    Fine Art Photo Editing check list:
    1) What you see is what you send to the printer.
    2) No image sharpening that is not in the file that's sent to the printer.
    3) No color space weirdness or enhancements that are not in the file sent to the printer.
    4) Definition: "Color Accuracy" = The color you see on screen is the exact same color that comes out of the printer. Including smooth gradients on print (no banding). And small color nuances show up in the print with no artifacts. In other words, what you see on screen is what comes out of the printer.

      Thanks for the great comment! These are all great points to keep in mind when editing fine art photos for printing.

      "Definition: "Color Accuracy" = The color you see on screen is the exact same color that comes out of the printer. "
      Not true. A screen displays by transmitted light. A print by reflected light. They are two totally different display technologies and can never be identical. In addition, choice of paper radically influences the look of a printed image. Printer specifications also have a major influence on the look of a print.
      My 8 dye ink Canon Pro 200 will produce a different image to a Pro 300 pigment 10 ink printer and so on, up and down the printer spec ranges. Trying to match a screen image to a print is a chimaera, a fool's errand. What is important is to know what a screen image looks like that will produce the print that is what you had in mind when you took the original photograph.

    I would say the ASUS ProArt PA279CRV is the better option above all of these monitors for Photoshop image editing. 100% sRGB, 99% P3 & 99% Adobe RGB @ 4k. Not ure it was available when you did the comparison?

      I'm considering either this or the BenQ SW272u (also newer than the BenQ featured here). However, there's a big price difference between these, so I'm not sure I can justify the extra cost or not.

    Does Lightroom and Capture One work with windows scaling settings? (for example set to 150 %)
    Do the sliders and fonts get bigger in Lightroom too (like the windows task bar and icons do)?
    Because otherwise 4K would be too much for me on 27 inch ...

      @@br8future I read several reviews that had major issues with the monitor and returned them!! Seems the C cable connection is an issue and that’s not good ! I liked the price difference for similar features, but I am still leaning towards the BenQ SW271C or SW321C.

    Between the ultra sharp and the Asia pro art which one is more color accurate?

    • @br8future
      @br8future  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Between the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE and the Asus ProArt PA279CV, the Dell is more color accurate. It covers a wider range of color gamuts, including 99% of Adobe RGB and 100% of sRGB. This means that it can display a wider range of colors, which is important for photo editing and other color-sensitive work.

      @br8future  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dell UltraSharp U2723QE is a great all-round monitor that would be perfect for both gaming and photo editing. It has a high resolution, accurate colors, and good ergonomics. It's also a bit more expensive than the other monitors on the list, but it's worth the investment if you're looking for a high-quality monitor that can do it all.

    I don’t understand how some of the monitors mentioned don’t have Adobe SRgb listed in the coverage percentage to be good for photography editing???

    • @nogerboher5266
      @nogerboher5266 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Because AdobeRGB is mostly used for prints.
      sRGB is used for viewing on screens, phones, internet, etc...
      Rec709 and Rec2020 are used for viewing on high def and 4K TVs, as well as digital cinema.
      DCIP3 is used for digital cinema and film.
      NTSC 1953 is no longer used but it was used for television in Americas and certain Asian countries.
      if youre editing to print images, you get a monitor with 95% or more AdobeRGB.
      if you editing for viewing on monitors, phones, internet, etc., then you choose a monitor with 99% or more sRGB.

    • @jo69123

      As far as I understand, Adobe Rgb is a higher color spectrum that contains the colors for the sRgb color gamut, you should look at the chart to get an idea

    • @mikedavis1110
      @mikedavis1110 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jo69123 Yes I know the Adobe RGB has a larger color range, but my comment was why other monitors don’t list the value? I found the BenQ SW321C on sale and ended up buying one with all the different color gamuts.
