I don't know the whole story behind 1 mil subs and your videos showing up frequently on my yt webzone. But you used the ikea garlic press like a decent person. Who started this meme? I for one thank him.
Hey Brian, I remember listening to a podcast a while back where you mentioned that your practical/meal prep content wasn't as popular as your restaurant style recipes. I just wanted to chime in here and say I personally get a lot of value out of your meal prep videos, please keep making them. As someone who works full time with a family, I am constantly looking for flavorful, healthy, yet convenient meal ideas that save me time in the kitchen. Keep up the great content!!
6:13 “your oniony ground beef is looking… utilitarian” Hahaha. I appreciate that you’re honest with the viewer and not acting like everything is the best thing you’ve ever seen and tasted. You took the time to explain that this is weekday cooking, you’re looking to save time and make food that tastes good but isn’t going to change the world.
Hey bro off topic a little but I tried your ''delivery style'' pizza 4 weeks ago. On my first bite of my first pizza, I stepped back, and laughed for 1 min straight. It was LITERALLY identical to my childhood pizza. I been making 2 pizzas per week eversince.
I did this and made our meals for the week. I am an experienced cook, but this took me over an hour, probably 75 minutes. If I did this more often, it would take me less time. With that said, we were blown away by these meals and will 100% make them all again and then do some variations with other proteins/grains/vegetables. Thank you so much for putting this together! My husband now understands why I watch so much foodtube and has asked to watch other videos of yours for future meals. We made your shrimp tacos last night, another win!
Dude I've been struggling to cook for myself while in dental school and your videos have been a lifesaver. I'm so thankful there are foodtubers who understand that some of us are extremely limited on time but want to eat delicious meals! I hope you continue to add more videos like this in the future! By far these have been the most helpful in my weekly cooking routine
I LOVE this style of video. Would totally appreciate an ongoing series. I like bulk-prepping ingredients but struggle to use them all up through the week. More please!! 😁
Bri, you are amazing! I used to prep/cook like this when the kids were home and I was working. I was good in the kitchen but you would have made me great. And now that I’m retired with kids in and out of college, I’m truly enjoying so many of your others recipes. Yesterday I made your lobster bisque, had it for dinner (daughter was home and requested it - saying it was one of the best things I’ve ever made. I totally gave you credit!) then today took some to my parents and the rest to friends. Everyone was super pleased with their dinners tonight. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
He's at it again. As someone who wants to spend the least amount if time in the kitchen but still wants to eat well and enjoy food, I absolutely love these videos.
Hey fellow Brian, I don't know if you still read comments this old but your videos have helped me gain so much more confidence in the kitchen. I've made a few of your dishes already, and have been working up to this one, but I wanted to say thank you. The prep was super easy, and I learned how creative I can get moving forward. Tonight I prepped everything and made the peanut butter chili noodles and it was an immediate hit with my partner. Your videos are quick, concise, and informative without being intimidating or overwhelming. Thank you for helping me find my love for cooking!
Hey Bri! Home made tv dinners! I'm an over-the-road long haul truck driver trying to eat good but not spend lots of money on over priced truck stop food or pre-made frozen meals filled with tons of preservatives. Home cooked meals that are easy to make, freeze very well and taste just as great reheated. Would love to see your take on this. Thanks for the awesome content!
Microwaves are used in every commercial kitchen in the world for a wide variety of jobs from cooking bacon to melting chocolate, they are an invaluable tool for certain things. Its not a secret or anything to be ashamed of.
You used normal sodium chicken stock. Salt was added to the ground beef, then it was salted again when the onions were added. Then added salt to the peppers and onions. Then added high sodium condiments, and high sodium cheese. Is the goal a salty flavor? Also, check about di oli vas if you haven't heard of it yet for inspiration for salad dressing.
This is genius! I love the idea of prepping bases and mixing up the flavors all week. I have been making one recipe, like Chipotle bowls or bibimbap, and having the same thing for lunch all week. This looks like a great way I can mix it up more without risking food waste. Great video Bri!
Woah I learned the best way to cut a pepper and I have seen a few ways, how to store cooked pasta in the fridge without it sticking together, and I got some vegetarian meal ideas for me and meal ideas for my husband! :)
This is the BEST video I have seen from any cooking video in 2024. It’s so helpful, information filled, and practical. I feel like I can accomplish this and it’s going to help so much from a time and $$$ standpoint each week. Thanks, Bri!!! (And Lorn…or Lorne…not sure on the spelling…I need to pay closer attention…either way much thanks to you both!)
My go to greek salad dressing is labdolemono. Olive oil, fresh lemon juice, garlic and oregano are the key components. Super simple and packs a ton of flavor
Busy mom here who loves to cook and have a variety of meal options (no shame to classic “mom cooking” but no casseroles in this house). THIS is the kind of meal prep that makes sense. More videos in this series please!!
So I very well may make all of these. I love these series because it definitely helps me with trying to figure out what to make. This episode all looked great
PLEASE, more of this! I love the way you've made meal-prepping accessible, versatile, and easy! Not just showing how to prep lots of food easily, but great combinations to make it tasty as well. Great work, thank you!
Thank you so much for making videos like this! It is incredibly helpful for me: someone who wants to eat healthy but doesn’t have much time and never truly learned how to cook. Please keep making videos like this: would love to see some such as meal prepping vegan food for a week, meal prepping Mediterranean food for a week, etc…
Please make more videos like these. My girlfriend and I are planning to utilize these 1 hour cooking videos to meal prep and it’s the best thing we have found by far
The spaghetti Rosa dish was amazing! We put Italian sausage slices in it. Adding it to our dinner rotation. Making cold sesame-peanut noodles with cucumber slices for lunch tomorrow... I love this concept-- it's a game changer: We're eating real food at every meal in under 10 minutes and not trashing the kitchen twice a day. Genius.
I've been meal prepping for a LONG time. I found myself getting bored, n honestly, just over it lately. I'm so glad i stumbled onto your channel. I've already saved the grocery lists. Thank you so much!
This is awesome with a family with kids. Meal prepping is great for adults, cause you can usually power through the same meal. Not so much with kids. Having variety with simpler dishes throughout weeknights is way easier when working.
This is how the people cook in things like chopped or top chef. Build your components, structure them together, taste for cohesion, then plate. Neat stuff.
Truly appreciate this type of content and am excited for more of this kind. I get tired of feeling like I am spending my entire weekend in the kitcheb to get ahead for the week. This was totally manageable!
This is such a great video!!! Thank you for sharing the process for building blocks - that is so helpful to see how it’s broken down to be prepped but useable and not overwhelming.
My fav. Quick and tasty food is Haloumi and Bacon wraps. Bacon in oven, Haloumi you more or less deepfry/fry and then add tortillia and lots of lettuce, tomatoes and quecumber. Top it with mayo. From start to finish is like 15min. Super tasty, super easy!
This is not the way I typically cook, but I liked seeing how easily the Asian dishes can be prepared. My teenagers love sushi bowls, beef noodles, and bibimbap, but traditional recipes call for so many ingredients and steps. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Bri! I've always wanted to prep meals good for a week but after watching this, it makes more sense to just prep as much protein and veggies and find recipes that'll be using what you've prepped.
I love the video, but for the future, would love if you included how long each ingredient can be kept in the fridge roughly without spoiling. I tried meal-prepping before, but kept pulling stinker boxes outta my fridge. 😢
I really appreciate these videos. I just cooked these foods for the week. It took me way longer than an hour, but I'm happy I don't have to cook the rest of the week. Thank you!
This is the content that I love, prep ahead of time and enjoy quick meals throughout the week. Just one question: how many servings do these recipes make?
This video has been so helpful for my household! Love how these meals use the same batch of ingredients to create something unique for each dish. More please!! 😁
These look great Bri! Are all these things OK to keep in the fridge for a week? I've tried similar mealprepping techniques recently but I keep ending up with some uh.. questionable food after 5 days.
Please do more of this style of video! i.e. making tasty individual components in batch that can be made into many meals. SUCH a good idea! Could you perhaps do some involving the freezer so that meals can be made of the components weeks after preparation?
The peanut sauce noodles are heavenly. I made them as a meal prep and enjoyed them for three days for lunches. Thank you for the cheap and easy but oooh so flavorful recipes!
Cooked grains and pasta can last up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Cooked vegetables can last up to 4 days. Cooked meat and fish can last up to 3 days.
This was my only thought - this is similar to how I meal prep BUT as per the Aussie equivalent of the FDA, I don't use cooked rice for more than three days (it can v. v. happily grow nasties) and in general don't eat any meats after their day 3. This is fine cos I prep enough AND use some vego recipes like Bri does. But I think it would be helpful to mention basic food safety - almost no meal-prep person on youtube does.
Oh cool another one of these! I was actually just using your previous 1 hour video to help with getting meals setup for the week for me and my wife, the potatoes from that video turned out super good. Excited to use some stuff I learned from this video too. Thanks Bri for making all these useful weeknight videos and great recipe videos, definitely helped up my cooking at home!
Please make a playlist with these meals- and if you could add in the title the protein used. I’ve been using these videos almost all month long switching from ground beef and chicken one week to salmon and chicken the next. My parents eat a lot of chicken, so I’m always looking for ideas of things to make them. Thank you!
I've been prepping ground beef like this for the past 4 years. As little as 2-3lbs and as many as 10lbs once in my stock pot when I new I planned on making a huge batch of chili with some of it. I've used it for everything from bulgogi style ground beef to stroganoff to sloppy joes and it's been perfect every time. A tip for if you're cooking more than about 5lbs a tip that worked for me is to add a 1/4 cup of water or so per lb of meat. This will help you crumble the meat down into smaller pieces more easily. It'll take a little bit longer to cook of course, but I'd trade a few minutes of cook time for smaller pieces of beef any day of the week (unless of course you want bigger pieces of meat). You can always tell when you've cooked all the water off because the sound will change. The easiest way I can describe it is to say it sounds "angrier" once all the water is cooked off. Just keep an eye on it once most of the water is cooked off so you only get a bit of color on the meat and not end up with the entire bottom of your pan scorched. It would be so bad ass by the way if you could do a video on how to meal prep your own frozen pizza. Frozen pizza better and cheaper (healthier even, perhaps?) than you can buy would honestly be life changing, especially for those really rough days (weeks, months... these are interesting times we live in) that life some times throws your way. I've tried most of your pizza recipes at this point and I've yet to be let down, so I have faith in you to pull off a recipe like this. Keep kicking ass and don't be afraid to try different video styles if you ever need/want to. I watch all of your videos even if it's a recipe for something I don't like because the quality of your videos is that good, and I'm sure I'm far from the only one that does. Always looking for to each video release.
That chilli crisp pasta dish is a straight up chaos menu item. Chilli crisp? Peanut butter?? You went above and beyond with this one dude, we don’t deserve you
Looks like meal prep genius! One key question though: Will the cooked proteins be safe to eat all week? How long can you keep them in the fridge before they have to be tossed?
I found your channel pretty recently and I'm so glad I did. We're both expatriates from the Chicago area. I'm in rural central WI for the last couple of decades. I bought a julienne peeler in a set with a regular peeler. I never used it until I saw your Big Ass Salad videos and it totally sucked to clean. I've used it on two large bags of carrots already. Just ordered the one from you Amazon links after you showed a closer shot of it in this one. Thanks for the great recipes and tips. I've been watching your videos daily lately and I love your channel now.
Really enjoying your content! Would love to see a video on how to make a holiday dinner and/or party less stressful to prepare especially when cooking for all types of folks including vegetarians etc. 💜
I've been making noodle bowls with GF spaghetti for quite a while. Ask my husband what do you want to eat - he says: noodle bowl! I use chicken, salmon, prawns or minced pork. Sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce for flavour. A mix of several veg: something green for colour broccoli, chard or spinach. Sweet peppers, sweetcorn, peas, slivers of carrot, mushrooms.
Would pickled daikon radish work well in these dishes? My wife has a onion and garlic sensitivity so it's always hard for me to find proper substitutions for those two
I like to chop up deli containers full of red onions, white onions. Celery carrots leeks and fennel every Saturday. Make some stock and stir fry sauces. I think that allows for a wide varieties of soups, salads and strip fries every week
You stovetop Mac, meatloaf, 30 min chili, tomato soup and one pot spaghetti are on top of my list of go to recipes. I also went from knowing literally nothing about bread baking to blowing my friends and family away with my skills at making multiple types of bread. Simply by following the recipes and techniques in your videos. If I could be so bold as to make a request…. I can’t find a good recipe for flatbread pizza that includes something that looks reasonable for the dough. Do you think you could work a flatbread pizza into your lineup?
Omg, keep these videos coming! I really enjoy these food prep videos. Can you also make more salad videos. I need more ideas for salads. Thank you for your content!!!
What do you think of the whole don’t keep rice more than a day or a day and a half? Some health officials are extremely serious about this? They say it can develop mold that you can’t see and soil fast?
The general guidelines are that it is significantly more dangerous for young child or elderly people. The average healthy person shouldn’t have too much issue. The reason they recommend not to eat reheated rice is because there’s a bacteria or bug(I can’t remember right this second) that produce a toxin. While cooking may get rid of what creates the toxins, the toxins and stuff still stay and it can cause nausea and vomiting. This shouldn’t be an issue as long as you’re not holding rice between the temperatures of 40 and 80°F. Which is when bacteria is most active.
Even if you don't have any meat on hand, tossing together some noodles with chili crisp, peanut butter or tahini, and a good dose of garlic is delicious. Sprinkle some chopped green onions and some sesame seeds over the top and now you're all fancy-pants.
I love the videos like this, where you meal prep for a bunch of dishes in a short amount of time -- I hope you consider making more! Even if you don't, thanks for the ones you've given us.
Keep them coming my man these are great videos. More meal prep videos are amazing. Also no good vegan/vegetarian recipes. I mean they have them but the content creators suck at making recipes. I feel like you could really expand and grow a broader audience by doing a few of those kind of videos. Every one needs to know about the goat.
The only problem is preservation. Most of these food items, specially the starch and protein related ones, last at most 4 to 5 days in the fridge before they start to degrade. And since you cooked them all at once, the clock is already ticking. I think an alternative is to have one or two bases made, one for protein dishes and one for starchy ones, and then make the other ingredients on the moment.
I'm totally loving this! However, I can't eat onions and realize I may be missing something with all the talk of "sweet acidity". What alternatives could I try?

❤❤❤most cleans fridge ever! I think we all wish we had your skills. Also love your videos! ❤️🙏🏻✝️🙌🏻
Throw a little soy sauce in that sriracha mayo for an umami kick that brings it to the next level. Saw some sushi chef do it and it's awesome.
Ready for a fall video in this series, please!
100% agree!
Agree. There isn't enough guides like this. We need more!!!!
Imma hafta try it! I remember getting delivery pizza while on guard duty at a lil guard shack on Ft. Lewis in 1981. Not bad! Pizza was still hot, too!
Thanks for trying it!
Bumping this recommendation because it is my go-to home made pizza as well
I made his Chicago deep dish and it was ON POINT. Bri has some good recipes.
Agreed, one of the best homemade pizzas I made to date.
I really enjoy this type of your content, extremely helpful for people who are busy and like to eat (generally) healthy. Thank you
Thanks very much for watching,.
I agree

I'm so thankful there are foodtubers who understand that some of us are extremely limited on time but want to eat delicious meals! I hope you continue to add more videos like this in the future! Thanks for the awesome content!
This would be a great video
I hope he does a video on this!!! I would be so interested
Finally a cooking personality who will admit what we all know - they own and use a microwave
Microwaves are used in every commercial kitchen in the world for a wide variety of jobs from cooking bacon to melting chocolate, they are an invaluable tool for certain things. Its not a secret or anything to be ashamed of.
I love that he used a julienne peeler 5 seconds after the microwave lol

Parmesan isn't vegetarian
@@fr0zenmunky It probably is, it's pretty uncommon these days for rennet to be used.
First! Hey man your pull apart garlic bread got me laid! Thanks!!
What a recommendation
WOW 😲
😂 So now you make his pull apart garlic 🧄 bread 🍞 *EVERY DAY* 😉
Lmao everyone furiously searching this recipe rn 😂
Would upvote twice if I could . Good on ya lad
lmao
This is genius! I love the idea of prepping bases and mixing up the flavors all week. I have been making one recipe, like Chipotle bowls or bibimbap, and having the same thing for lunch all week. This looks like a great way I can mix it up more without risking food waste. Great video Bri!
Brian, my favorite thing about your weeknight dinners are that you seem to really get the things home Cooks care about!
Woah I learned the best way to cut a pepper and I have seen a few ways, how to store cooked pasta in the fridge without it sticking together, and I got some vegetarian meal ideas for me and meal ideas for my husband! :)

I like to hold off on the rice and cool down the chicken broth and use that instead of water. Phenomenal!!!
6:12 "My oniony ground beef is looking...UTILITARIAN" 🤣. Awesome video, love this kind of weeknight/practical meal prep content!
I'm going to make ALL of these meals! I've made a grocery list and I'm setting aside an hour to get going.
Awesome, thanks Paula, good luck
This content is so incredible. I really, really, really appreciate these absolutely realistic and so useful meal planning videos.
The spaghetti Rosa dish was amazing! We put Italian sausage slices in it. Adding it to our dinner rotation.
Making cold sesame-peanut noodles with cucumber slices for lunch tomorrow...

That peanut butter/chili crisp pasta dish looks awesome. These are some really well thought out recipes. Great video Bri.
I made it oh yummmm!!!
This is awesome with a family with kids. Meal prepping is great for adults, cause you can usually power through the same meal. Not so much with kids. Having variety with simpler dishes throughout weeknights is way easier when working.

Love how easy the prep is and the amount of variety in the dishes you achieved. Thanks for this plan, I will definitely be trying all of them out! 🎉
Love this format. So much better than boring meal prep.
My fav. Quick and tasty food is Haloumi and Bacon wraps. Bacon in oven, Haloumi you more or less deepfry/fry and then add tortillia and lots of lettuce, tomatoes and quecumber. Top it with mayo.

Won’t putting super hot foods in the fridge lower the overall temp of the fridge and affect other foods/ingredients in there?
YUP, food safety 101
I've never had an issue personally
I love the video, but for the future, would love if you included how long each ingredient can be kept in the fridge roughly without spoiling. I tried meal-prepping before, but kept pulling stinker boxes outta my fridge. 😢
I really appreciate these videos. I just cooked these foods for the week. It took me way longer than an hour, but I'm happy I don't have to cook the rest of the week. Thank you!
Thank you for your lovely compliment. I hope my recipe was able to help you in your cooking.
I've done this twice now, haven't even tried all the finished dish ideas yet. It's really easy to adapt for anything :) Thanks!!
This is now my plan for every Sunday
until Bri put on another recipe next week
This is the content that I love, prep ahead of time and enjoy quick meals throughout the week. Just one question: how many servings do these recipes make?
Bri bro you are the man. You made me the nail of the evening so many times. You are a legend
This video has been so helpful for my household! Love how these meals use the same batch of ingredients to create something unique for each dish. More please!! 😁
How many portions a night did the above make for you?
These look great Bri! Are all these things OK to keep in the fridge for a week? I've tried similar mealprepping techniques recently but I keep ending up with some uh.. questionable food after 5 days.

I love this type of meal prep. I've whipped up a batch (minus the onions, roommate has an intolerance) and it's been good eats so far.
The peanut sauce noodles are heavenly. I made them as a meal prep and enjoyed them for three days for lunches. Thank you for the cheap and easy but oooh so flavorful recipes!
They all look Dope!! I struggle to make Fresh dinner every night. Sometimes we use leftovers, "Planned overs" as I call them.
Cooked grains and pasta can last up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Cooked vegetables can last up to 4 days. Cooked meat and fish can last up to 3 days.

Says who? They are good until they aren’t. Food doesn’t know what day it’s on.
This looks affordable, easy and tasty. And, thank you for the complete shopping list. I can't wait to try it.
This fits my weekly routine so perfectly man. Really thank you so much for your content! 🇩🇴
Oh cool another one of these! These all looks simple and fantastic! Thanks for all the great recipe ideas, Brian. My family has enjoyed several of them for years now.
Yaaay I've been waiting for this. Love these meal prep videos. Thanks so much!
You went above and beyond with this one dude, we don’t deserve you
It's just a simplified Dan Dan noodle, if you like it try making the full dish you'll be blown away
Incredible! A week’s worth of different, interesting meals. We are definitely trying this on Sunday!
I've been watching your videos daily lately and I love your channel now.
this is the kind of cooking i love to see! thank you for making prepping approachable and tasty.
Reporting back after trying this system out this week . First meal down and can confirm the Chilli crisp noodles are absolutely fire! 🔥
Really enjoying your content! Would love to see a video on how to make a holiday dinner and/or party less stressful to prepare especially when cooking for all types of folks including vegetarians etc. 💜
Wow, this is a great cooking system and allows for lots of creative movement. I am so inspired !
I love easy kitchen hacks! Thanks for the video😊
Loved all the different shots of the dutch oven in this video. The Le Creuset looks magnificent. Is yours the Lapis color? I need to snag one of those
Would pickled daikon radish work well in these dishes? My wife has a onion and garlic sensitivity so it's always hard for me to find proper substitutions for those two
I love that these are all easy make and put together meal ideas that look delicious. THANK YOU!
Would love love love a full vegetarian or vegan version of this video 😍
Let's go!! Love these videos! These are so useful for a busy life! I love to see how you can change the same ingredients to different meals
I like to chop up deli containers full of red onions, white onions. Celery carrots leeks and fennel every Saturday. Make some stock and stir fry sauces. I think that allows for a wide varieties of soups, salads and strip fries every week
All great recipes and prep. My only concern is putting hot food into plastic containers. Fortunately for me, I have glass! Keep up the good videos.
Love this series of videos.... so, so helpful! Can you do one for prepping a week's worth of kid-friendly meals? Or lunches?
I love the precise explanations you give and the ingredient list! Thanks Brian.

This is incredible content ❤ty for taking the time to think this through, film it with character and post for everyone to enjoy ❤
Even if you don't have any meat on hand, tossing together some noodles with chili crisp, peanut butter or tahini, and a good dose of garlic is delicious. Sprinkle some chopped green onions and some sesame seeds over the top and now you're all fancy-pants.
One of the best prep videos I’ve seen! Super doable! Thanks
What happened to “Hey, whassup?” 😢
This might be the best video of its kind yet, from you or anyone else
I like making big batches of ground beef and onion, but this gave me more ideas on how to use it! 😊
Please please, make more of these!!!
Thanks for the great video.
I crack up at all the 3 Michelin star Chefs commenting on technique, food, selections, etc, etc.
I'm totally loving this! However, I can't eat onions and realize I may be missing something with all the talk of "sweet acidity". What alternatives could I try?
My biggest problem...I would eat everything, my husband, maybe the fajitas and burrito bowl, but nothing else!
love it , I prep all the time being a bachelor, it work great if i was out late with my friends,
