I was one of those young ladies that had a abnormal pap smear, told it "could" be hpv, went through getting my cervix frozen. It was horrible! I was around 21 at the time, now I'm 35 and just went through a very traumatic uterine biopsy that came back inconclusive and now have to have a d&c with a more in depth uterine biopsy. I'm in Louisiana so if it comes back as cancerous, the first phone call I'm making is to M.D. Anderson. I know several people who have received care there and it's an amazing facility! We also have a local nonprofit that provides private flights to and from Houston for treatment free of charge to patients and family.

Excellent! Lovely shout out to those in the lowest rungs of the socioeconomic ladder. Health inequalities are ever present and hardly spoken about in this polite, empathic way. The NHS and its "socialised medicine" is often a source of sneering, but at least this is an area where it excels, in trying to level down inequalities by the double axe of preventative public health action and targeted universal, means-funded access to treatment. Great video! Many thanks.

I am a patient at MD Anderson Cancer Center, I cannot say enough good things about this place! This is coming from someone who is going to school to be a naturopathic doctor. I went to two other medical facilities before going to MD Anderson because I lived in Colorado at the time and I wish I would have started at MD Anderson. They made this part of my life so much easier and the place is filled with compassion!

I got the hpv before I went to college thanks to a very cool mom whose on top of these things. Of course I had to get all 3 because when it came out I was 16 or 17. I. Not a parent, but I find it disturbing that parents are more upset about the idea that their kids could be sexually active than they are about their kid maybe getting cancer.

It's sad that there aren't anymore views, I think this is pretty important.

ZDogg, this is amazing! I help run a SNF in ohio and have the hospice talk with residents all the time. I find most patients have trouble finding what palliative chemo and radiation means, so it's reaffirming to know that's the norm. Thank you for what you do, i love to laugh but i find you are changing my approach to the care i provide and teach my nurses and STNAs to provide.

So glad you had an gyn oncologist on. I am recent ovarian cancer survivor. I never knew they existed until my dx. I had all my preventive test and I am Practice Administrator of Family Practice office in Silicon Valley. I thought I was informed. I wasn't.

Mindfulness is allowing the future to take care of itself, and acknowledging that the past is complete, and acceptance of the present as the only truth.

You look great, ZDoggMD. And more importantly, you have parted ways with potentially cancerous spots.

This conversation is necessary and absolutely fascinating. ZDoggMD you need to host your own TV show. The type of medical and health care information you are “curating” and presenting is extraordinarily valuable. I have watched other medical shows. The physical and emotional care of human beings is always interesting regardless of the malady or affliction. But in my humble opinion, in terms of determining what to broadcast, the priority should be placed on material that not only informs but educates the public. There needs to be a renewed commitment to the promotion of and engagement in preventative health care... especially as we face an “epidemic” of ignorance related to immunizations and “fat pride” (or other such nonsense) related to denying the dangers of not vaccinating and not facing the reality of killer obesity.

I had the colposcopy as a 22 year old. I was so scared. But thankfully it went away on its own. Maybe unnecessary, maybe overtreating.....Have never had another abnormal pap since. I get my HPV test this year.

Have you read Overdiagnosed by Drs. Woloshin, Schwartz, and Welch? It makes the claim that most screening tests are overused and lead to more harm than benefit. I would love to see you do a show on it.

Shavasana is the last pose in Hatha styles of yoga, it's the corpse posture. You are dead during it, and weird shit happens there. Its awesome.

FYI, third base is manual stimulation of the lady parts. A home run is intercourse. Consult Dr. Meatloaf and his seminal work, Paradise by the Dashboard Light.

As a Doctor do you have an opinion (besides the large cost to the patient) on vaccinating outside the age window if a patient wants the vaccine?
