We know a place with a football stadium size cave under the highways, they really do not know what is under the ground until someone goes down there and checks it out
Dang,,, those smooth slopes are even worse if wet,,, and the slithering pink and yellow glowstick snake disappears into the bottomless hole,,, Stay safe, my friend
I think this is a collaboration time with the action adventure twins. You need to be harnessed up to continue. Definitely in the top 3 most dangerous but amazing as well.
@@AmazingPennsylvaniaI've been binge watching your vids, and they are awesome and entertaining. But yeah, occasionally, I wish they were a bit longer. Maybe do some 'raw footage' vids without too much editing? Then people could chose to watch the long or the short versions.😎👍
I was told some years ago that they didn't use logs as supports to hold the roof up from collapsing because obviously they couldn't but rather the wood let's you know if there's movement because it will give an audible crack even if there's a couple inches movement so could possibly buy you some time to get out
That was back before safety was invented...lol. When it was okay to be stronger than another, air quality was checked by tweetie bird, and natural selection took the weak. Not glorifying death, I am certain it was a brutal way of life. I certainly couldn't do it. This nation was built on the backbone of strong working men, his wife, and the sacrifices they made together. Be it as a soldier, resource gathering, infrastructure, or what have you.
@@charlescampisijr.8065 But How was it actually done? And Why would they Want this particular vein (that's obviously almost vertical) ? I don't think they did it just so they could say they were tough as nails.
They must have used scaffolding, ladders, ropes etc. Anyway, the health and safety was non existent, lighting poor, the pay low. Any mistake and that's it.
Near Shippensburg, PA there’s a publicly accessible cave with the entrance directly under Interstate 81, and also another nearby cave that is by permission only.
I know.. i'm like why did they stop? I think tptb realized it was too easy for the common folk to mine, process, and transport the means to heat their homes on their own. So they took it away.
I grew up in Hazleton and the whole downtown area was built over a mine. You could go into one of the stores - Greco's - and go downstairs to the bottom floor and there was a tunnel entrance that had a little railed balcony that you could lean over and see all these geodes and crystals stuck in the walls. It's crazy.
That was gnarly.😬 Kudos for going in that far and knowing when to play it safe. I know some dudes who would love to send this mine. (If it can be done safely of course). Give Edward and James a shout out at ActionAdventureTwins or ActionAdventureClips, maybe do a colab sometime? That would be awesome!😎👍
Just a suggestion. I wouldn't be climbing around on that loose Cole without a safety rope around your waist. One slip and you'd be done for. I'm speaking from experience. I was a tree trimmer for 10 years and ended up breaking my neck falling out of a eucalyptus tree.
I was going to ask if you would go back with a longer rope but you better not, with the highly likelyhood of loose rocks and debris rushing down coming after you... GTFO was a good call :D
That slope in there was absolutely crazy I’m very curious about what’s down in there cause the harder it is to get to chances are some great things await to be discovered! No one else would dare to venture into hell! Love it! See you guys in the next hole💪🏻
Ever look into the Wildwood Pa, coal mine? I grew up in that town, the mine was closed around 1968, i was 8yrs old, we Played in the boney piles and abandoned structures, all gone now. It was an enormous mine only about 14 miles north of Pittsburgh. You guys are nuts, be safe and good luck on your excursions.
Your gear couldn't have helped you to get that much further tbh because with such a vertical, smooth drop there have to be more safety measures. But I truly enjoyed the showcase of this natural beauty
Would it be possible to tell me the highway number that it goes under? I traveled from NJ to WV too many times to count and there was always one section that traffic would be slowed to about 25 mph for no obvious reason.
🧔🏻👷🏻 to Check the deep isnt some Technology available Like a keyfinder you can whistle for and IT IS answering a noise ? IT only need to be a louder one.
Send down 30 feet of rope !!!! Looks crazy with the way it's slopped , can't imagine working that ! Something tells me you ain't coming back if you happen to slip ! Thanks Phil , stay safe !!!
A lot of these I would be right there with you but this one I couldn't have done...... Especially at minute 8. I'm a psychic medium and it would probably be insane as well I don't even know if I could have gone in. Imagine if they knew where they were standing when they finished descending the rope at the beginning.
With all of the holes dug in Pennsylvania I'm amazed the whole state hasn't caved in yet 😅
What a honey hole this one was. Hell no !Glad you didn’t go down any further down this extreme slope.
Agreed!! That was mighty dangerous...could have gone real bad. Thanks for all your effort!!
I am surprised you don't have a harness and descender.....Another good one!
We know a place with a football stadium size cave under the highways, they really do not know what is under the ground until someone goes down there and checks it out
Let’s Go!
Hey, Edward & James dudes! Fancy seeing you guys here.👍 Maybe you guys should do a colab? Bet Edward would send that mine.👌😎
That was a dangerous one fellas and I thank you for the journey.
Gettin the hell out of that sketchy hole was the smartest decision made.
Dang,,, those smooth slopes are even worse if wet,,, and the slithering pink and yellow glowstick snake disappears into the bottomless hole,,, Stay safe, my friend
Looked like a slinky lolol
I do think you have the highest quality footage of the mining TH-camrs around here
Easily at least top 3 deadliest holes for sure. Love the bloopers at the end.
I think this is a collaboration time with the action adventure twins. You need to be harnessed up to continue.
Definitely in the top 3 most dangerous but amazing as well.
This is a definite. Edward would send that mine.👌😎👍
I've never seen a channel where people yell it's a hole with such enthusiasm so often.
Incredible job putting this video together Phil!🎉
Another great watch. But please be careful. So dangerous ❤
That's one scary ass mine, even by our stands. One foot wrong and it's bye bye. Wouldn't even get me down that rope as I'm no good at free climbing.
That one was sketch city dude. Glad you got out of there, one wrong footing and you’re effed.
awesome video!! crazy dangerous ! i could do without those spiders! 😅
CRAZINESS 🤪 PURE INSANITY 😮 8:02
Let’s Go!#APA💪🎉
Djeez, you guys terrify me, but I can’t stop watching
Your awesome, phil!!!!!!
That's some serious sketch city!!
COoooool!! Except for the spiders .Yikes!
🙋Hello Phil ! Wow! How spooky. You guys are brave. I couldn't have crossed that lose coal. Praying for you guys safety and God bless🥰
Phil, been a Fan since Day one. Question: Have you ever thought about every Now & then filming Longer videos? That would be sweet!
Thank you! Yeah a lot of people have suggested that to. I'll definitely take it into consideration
@@AmazingPennsylvaniaI think 15-20 minutes is perfect length for most of these

Imagine having a task to install those timbers back in the day with poor lighting and no overtime pay
Yeah it’s a sobering thought…
How would they have even accomplished it? Ropes only? I don't know enough mining strategy or history, obviously 😅

I don't think they did it just so they could say they were tough as nails.
I'd say that the miners of yesteryear were super brave to take coal out of there.

7 to 8 seconds of rock tumble...⚰️
Watching your videos I find it amazing how much coal is left in Pennsylvania...
Some of the veins are 50 ft thick and go thousands of feet deep. There's a lot left
I know.. i'm like why did they stop? I think tptb realized it was too easy for the common folk to mine, process, and transport the means to heat their homes on their own. So they took it away.
Billions of tons left, enough energy to power the earth for many centuries!
@@jeffmiller3150 I always thought volcano power would be cool to try.Lots of energy from down there to control and utilize.
@@jeffmiller3150 I agree

I've been watching your adventures. I think it remined me of crawling thru tunnels as a kid to get on the other side of the Turnpike.
What city is that in?
Gotta be another access that doesn't start 90 degrees lol

Well that was Scary AF! 😨 one bad move and Adios! That "ground" you were walking on Sucked... Umm, yeah, Please don't EVER go back to that place! 🙏
Would've been outta there soon as I saw the spiders
I have never agreed more with a TH-cam comment.
You're rope looks like my extension cord after my son borrows it 😅
Happy Fathers Day!🎉😂
I hear you, except it's my sister. I use a can to store my cords now, no tangles...

You guys are great together 😅
I am at 8.36 and you are scaring the *** out of me! And it only got worse!
No way with earthquakes would I want to be in old abandoned mine rains trees be falling
If u had the right climbing gear you could of gone down further but as always stay out STAY SAFE bro see ya in the next video hole
Its so loose, so much above them would come down with them. There's a reason that wasn't just mined until nothing was left a long long time ago.
soon to be PAs largest pothole
Glad yall made it out safely ❤
The glow sticks rolling down looked cool and so did the "snow flurries"!
Nice job man
I liked seeing the rolling rocks!
Are you not going back to that mine?
Watching those rocks tumble down, I kept expecting to hear, "OUCH!"

Were you in the military?
I'm getting those vibes.
Anyway, cool channel, cool videos bro :)
Omg…you just caused me to the “F” bomb by showing those spiders. Now I have the Willie’s. Thank you lol
What good is the rope? If you don’t even have a harness tie off to

POW! Right in the kisser.
Not a good choice, too sketch for words. You guys made the safe decision to get the heck out of the freeway pit hole 😮
those spiders man! are you sure you should go sleveless and in short to those places? one bite from oone of those would definitely ruuin yar day
Yeah I do get bit a lot 😬
Great adventure 🎉
Be safe in those old crazy mines
Would it be possible to tell me the highway number that it goes under? I traveled from NJ to WV too many times to count and there was always one section that traffic would be slowed to about 25 mph for no obvious reason.
"There's no bottom to this." *Immediately keeps going*. This is probably the scariest one I've seen you guys do yet and that's saying something.
Chills just seeing this! 🇺🇸
I would look for lower terrain for haulage adits
that is a very dangerous place. all the shale slabs just hanging there ready to be touched to fall. pretty sure I would went down the hole tho lol
Yes,I think this is the craziest mine yet...
My chocolate starfish was twitching like old Gladys curtains!!😮
Why would someone build a coal mine like that? How are they ever supposed to mine the coal with that kind of a steep slope?
That was sketch!
Thats crazy cant imagine what miners did to earn their pay. Death city if you slip into the abiss stay safe thanks for adventure.
When are you going back go get down go the bottom?
lol I don't know but I want to badly
This one gave me anxiety. One slip and its game over. Please be safe guys.

What is the angle on that, about 30 degrees?
that is a collapsed chute.mine shaft down below.

So how did all these things get reburied ???
Bring a fishing rod reel and tie your glow sticks to it,to haul up and send down again.
Did you throw away your flashlight?
