What a heartwarming tribute to Balu sir ❤️ It was after his passing that I realised... that my self-curated playlist... that I listen to in my car were actually filled with his songs right from the 80s to the recent ones. I literally grew up listening to him sing... & I realise that many nights he's been the mother to sing us a melodious lullaby... that drifted us to a peaceful sleep no matter how hard the day had been. Listening to melodies like Nalam Vazha, Mandram Vandha, Sangeetha Megham... brought back fond memories of the man who lead us by example... to always cherish the child in us. He's been a blessing to many not only with his gift of music... but also with the warmth in his smile & kindness in his thoughtful deeds. His voice in audio was a pleasant surprise. Celebrating his life through the memories he has left us with... was soulful. Though we greatly miss his presence, but the echo of his renditions & humanity will continue to reverberate in our lives. I want to tell lots about My Soul Guru SP Balasubramaniyam . He is my passion. I learned music only from his songs and became a stage singer. I have only his photo in my room. My dream was only one day I want meet SPB Sir. I tried many time when I visited to Chennai and also in London, but unfortunately I did'nt. I never thinking he is not with us, but he always with us as a form of music and songs. In later days when I watch his show I was very keen to listen what he say some think, because he is an example of human being like God. I watched this wonderful tribute birthday video to SPB Sir. In my younger days I used to sleep to KJ Yesu sir songs but when I had my son he used to sleep to Ayarpadi and he sang it as well. His first proper song is Chippi irukku. SPB sir people like you are very rare (eternal) and I'm thankful to have seen you (via media) in my lifetime, my duty is to pass this forward to my next generation and will do so with all the love I have for you.

I was not fortune enough to see him live. But his songs makes me delight. I can speak Tamil and I studied in Sinhalese Medium.
