Wow, that is how guides are supposed to be made. 20 seconds into the video, and i'm already listening to important information that i was looking for. TY very much!
Blue start clearing Day 1: Did Practice every move for 4 hours straight. Finish 3:24/5 consistent when not fuckking up any spears etc. Did somehow manage to hit 3:18 in one clear but never again. (I log my journey here to keep track of it) Day 2: Did still struggle to get any faster clears. day 3: Hit 3.19 in first try pretty happy about it
Wait a minute I just played against you in a normal, I knew the name seemed familiar but I didn't realize until I saw the nidalee mastery lol. I just subbed a little while ago too, small world. GG
Oh god thank you so much! Thanks to your video it somehow made click, I guess jumping over the camps to kite them and the two autos = one human Q rule.
another guide I watched used three smites during the clear and made me think I could do it, then went into a game and dc'd at 2 minutes cause I died at the beginning :(, trying these clears out now and I can actually do them, I really want to be good at nidalee and just need more help, great guide :)
I watched the same video and idk how he did it, but you only get 2 smites MAX first clear. If i get a leash, i’ll smite 2nd or 3rd camp and hold my 2nd smite for a scuttle secure/steal (easier than you think, especially if you land a spear, jump to the target then smite steal it). If im invading though ill smite first buff bc i need to kill it and get out asap
if you want, you can take E second on red side, however this will slow your clears a bit. Its possible to do W second but honestly it can be a lil rough on your HP so i recommend chugging the potions before 3. At 3, i find i dont really have too many issues with my hp bc i can just combo the camps down quickly.
For raptors when starting blue: -q from corner of mid lane wall -optional self-heal -walk towards bush and place trap on raptor-side edge of bush -auto big raptor in human form while closing distance so that patience stops going down (so that you're in range for both short-range W and the leash range) -use W in the middle of the cluster of raptors, since it's short range you'll land in the middle -e-auto-q, ensure E hits every raptor -move TOWARDS red so you are between red and the cluster of raptors -short range W the raptors again, this time as far towards red as possible so you remain on that side of the raptor cluster -auto big raptor and then spear red buff -auto during spear flight time -transform will come off cooldown as soon as spear hits, so IMMEDIATELY transform -W will kill big raptor and give you reset -move towards red so it stops losing patience while E'ing remaining raptors (this can be done after a W onto red buff - your choice. wholly dependent on the raptor camp patience because doing this may cause you to reset them if you're new/not careful enugh; i recommend just E'ing the raptors while you're learning because it's much easier, though optimally you should be W'ing onto red buff first so your E hits everything) -> auto-Q red buff and your W should come off cooldown prior to the hunt running out
Gotta appreciate the video just the initial tips might help me. I was finishing the clear with leash at 3:20-3:40 rarely at 3:15-3:20 and I noticed I was not applying that basic at wolfs and not the right W at raptors.
I stopped playing ranked since I don't really enjoy it. I mostly streamed to show people Nidalee in grandmaster/challenger elos so when I stopped playing I didn't think there would really be much interest in me just playing random normal games with my friends (plus a lot of people feel awkward if you stream while they're playing with you anyway)
Well its nice that you still keep up with the clear videos anyways. Im far from a beginner nidalee but im also far from a master so its helpful to see the changes on major patches
@@mabarry3 just to let you know I think there's a way to stream without it picking up your friends voices if they're uncomfortable with it, then you can just make it so you're talking to chat on default and then maybe put your friends on push to talk when you need to say something to them, if that's something that interests you I can try and find an explanation for you. I mean you don't have to obviously but if that was the big reason I'm pretty sure there is a work around
@@trulydumb506 I'm familiar with that, I have my channels split on OBS if I need, I just meant some people feel awkward if someone is focusing on talking to a chat as well. Aside from that, the other problem still exists - I still don't really think people would want to watch a stream of me playing random stuff in normals with the gang :P most of the people who'd care to watch are interested in the Nidalee content Nonetheless, appreciate it though.
After 50+ game with Nidalee in D1. Still the pounce skill mechatnic tips is completely new to me. You explain it very clearly and easy to understand, Now I know that pounce work in a similar way to KAT E, thing will be easier now. Thank you
Hard to say really because that depends heavily on the situation. You can go for long range spears, try to get them to dodge into one, just auto them with red buff, a whole bunch of different options. The combos you take can also change if they have flash available. It's a whole other conversation that I can't really fit here.
Heyy important question. How do you have it so your e heals you on nidalee without clicking on yourself or hovering over yourself with the cursor as nidalee
Started playing Nidalee a few weeks ago. Noticed a lot of high elo will sometimes run Conqueror over DH or Electrocute. Any reason for this? Seems like its primarily when the enemy is heavy ad or the enemy jg is someone who likes to fight. Thanks for the guide!
Conq is mostly just if you are mostly going to have longer fights. I usually take it with divine sunderer if I will have 3+ bruisers on enemy team, otherwise I just take dh and try to burst the enemy squishies down
personal preference, they don't really change much about the clear actually. In a case or two, you might need to wait an extra jungle item tick for the camp to die if you don't take AP, but unless you're about to reset the camp that doesn't matter at all. For stuff besides the clear, I like ability haste a lot but just find my gameplay to be a tiny bit more consistent with the burst damage from AP early game.
I think she's outclassed by a lot of champions who do more damage than her (example: rumble), more easily, but that's nothing really new. It's still "she's good if you're good" which is what it's been ever since season 6 ended for the most part.
I haven't really played league much, and when I do it's mostly just been ARAM. If I do start playing again I'll probably get the urge to make an update because I enjoy doing it
If you optimize one way or the other, attack speed shard is actually faster, but only marginally. But your clear ends up being a bit different and it does take a bit of practice to get the changes down.
Would you suggest to keep smite for scuttle now that it's interaction with smite has been reworked? Or is it more of a game-by-game thing looking at how the enemy jgl is pathing, what the matchup is etc.
If I'm not getting a leash, I would use both smites on the clear. Nidalee's clear is not insanely fast and I would rather have the clear done with me high HP than smite available and the scuttle be hard to contest because I'm there late anyway vs some of the meta junglers with really fast clear speeds. If I am getting a leash, I absolutely do save my second smite. I can easily finish around 3:10 with a leash and one smite available, giving me plenty of time to head into the river.
When you heal doesn't really matter, it's not particularly part of a "full rotation". I did include a W after the Q so the combos were identical with the exception of an E at the start - it operates under the assumption that heal attack speed will be available in most conditions, which it will. If it isn't, you just alter it slightly to compensate for the attack speed
A lot of nid players have gone W for years and it's hard to change that. But W and E have roughly the same speed with E being a bit healthier and easier to learn. Old nid players that have only ever gone W will continue going W.
@@AvDv96 I've done a fair bit with absolute focus, it doesn't actually impact anything on the clear. I used to run it after celerity got nerfed way back in like s9 but i stopped using it since it just didn't feel worth it anymore
Raptor start is pretty dead, it has been for a while unfortunately. You still technically can do it but it's just not worth compared to a buff-start full side clear anymore.
The basics are the same, but with the introduction to jungle pets and the changes to krugs, not everything is the same. Nothing has changed about Nidalee though
I may at some point do a full guide again, but it's a lot of work compared to just running and recording a few clears. Will see what the future holds ^^

Hey Mabarry, what rune page is the best for nidalee, if you want to like sort of solo carry? Conquerer, Electro, or DH, or is it up to preference?
I just go DH if I am vs squishies and aiming to carry. The rune page I would use is in the video description.

Because you can use your empowered jump and then the trap activates, giving you a second one.
