Why haven’t Philly been able to get past the 2nd round after Ben left? It’s because Embiid doesn’t show up in the playoffs and he actually gets hella worse when the playoffs starts compared to the regular season. All his stats go down and his turnovers go up.

He’s too tall and too fast for anybody to guard him. Him at full potential is unguardable. But that’s the thing, he needs to show that full potential on the court.

Gil has the whole timeline wrong. Ben didn't get booed in Philly. Ben held out because he asked for a trade after he said Doc and Embiid threw him under bus after he was scared to take the shot with 3 mins left in the game. Ben held out because he said he was having mental issues, got traded to the Nets for Harden. Played like shyt for a few games and then said he hurt his back, missed several games. Played like shyt again when he returned. Nets shut him down because of back pains and he had surgery on the offseason.
Basically did the same thing the following year for the Nets but played 15-17 games then had another back surgery. This is the last year on his max contract so he definitely wants to do enough to get at least one more "good contract".
What Gil is missing is that Ben mysteriously hurt his back while he was holding out, it had nothing to do with Doc.
