- In this video we take a look at a TRIX Internaitonal model of a DRG V3201 4-6-4 Dieseldruckluftlok Locomotive. It's catalogue number 22510.
It's a very rare and unique model of a German prototype locomotive from the 1920's.
You'll see a complete unboxing. Then I'll show you this models up close. I'll then give you a recommendation if you should consider buying this model locomotive or not.

Think you might find that the number on the piece of paper under the bogie was put there by the owner when selling it. The T is for Trix and the number 22510 is the model number, probably for identifying which box it came from
Trix is Marklin's two-rail DC line of HO trains.
Interesting note on the paper work. This is a Diesel pneumatic loco hence the 'steam' engine running gear giving the loco drive.
MAN provided motors and air compressors for submarines which can be diesel with pneumatic drive so its a mater of an alternative drive system being tried for railways.
The other coupler is a Rico close coupler.
I reckon that the Diesal drove an air compressor which then fed the compressed air to the piston cylinder driving the loco with high pressure air instead of steam
Durch Vorsprung Technic ???😁
I like it thanks for video.
I'm glad you like it
I once designed a lego version of this thing but never got to ordering the blocks.
Looks like it was made from two bunkers of tank engines
Is possible inside decoder?
that is a very different loco
