I heard that you can turn your egg shells into powder in a coffee grinder and add it to your castings for added calcium and being in powder is desovles faster.
I keep all my shells..to rinse them then dry in sun the grind to a fine powder and then I use In and around my garden my worms and compost bin and it's just something I've always done. Calcium for plants.
Great informative video! For how long should you let the harvested castings dry before you can use them for your plants? I once poured a handful of my vermicompost on a strawberry plant and it dried out after a couple days. So I learned that the casting is too strong and needs to be cured before using it on your plants. But I don’t really know what’s the correct amount of time.
I have started with the stacking system to, but i don't put loads of water in but do the worms need a lot of water ? I feed them weekly and i always add newspaper each time. So when do i start the second tray ? Ive probably had the farm now for going on about 3 months. Slso why is it necessary to dry out the vemicast and what was the other bigger system the lady had going. Thanks ✌️🇦🇺🦘
