How to help your kids read their first sentences - especially if they struggle!

You might think that reading sentences with simple cvc or vc words should be easy for your child since he or she already knows letters and sounds, but it can be a slow, tedious process for many - especially if they have memory and/or processing issues. This can be hard on the teacher/parent to sit through, but I urge you to be patient and enjoy the struggle as much as you can. The more exciting and fun you make it for your child, the more willing to work with you they are apt to be.
