There isn't a set released date for the videos.

Just to clarify, I’m not saying the Septuagint uses Hebrew, but the word it uses for slavery in the Bible we know today uses a similar word could refer to servants.

Ebed is the same word used to describe the slavery of the Israelites at the hands of the Egyptians, from whom god needed to save his people.

      I agree

@@JCOJourneyok, so do you intend to show why it should be translated differently in the two contexts, or are you saying Egyptian slavery was also the more palatable "servant?"

@amaizenblue44 I’m saying the term “ebed” is the word being substituted for slave or servant. They were seen as the same thing back then. So in my videos, I use them interchangeably to reference back then or voluntary and involuntary.
      Two questions.
What’s the difference today between a slave and servant.
In exodus 21:2, should it read Hebrew slave or servant?

@@JCOJourney so then you plan to show that for Hebrew owners, it meant servant, and Egyptian owners it meant slave. Do I understand you correctly?
We've already established that there are different rules for Hebrew slaves and foreign slaves. So im not sure it matters what Exodus 21 means if it's talking about Hebrew slaves.
By far the largest objection from skeptics is by which manner foreigners were owned.
So when you make a generalized statement about Hebrew slavery being Servants instead, it doesn't accomplish anything to focus on Israelite servants.

What is the difference between a servant and slave? Is there such thing as voluntary slavery? Involuntary servants. Do we have servants today? There was no distinguish between the two back then.
Someone owned somebody else. That’s the meaning. Simple. You can call them slaves or servants.
I go through the difference between voluntary and involuntary servants/slaves as I mentioned.
But I’m going through it from the Exodus 21 perspective.
I plan on the Leviticus 25 perspective later down the line, but to keep it simple.
The Lord is good. His actions are fair. The Bible list people who were non-blood Hebrews who can join the covenant and become Hebrew. No reason to say they must follow all the commands but not released on the 7th year.

You don't need to explain anything on God's behalf. This is a book about reality, and if someone can't handle that then it's not for them.
It was written a certain way with full knowledge of how that would be perceived so that many would turn a blind eye to this information. It isn't meant for them, and you won't convince them. That's how it's supposed to be.

After my comments after an earlier video, I came to that conclusion people just don’t want to know. The videos aren’t necessarily for them but to try to help believers understand what happened

Yeah, as an atheist, I’ll agree with the Christian. Our differences in morality won’t allow us to agree on this. You must defend everything God says because obviously everything God says is righteous. Other apologists have been debating this for years so leave it to them.

@@FreeStyle888. I’ll say explaining rather than defending. God doesn’t need anyone to defend him or his actions.
