I'm always impressed how you manage to shoot, take your videos, prepare your b-rolls, walk (and of course efiting your video)... I can't imagine the amount of work, a behind the scene would be great (but maybe it is best I don't see the miracle behind your work). Your shot is really great, the light is beautiful with the little pink touch

So I have been a follower for a while, seen all your videos, but normally don't comment. There is something about the image in this one that made me want to put myself out here. I know it isn't the most "epic" shot you've taken. It is so simple, but complex at the same time, nicely done.
I also want to say thank you for the inspiration. I find myself getting burnt out with photography from time to time, but watching your videos over the past year plus has motivated, inspired, and pushed me out of the comfortable little box that I lived in for so long. So, with all sincerity, thank you.

    Hi Thomas,
just wanted to thank you for being a marvellous and inspiring teacher over the last few month. I went to the Isle of Skye just a couple of weeks ago and lots of what I learned from your videos helped me a lot. I still have to put some of the things in real action, like staying put and beeing patient, like you just did in this video (despite the dreaded midges). I very much like the composition and the result. So keep the heat on, Thomas ;-) and many thanks again.
    Greetings from Berlin, Katja

Brian R beat me to the explanation of the smoke where you were. A good time to remind people to take care when camping in the Highlands of Scotland regards camp fires and wildfires. Some arse was arrested in Skye last week for starting one...selfish git!

Love the video and the shot, I remember travelling across the Applecross Pass in a small coach and seeing the roadside workmen with very fine nets attached to their yellow helmets to keep the midges away from their faces. We were staying at a Hotel in Gairloch, I went out one night to shoot a sunset, it was like walking into a brick wall of midges, I soon retreated back into the hotel and took the image through my bedroom window. These days I use an Avon insect repellent which works very well.😉

No, don't get me wrong - I do think Peter also has a very good style. But it's refreshing that Thomas has his own style too, which is a more slow pace personal type of film making. There just seems to be a lot of Peter Mckinnon copycats out there at the moment. Who don't understand story side of it and just want 'dope montages.'
