You will get used to the new truck just as Teddy will, just like a new car, takes a little bit of time to get acquainted with the new technology. Take care and keep the shiny side up, you are a professional you've got this. Google those recalls on the 589 model, there's a few of them. AATW!
Good morning Lafonda ! Thanks for the first impressions .Teddy doesn"t seem to trust it yet 🤣 I also congratulate you on now having 1700 subscribers . However , it makes me a little sad 😭😭 because you can no longer answer all the many letters . But that was exactly what was so individual and beautiful on your Chanel. Greetings from Germany 🙋
I'm sure your mother is proud. You have such a professional and well-mannered spirit. I ran upper state New York for many years. Baldwinsville, Rochester, Showdack landing, Buffalo.. I sold my truck and trailer 2 years ago and run local now for a small carrier in Central Florida. I always had a black and silver German shepherd with me. Her name was "Promise" she got very sick after I sold the truck and passed away. There isn't anything better than having a fur friend. I certainly enjoy your honest and sincere approach to everything. Stay safe! 🙏
@@Dominator70 Wow! Thank you for sharing that. I run upstate NY just about every week. I especially like coming through Watkins Glenn and then route 15. And I’m sorry to hear about your German shepherd passing away 😔
Glad your maiden voyage was a safe one besides the fifth wheel. Hope you can get the door to open a little bit more so he can get in and out of it better. He is a handsome dog . Have safe travels and may God Bless you both! ❤
@@jeraldmcwilson2189 🤣🤣 yes I have tried that…he has “special treats” which are normally a cows ear or bully stick and I show it to him and then lay it down on the floor where I want him…it has been working but takes him 10-20 minutes to finally go (he’s playing with me now LOL)
@@gregmonhollen4327 thank you…yes that is what happened but it never “released “ because I tried and then when it was time to go (I checked it and it was latched) but I started to drive and it was Not latched…
@ what we do with our Peter belts we set the trailer brakes put the truck in reverse push against the trailer set the brakes then released the fifth wheel. Try that.
Set the trailer brake, ease out clutch to remove all force from lock, set truck brake put transmission in neutral, your interior release should now unlock. Do everything else as normal. B T W Teddy will get used to the new. Truck after he has his smell on interior. Take care, be safe.
It's a beautiful Peterbilt tho it'll just take some time to get used to it it should even ride smoother then the Coronado and have more power have a good and safe trips
Poor Teddy! And, yes…he is a handsome boy♥♥ He knew the difference right away. I was wondering how you would manage just getting him in there. He looks totally out of his element! That look he kept giving you said it all….Why, Mom??? But, he got back in again, and he was eating, which is a real good sign. I think it’s just going to take a little while for both of you. I know you’ll be getting that fifth wheel straightened out, and that will be one less worry for you. Glad you were able to get those window covers so quickly. Safe travels!!
@@CoolTaxiDriver You’re right about him eating because if he does get nervous about something he won’t eat. And it’ll just take time until he gets used to this truck and then he’ll forget all about blue lafonda 😄

@@michaelmatthews8953 oh my! No I didn’t know about that…thank you for letting me know!! It seems all new vehicles nowadays have been having so many recalls 🙄
Not 4 nothing. Are you sure that's not the button for the fifth wheel slide. Just Saying. Those new trucks have messed up dashboards nowadays. Never saw a Pete with a release in the cab for the fifth wheel. Mostly company trucks like freightliners or Volvos. They don't want their drivers to hurt themselves. LMFAO. You probably do have a manual pull wheel. Good Luck. Stay Safe Out There. 🙏 🇺🇲
Crazy when trucks get ordered things like those curtains get missed... Think the slsperson woulda caught it or the order computer would have red flagged it... I'm driving a new 579 that has no storage cubbies over windshield and no lights for the footwells. Big dummies doin the ordering and takin the orders that miss stuff like that. Imo anyways.

I have. 2 Yorkshire Terrier and a Poodle, all three are just as suspicious of anything new as Teddy 🤣
The best looking part of the truck is Teddy sitting in the passenger seat 💺.

If you can find the owners manual, start reading it..
Know your truck inside an out. You’ll do well.
