I lost my Dad to suicide & can't get over it. Counseling doesn't help & nothing helps.
I think I may take my life because the pain & heartache is too much.

My husband took his own life and it’s like a bomb went off in our family. Please stay with counseling, please stay. Your family needs you and loves you. I’ve had to change my counselors from time to time, sometimes you just need to find a different one. The pain does get a little easier with time. It won’t go completely away though; our loved ones dying by suicide changes us forever.

Suicide is a valid and personal decision. We don't decide to be born but we can decide if we want to live or not.
Society has to be able to accept death as they accept life. Forcing someone to live is extremely selfish.

My daughter has been watching my struggles with BP2 that have gotten so much worse in the last decade for a number of compounding reasons.
I’ve been on suicide watch in hospital three times and I know the thought of me self harming terrifies her and just thinking about this is ripping me up inside.
I don’t know how to protect her from my mental health struggles - I wish she had a normal dad… but the depths of depressive spells and knowing they won’t stop coming is unsolvable.
