    Cassie, I'm a long time viewer and know that you've identified as being an "oily girl" for basically ever. However, in all the closeups I can tell that your skin is dehydrated! My skin was the same for a long time until I figured this out, researched, and found products that work. Dehydrated, parched skin is responsible for kicking oil into over-production, which makes people think that they're suuuuper oily when they're not. Moisturizing the bejeesus out of your skin and adding some chemical exfoliators would make your skin less flaky and make makeup adhere differently!

      @chlatepdng 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Yep ....I use gel moisturizer garner or Clinique then put (L’Oréal oil sunscreen SPF 30) in my cover girl foundation.
      Makes the application look nice and smooth.
      Cleaning -Clinique scrub the minty one 1- 2 x a week
      And clean and clear face soap to remove makeup with a target face scrub puff

    • @thriftthick

      Thank you but I'm aware of all of that and do actually moisturize my skin a LOT multiple times a day as well as use chemical exfoliants... I just have oily skin, for the most part! My nose is looking super dry at the moment because of how irritated it is (from having kleenex constantly on it, wiping, etc.).

      You defend her that is quiet nice but for no reason😉

    The thing that put me off about his whole launch was in his video he was boasting about how it’s only $22 and how “maybe other brands are overpricing their concealers” when really his is such a small amount of product it comes out to cost way more then other popular brands. If his had the same amount of product as shape tape it would be around $62. It’s so much less product. Even the Nars creamy radiant is cheaper. And Nars is hella expensive. So I just thought that his comments were incredibly misleading. He could have just given the price without trying to shade other brands pricing knowing full well he is not cheaper then them. Just my opinion. Which I’m entitled to have so all the Jeffree stans can save it...

      I'm a fan of Jeffree and his cosmetics overall, but agree, I didn't like that dishonesty and am disappointed in the amount of product. Essentially I enjoy watching someone who really enjoys the whole makeup experience. You look amazing. Could I make a suggestion? Using a tone of concealer that is the same as your own skin colour, or foundation colour, tends to make blemishes appear less noticeable. I find it useful to have one that is a tone lighter for brightening, and one that matches my foundation. Then you get the best of both worlds! Thank you for your review, I really appreciate that you dedicate enough time for the product, so that you can assess things that emerge over time when using it over a number of days. Jamie Aguilera of course it’s a fair chance. Most people don’t use a beauty blender to blend out concealer and the vast majority do use their fingers. Can I just say... She is clearly testing this concealer compared to what she knows. If this is the way she usually applies concealer in the colour, amount and technique it will be the best way she can judge if it surpasses her other concealers. There are no rules to makeup! I have really dry under-eyes so I apply concealer just like her, Cassie wears normal makeup like I imagine the average working person does, I don’t wear a full beat to work as I imagine most do not, so really appreciate watching her reviews 😊

    Without any commentary on Jeffree Star, I would not purchase his latest products. The setting powder is significantly more expensive than most higher-end setting powders. I am surprised you didn't include its price in your assessment of it. At $4.06 CAD per gram, this powder is noticibly more expensive, per gram, than Too Faced Peach ($1.20 CAD), Laura Mercier ($1.60 CAD), Fenty ($1.43 CAD), and Huda Beauty ($2.15 CAD), for example. It is cheaper, however, than Cover FX ($4.20 CAD), Givenchy ($4.76 CAD), and Hourglass ($5.24 CAD). I would be disappointed with the effectiveness of the concealer and/or corrector. Although it covered blemishes, there was cakiness around your mouth, and on your nose. Unfortunately, it did not cover dark circles as well as concealers I've used (from Tarte, Too Faced, and even Maybelline). I also question how much one is paying for the packaging, in lieu of the concealer itself; I expect concealer to conceal! The price, per mL, at $8.44 CAD, is significantly more expensive than than that for Tarte Shape Tape ($3.71 CAD per mL), or Nars ($6.17 CAD per mL)! I may have answered my own question! Thanks for sharing your review, Cassie, Sherrey🎀

    If you do a primer or concealer review I would find it helpful to see one side with the product being tested and one side without. I have a hard time if it is "creasy" because I don't really have a reference point to what your skin looks like without it. I can clearly tell what you mean by "cakey" but for some reason "creasy" is harder for me to see. I think also seeing it against a concealer that you love would be very helpful, just so we have a point of reference on what you are looking for and have an example to compare against.

      Kkw actually has more product and is at least $5 cheaper. But then of course after s&h is like $27-28 depending on where you live. So, that's annoying. Haha
