Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Is a remake necessary? [Debriefing]

The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time fell off the radar after the not-so-warm reception of the announcement trailer. During this time, we received two third-party projects in this franchise: The Lost Crown and the upcoming The Rogue Prince of Persia. But we all still love the sand trilogy (or quadrology) and we want to return to it again. So let's turn on the original sands of time again, and understand that it may not need a remake?
