I was there last week and i caught them pretty good up in the river on channel swing banks with green pumpkin jig and a shakey head. Could have changed by now. Cherokee is a strange lake. Good luck!

@@RyanEppsFishing thanks for responding but it went okay there were about 400 boats and it was packed but the smallmouth were biting just were too short
I am currently throwing it on a 7'3 Heavy Daiwa Tatula swimbait rod but that rod is under powered for that bait so I am eventually going to have to upgrade. I believe the rod that you saw Jesse use in this video was a 7'9 Heavy Daiwa Kage.

What rod are you throwing that klash 9 on?
