In 2018, I started out watching your Vanderbilt day in a life video to gain some insight into colleges for my oldest daughter who was applying to colleges. And lately, I’ve turned back to your videos as my youngest daughter will be getting ready to apply to colleges, but I forgot you graduated already. The truth is…I realized that I’ve been watching more for myself than for my kids. I guess watching your content brings back memories of my college years and my 20’s. Just wanted to say that I appreciate your courage, creativity, and humility.

I have gone to the same small private school since first grade. My graduation is on Wednesday, and it will be the last time I see some of my friends I’ve known forever. They literally felt like family and even the teachers are almost like friends. Yesterday we went on a trip together and on the way back I started to cry. I never cry and especially not in front of people. This hit home so much and was exactly what I needed. Glad to know others are experiencing the same

Everyone says high school is going to be greater than middle school but for me I think middle school years were probably the best years of my life so far. Everyone at school is so nice, there is so less bullying and the ‘bullying’ is just jokes everyone is making with each other. This was a complete experience on another level, I attended my first semester of college and the pandemic happened. This popped up in my recommended and I watched the whole thing though...made me so happy. My college years were both some of the worst and best of my life. I almost ended my life because I was being so severely bullied on my college campus, which caused me to drive to and visit my boyfriend (now my future husband!!) on his college campus incredibly often, which resulted in me meeting his roommates and friend group. From there, it was history. I have some of the best friends I never imagined I would ever have, they literally saved my life, and we hang out every week despite having graduated over 5 years ago. I’m so happy you had amazing college years and made friends!! May your next chapter be amazing 💕

Everyone at school is so nice, there is so less bullying and the ‘bullying’ is just jokes everyone is making with each other. Even though I go to a small k-8 school, I am going to miss school and I hope I make the same great memories in high school!

This was a complete experience on another level, I attended my first semester of college and the pandemic happened. In India, the situation is still bad and almost none of us have been to college for more than a year. Each and every day passes by and I just can't stop thinking about what all would've happened if covid never existed. Thank you so much for this video ❤️

This popped up in my recommended and I watched the whole thing though...made me so happy. My college years were both some of the worst and best of my life. I almost ended my life because I was being so severely bullied on my college campus, which caused me to drive to and visit my boyfriend (now my future husband!!) on his college campus incredibly often, which resulted in me meeting his roommates and friend group. From there, it was history. I have some of the best friends I never imagined I would ever have, they literally saved my life, and we hang out every week despite having graduated over 5 years ago. I’m so happy you had amazing college years and made friends!! May your next chapter be amazing 💕

Whenever I hear the part "in a small club in Minnesota" I almost cry, because I'm from Minnesota, and I lived there my whole life and moved to a different state and I loved Minnesota. I miss every little bit about it.
I never thought a person from literally the other side of the planet whom I have never met is going to make me cry so badly.
PS : I have cried twice while watching the video and I think I'm going to cry for a while now.
