This is what I'm looking for in Hip-hop reporting, so glad I subbed. You guys got great chemistry and quality content. Kudos for being about true Hip-hop culture, it seems like a lot of Hip-hop media are just about BS that has nothing to do with the true culture and gossip etc (*cough*HiphopDX*cough*) Props also for mentioning Eminem in a objective, respectful manner.
Love how you delved right into the debate about whether rock ‘n roll hall of fame is relevant for hip-hop. It’s something I’ve been wrestling with as well. Clearly there is a prestige involved, and the RnRHoF is looking to modernize. When they hired Nwaka Onwusa away from the Grammy Museum to work as a curator - someone I’ve chopped up ideas with when she sought to produce programming to honor Tupac - it seems the RnRHoF is attempting to diversify and become relevant to the hip-hop generation. Timely, of course, since boomers are aging out.

I thought it was so disrespectful of Rock Hall to not induct LL sooner. I’m so glad he’s in but it’s like a constellation prize to change categories In order for him to be inducted.
Just laughable that L is just now getting this recognition. At least someone at the RRHF figured out a workaround when the process was working against LL. I thought LL was a shoo-in because like some comparable athletes of yesterday who struggled with induction to their Halls, L was the “first ever” for a few prominent achievements before the lengthier breaks started occurring (I’m intentionally not going with “retirement”). I’m not sure if Cool J ever went multi… and that might be the first era change factor that affected his all-time credentials.
black ppl rejected Rock as Neanderthal..now we're celebrating it..why? Because Rock is synonymous to fame and fortune..which equates to wealth the heaven and success for the World's largest purveyor of Capitalism.

I've always understood the term "Rock 'N Roll" to be a synonym for "pop culture."
