I want to thank you for encouraging people to work on the Bach Sonatas and Partitas even for lower level players like me. I recall from another video of yours that you mentioned the Partita No 2 Allemande to start with. So that's what I did this past Summer. Memorized the first half up to the repeat. Worked on intonation and phrasing. I'm not sure what to work on next, but came across a tutorial on this Partita in E yesterday and learned the first section by ear. Then this morning, came across your video. When you break it down like this, it seems more manageable. And using it as an etude, even just a section. These Bach solos that seemed far beyond reach, actually can be worked on slowly, as exercises. Thanks so much for encouraging people 😊.
Thank you so much for this lesson on the Bach Partita no3 in E major. I have tried to teach myself and failed (there are no violin teachers near me). Your presentation is so interesting and super practical. Wonderful! Best wishes, Sheila ❤
Thank you for posting! This is the only teaching video I found about the string crossing on this specific piece! I have been stuck at string crossing issues for so long and just couldn't figure out how to do it. Please do more Bach sonatas and Partitas. Would love to learn more about the triple stops and fingering flexibility for all these Bach pieces. Great classes!
Thank you very much for this teaching! I learnt really much from this video, I am going to a summer camp and have to play this piece, you just rescued my life!
I am working on this piece and find it really helpful that you mentioned to pay attention to how the hand and arm should move between each pair of strings. The vibrato you added at the end of the video was lovely and I hope someday to do something like that too! For now I am just trying to get through the piece though. Thank you.
13:04 it’s so hard for me to get the rhythm but it sounds so beautiful. will keep practicing though of course i’ll eventually get it :) thank you for thissss
I am at a 7th grade level in my playing lol so this piece freaks me out but I love watching your videos and one day I will be able to play this . Happy New Year to you and your family :)
This was excellent. As I'm sure others have written, I hope you are able to do more!! maybe, even more on this piece. Something I've wanted to work on for many years: i get thru the first few bars, but fall apart soon after ☺ Happy New Year!
That piece was originally written for organ and orchestra the technical demands are different for violin or keyboard but overall just as difficult. Adam Beanstock
Yesterday I was practicing mozart eine Kline The the starting two chords just killed me How really how could anyone play 3 strings at once i accidentally founder my my bow 😭

Yes, so beautiful!
I can actually get the bowing right, but the melodies in the bariolage passages always confuses me :/ and then i get lost.
