitate to call him a 3 point specialist because he actually did a lot of other things on the court and was a solid defender. Matt Bonners purpose for being on the floor is to literally only shot 3s and nothing else lmao
shouldve stayed power forward and lock in. Biggest mistake i see people do is trying to change peoples game. Josh smith, Blake Griffin, people want them to shoot now they end up settling too much for shooting. I love giannis because he kept on run and dunking, knowing damn well he also can attack with his spins, drop step, and other moves. Id love to see him get his free throw right though .
Y'all can call it glaze but we've truly never seen anyone else like Lebron ever, one of the most unique players ever. We've never seen someone this good at everything, a well rounded jack of all trades that has one of the highest peaks in NBA history, while also having been able to sustain themselves for longer than anyone thought it would go on for.
Most unique during his time: Charles Barkley, a 6'5 Power Forward who was UNSTOPPABLE IN HIS PRIME! No Forward or Center could stop Chuck from getting 30 & 14 in his heyday!
I also appreciate the discussion of skills vs. athleticism. Derrick Jones Jr. is a plus athlete, but was on his way out of the league. Skills development was his only path forward, and his rise suggests a strong work ethic.
In the NHL, there's a guy named Brad Marchand, who I would love to see an equivalent in the NBA. He's like a Draymond/Marcus Smart type pest agitator player who gives you great defence but will also be at the top of the league in scoring. In recent memory, I feel only Kevin Garnett gave you that and the one great Pacers season of Artest. That type of player doesn't exist these days, so whoever takes that type of player model will be unique.
I agree with Luka because he’s tall, stong, and fat as a perimeter player who can also shoot well and play in the post, but we’ve seen Jokic before. His name was Arvydas Sabonis.
Patiently waiting for Blad Headed Kenny on Saturday
You got dyslexia just like him too 😂
blad
blad head
@@Scugnizzo-damn bro you didn’t have to do him like that 😂😂
😭😭
Charles Barkley was unique, undersized PF who dominated his era and would translate into today's era
Zion is basically Barkley with a bigger vertical jump!
Pierre got that turkish Tory Lanez hair transplant?
I like to mention IT. We've seen a handful of pgs under 6 feet but not one who could score like IT in his prime
Love D-Mills starting it out
The funny part about Luka and Jokic is that they have amazing body control, hand eye coordination and spacial awareness, you pair those abilities with great basketball skills and the results speak for themselves
Might be your guys best exclusive so far 🙌🏻 good energy and conversation all throughout
Andre Miller had excellent below the rim game. He made a good living for a long time, below average athlete, below average jumper, yet tough to beat
Watching him, he does literally nothing incredible but was so consistent and effective. Whenever I watch an old game and he’s there I’m always enjoying how old school it is
Pierre with those hair enhancements 😂😂😂😂
We may never see another player like Prime IT on the Celtics. That man was scoring the basketball with the best of them at under 6 feet tall. It was insane.
Some off the top of my head without really thinking about it Dirk, Charles Barkley, and Zion
Larry Bird with the Jokic and Luka comparisons too
greatest group of all time
YOU DONT KNOW HOW GOOD THE WIGGLES WERE!!!!
Matt Bonner might be the first legitimate 3 point specialist big man ever.
There are bigs who shot 3s before him but I can’t think of any actual “3 point specialist” who was at least 6’10
Mehmet Okur is one of them stretch bigs from the 00s
@@flamingbow3 he’s a stretch big for sure, but I hesitate to call him a 3 point specialist because he actually did a lot of other things on the court and was a solid defender.
Matt Bonners purpose for being on the floor is to literally only shot 3s and nothing else lmao
Wish Josh Smith developed a shot, dude was crazy athletic and great on defense. I remember him getting a few tip in dunk buzzer beaters wins
shouldve stayed power forward and lock in. Biggest mistake i see people do is trying to change peoples game. I love giannis because he kept on run and dunking, knowing damn well he also can attack with his spins, drop step, and other moves. Id love to see him get his free throw right though .
Draymond, a guy that isnt a great scorer, but hes really good at literally everything else. Very unique.
Not necessarily a positive, but Ben Simmons is hands down one of the most unique players I’ve seen
Naaah he's just Magic Johnson playing in the 3 point era
Most unique during his time: Charles Barkley, a 6'5 Power Forward who was UNSTOPPABLE IN HIS PRIME! No Forward or Center could stop Chuck from getting 30 & 14 in his heyday!
Kyle Lowry is super unique. Undersized guard who doesnt rely on his offense and isnt athletic. High IQ, great skill, floor general, and a winner
Also no one got a dumpy like him fr 🤤🤤🤤
Nah Lowry is just better Raymond Felton
Draymond, Dennis Rodman, Andrei Kirilinko, Andre miller, Charles Barkley, Mehmet Okur those are the ones that popped up in my mind
I also appreciate the discussion of skills vs. athleticism.
Derrick Jones Jr. is a plus athlete, but was on his way out of the league. Skills development was his only path forward, and his rise suggests a strong work ethic.
Chicago nate Robinson was crazy
Wemby immediately came to mind for me never seen anything like dude
Rafer Alston "Skip to my Lou "
Love the PJ Tucker shoutout ☝️

Magic!!!
Folks saying pierre got the carlos boozer beijing is wild 😭
Kevin Durant, 7 footer with possibly the best offensive scoring bag of all time. Unique
I agree with Luka because he’s tall, stong, and fat as a perimeter player who can also shoot well and play in the post, but we’ve seen Jokic before. His name was Arvydas Sabonis.
He just seems happier with those "dreads"
Video idea/tiktok idea: All-Skill team vs All-athleticism team draft
Pierre "carlos boozer" andresen
jokic is the batman of the nba, give him prep time and he got it locked down
Lamar Odom was a left handed Magic johnson
andrei kirilenko
Boris Diaw!
Wemby is the most unique player who ever lived. Who else can do what he's doing at 7'4 ?
Jokic is the offensive Tim Duncan
Giannis 100%
Inverted basketball i like that
Before y'all's time but we will never, ever see another Muggsy Bogues. 5'3" and a quality starter for years? Only one.
Do predict the champions for the next five years.. like I said at Trader Joe's to Mike I think. I got the Celtics 3 peating
Giannis
can you guys do some WNBA content? the W is killing it rn and there is a lot to talk about!!
I would say Zion
183 Wiegand Common
Naz Reid
Naz Reid
Wilt
Is there a difference between unique and freakish talented players..
Josh hart
AK-47 came to mind
woah i've never been this early
Who plays like Giannis the last 5 years??
By the way left handed people statically have a higher percentage of ambidextrous
