Braver than most. Thankfully being in the UK, I have the euro edition and my bi xenon headlights, I am planning on swapping out the bright white LED with the bright yellow LED for my halos, and match it with bright yellow fog lights. I love how easy it is to mod these cars and make them your own!
Personally I like OEM a lot looks way better then any after market headlight with a nice polish an clean up an changed the Angel eyes bulb to new 1’s would of been good as new 😮💨 that’s just me personally an the amber light look I don’t know something about OEM angel eyes
Most individual parts that you’re referring to are not available. The Composite Headlamp without the bulbs and other components BMW part# 63-11-7-161-670 is over 1K on sale.
lol this guy absolutely savaged his headlights, and is like "naw thats fine" Bro you need to bake them in the oven... work a bit loose, bake, work, bake work. until you can get a knife in there and cut that shizz loose.
Agreed. I absolutely destroyed the first light but got the second one done perfectly. For the first time, I'd recommend baking them, although I had no condensation
Did you experience the resistors burning the plastic housing ? Bc I know they get hot bro I’m in the middle of the process of doing mine but want to avoid that If that has happened to you if you can lmk bro thanks !
Chiming in, I’ve had resistors in several, the plastic cap/s piece that covers the halo bulb wiring and where the resistor went is made of the same composite material as the headlight assembly itself. The caps (there’s the long one and big flat one) are $24 usd each. Ensuring the seals are in good shape and adding your choice of seal lubricant is a great idea to keep those caps tightly sealed and water out. Rebuilding mine now due to a broken tab that allowed water to fill the halo cap.
Bro, I know it has nothing to do with the video, but what did you do to make your car sound nice? Does it consume a lot of fuel like this? As? My stock consumes 5/100L
Looks good! Am also considering in doing this mod but since I've recently replaced my angel eyes bulb I'll wait till they burn out or a year or 2. Saw in the other comments that you did the wiring for the halos to function as blinker lights too, would it be possible for you to show the wiring on that as well?
I just had the yellow wire go go to the positive terminal for the corner turn signal light, I did have to code the led signal to avoid hyperflash, but all worked well!
Really nice job man! I used a kit from the Angel eye guy for my E92 and they turned out great. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a kit for my 07 E90 sedan. I know you just done them recently but how are they holding up? Did you scuff the old Angel eye rings to paint them and do the new rings clip on or did you double back tape them? Looking to do mine soon cuz I don’t want to go aftermarket. Thanks bro!
I have since sold the car but at the time of sale they were great, no issues and functioned like oem. I didn't have to scuff the original rings, only the chrome for the paint to stick, and the new rings were held on with jb weld epoxy.
Hey, I just installed the Angel eyes on my e92. I connected the LED Angel eye to the original H8 bulb wiring. It worked initially but after about an hour one Angel eye stopped working and then the other stopped working. Have you had any issues with connecting to the h8 wiring? I used the two positive cables from h8 and the one negative cable from the h8.
So I finally ordered the parts. Halo rings seem cheap though. How’s the longevity on them and do you recommend any other brand that would be better than these? I know you sold the car but just wondering. Thanks
@alexayala3660 They were working until I sold the car, they were super bright and I never had any issues with dead leds or anything so I'd recommend, if you want to fish out the extra money I've seen Profile Pivot Halos, they seem pretty promising!
@@UnrealGarage I did that to my E90 LCI and 51 328 i but it's the u-shape it looks really nice and I even bought her aftermarket which was even better cuz it all it already had pre-installed u-shape The high beam takes a H1 while the low beams take a h7 I'm trying to find LEDs to fit them cuz my BMW didn't have the same headlights as yours did mine were both h7 other than that looks really nice thank you for sharing your video I wish I'd followed you before I was tearing down mine
I want to do this too just scared that after opening them up the condensation will still get in. So I’d love to know how they’re working out bro thanks
@sup dougs I have a TON of seal on them so I haven't had any condensation issues. I did open them up once more to hook up the angel eyes as turn signals and I haven't had any issues since.
dude you better be careful, the manufacturer of those resistors clearly states that they get extremely hot and that you should mount them to metal not plastic, you have an electrical fire potential under your hood
I had depression, feeeling down on myself. This video put me in a positive mood. Thank you!
Okay that looks super clean!! See you from VA too my guy. Nice Bimmer!
thanks bro!

That's great! Mine are switchback so they blink yellow with the indicators, I did that later on after I posted the video
Nice mod. Essential for old bmw.
Yes! Thanks
Bouta do this to mine

Hey man! I'm not sure since I removed the resistors right after this and just coded the DRL LEDs in BimmerGeeks Pro Tools just to make it simple.

I did end up selling the car a while back so I'm unable to make a video anymore!

@@alexayala3660 I ended up removing the resistors and coding them as LED DRLS in protool!
Did you cut off the ends of the angel eyes wires to fit everything in the angel eye bulb housing?
Yes I did
I prefer the switchback so then when you're making a right turn or a left turn your bulbs turn the exact same color as you were turning

hey what's up man
does the angel eye itself stay on or does the low-beam bulb turn on as well
For mine it's only the angel eye on
Do you need the resistors on Lci xenon ?
I'm pretty sure the halo size is different so please make sure its the right ones. The original bulbs are halogen so it will need resistors.
