- @UPERFECT delivers another great portable monitor that may be my favorite portable monitor so far. I can't wait to see how these monitors improve over the coming years but where there out right now is incredible. I do think you could use some of these as a primary monitor if you wanted to. Links are below so you can pick this up along with some of the accessories like the monitor stands and arms Uperfect has. Let me know if you have any questions about this in the comment section.

I am using this in portrait mode, along with my 27" monitor 1440p. it has been phenomenal and has saved me a ton of desk space!
how do u prop it into portrait mode? do u need to buy a seperate stand?
thanks for the review! i just ordered one to use in class for school. think it'll do the job well.
Thanks for the review, really appreciate it!
I like the fact that it doesn’t needca battery. Only the plug for when in use, i had a forhelp monitor but it didn’t last long cause of the battery life lasting only 4 1/2 hours.
I have a 18inch 2k portable Monitor and Samsung dex looks AMAZING i love portable monitors more then i thought i would i dont even use my phone without the portable monitor when im at home
Got this monitor, and it's almost perfect.
Look and feel is excellent. It's light. Colours and brightness are great.
The only downside is quality control....
The first monitor that arrived had damaged backlighting. It had 4 brighter spots on the screen right at the place where vesa mount screws are supposed to go (I didn't attach any mounts, so it wasn't me, and it wasn't the postman). UPerfect's support was kind enough to replace that monitor, but the next one that arrived had a problem connecting over usb - it constantly connects and disconnects from the laptop (no matter if I add a power supply or not). I won't be replacing it, because everything else (including HDMI) works. Just be aware that these things happen.
I game on this monitor daily. I don’t regret this purchase one bit.
What console are you using this on?
@@stoichr3324 Xbox series X and Nintendo switch
Nice. Do you have any recommendations on color settings? I just got the 17.3 one been on the series s.
Does it work 120 fps on Xbox series x?

Thanks for the review, been looking for a new portable monitor to replace the cheap aliexpress one I had that died after a few months use
Just ordered one. I like the aspect ratio because I do graphic design. That aspect ratio will be helpful for my work purposes.
16:10 is highly desirable for productivity, and many high end laptop manufacturers are switching from 16:9 to 16:10
Great review
Nice video but probably should turn off auto white balance when switching through the modes
Thank you for the video. Does it work with G-sync using HDMI cable?
yes
Those who bought this monitor, did you made any fine tuning? I guess the default settings looks too washed for me. My default is brightness 0, black level 20, contrast 60 and color temo warm. What do you think about these settings?
Im planning to get this monitor to make a bed gaming set up (my pc is on same room, wireles ketboard, mouse and controller. I just dont want a handheld yet and its too expensive right now xd
How is the motion response? Is there a lot of blur? Is the input lag also commendable? I'd like a number on the response time. They say it's 9 ms black to white.
Can you slide the back of the case up and down the back of the monitor? That way you might be able to adjust to get to more angles.
I purchased this monitor in the last week off Amazon, but I'm not certain I got the correct model. When I use it with my macbook pro via usb-c, I'm seeing the option for 120hz and 144hz. I cannot find anywhere in the product listing about it supporting 144hz, and it hasn't been mentioned in any other comments. As far as I can tell, there is no way to verify the model of the product. There is no model number on the device itself or within the OSD.
Personally, I'm liking whatever monitor I actually got. With my macbook pro, I'm able to display 1600p@144hz and power the monitor with full brightness using a single cable. At 60hz or 120hz, I'm also able to enable HDR. Personally, I don't think it's bright enough for HDR, or you may just need a really dark room.
I'm curious what the difference is between the game modes (Standard, FPS, and RTS). FPS and RTS seem to increase the brightness.
Thank you for great review! Beautiful quality of video!
I have a question about using of this device. I have Steam Deck, which contain 1 USB C port.
If I connect this monitor via USB C and connect charging to monitor USB C port, it will charge Steam Deck also. I I should use USB Hub with PD?…
It won’t charge it unfortunately
@@1UpNerdcore thank you for your answer!
Can I use a typical 5V 2A portable phone charger to power this or do I need to buy a portable laptop power bank?
Mines better £410 though but worth it Viewsonic 15.6 oled.
The better stand and cover is worth £100 to me also 3 year warranty.
Great body bro what game was you playing when you was flying that bird?
Horizon forbidden west
Wait, who makes the actual LLC d panel? Would it be Samsung or some other company?
what's the freesync range of this monitor? Thanks
Are you using a switch for demonstration. I have an old switch. Would you recommend this monitor for switch.
The quality won’t be as good as an OLED for the picture but it’ll be good for a larger image
That is a cool monitor
Great for traveling and small spaces 👍🏻
Ele suporta mesmo 120hz em jogos com suporte para 120fps???
Is this aspect ratio a problem for MacOS on m1? I would use this with a mac mini so im curious as OSX has been known to not play nice with certain aspect ratios despite this being perhaps a decent one as they used to use this resolution themselves for years for productivity reasons.
I don’t have a Mac so I wasn’t able to test it unfortunately
It runs fine when connected to my Mac.
It works great with my MacBook, although I think it needs some fine adjustments because the default configuration looks too white for me.
@@englucio I have a 2013 MacBook pro running big sur and I think it will melt my GPU and CPU cards at the same time. I need a cool monitor for work, I'm not so nerdy about it
Hi! Do you think this monitor is a great option for a steam deck in your opinion? Thanks!
I do 👍🏻
Think I’m gonna go with the 18 inch version of this I travel for work and would like to bring my PS5 with me. That 16 x 10 aspect ratio is going to give me black bars I think so I’d rather have the bigger screen.
I planned to buy this on xmas. But, can it rotate to portrait for code review and working on dense code?
Yes 👍🏻
When you connect it to the PS5, can you play a game on this monitor, while playing other game on TV, also connected to the same PS5?
No, consoles can’t to dual or duplicate monitors
Is there any solution for vertical usage on second screen scenario ? Any portable vesa stand or like this?
Yea I believe they sell some on their website
What is the input lag on this portable monitor?
just bought this
What do you think?
yeah its pretty good @@user-fk2rh9yr4w
@@user-fk2rh9yr4w yeah great for my steam deck.
What can you say about response time 25 ms ?
Does it support macOS devices like MacBook Air?
I just picked mine up on eBay for 109. They factory direct and cut out the middle man so you get it even cheaper.
Link?
Wow
Is there a link
i was able to get mine used for 58$ plus about 15$ in shipping. came pristine with no issues, but i am wondering if its possible to use ALM with it on ps5.
Bro you dont just mention stuff like this without providing the link 👁👁
Is text and reading not clearer on an IPS pannel than a OLED?
But then I wonder id text on OLED the same that of the text quality found on the AMOLED as found on cell phones.
Depends on the sub pixel layout and pixel density of the screen
any thoughts for a protable monitor for photo and video editing?
Look for the most color accurate ones with large color gamuts
I connected this monitor to my MacBook Air and set the sound to come from the monitor but when ever I play any type of media the audio is sped up drastically. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so have you found a fix, thank you in advance!
Do you get power delivery through this monitor? And it always needs a power source, right? It can't be powered from the source device at all?
It needs a power source unless the device specifically can give enough power out and has the ports to do so. For instance a monitor with two usb type c ports where one could deliver power and another could do video. Or a desktop that could power it. Most likely rare they have that setup for either of those though.
@@1UpNerdcore Sorry, I'm still a bit confused. There's two things I'd like to check here:
1. It uses Thunderbolt/USB4 Alt Mode for the display signal, but the single USB cable isn't enough to power the monitor. Does the additional power cable need to support PD? If so, what is the minimum power required?
2. If it needs to be plugged in for power, can it not power the source device via PD? If not, this is a big limitation, because the source device probably can't be charged whilst its USB C port is being used for the display signal.
Does the PS5 downscale it to 1440p? Also, I purchased the same model from the link you posted (separately) and the model is actually different than the Uplay C2, per customer support. Just a heads up to anyone that uses the link. I'm currently looking into buying the C2 from the uperfect website though.
I believe the discontinued this for the upgraded version which is basically the same. PS5 does 1440p but it’ll look likes it’s 4k because of the pixel density.
@@1UpNerdcorewhat about if is PS4? And what kind of games can it not handle
can you confirm a difference between this and the c2?
I can’t get 1440 120hz only 1080 120hz. Am I missing something?
Will this monitor cut out while playing Xbox? I seen a review where this would happen and plugging the monitor into a power source helped instead of using USB type-C to power the monitor
The usb type c to an adapter is the power source. As long as there’s adequate power it should be fine. Plugging the type c into something else that can power devices like a monitor with such capabilities should do just fine also as long as it’s adequate power.
@@1UpNerdcore ok gotcha thanks for the reply.
@@1UpNerdcore also will this monitor display input lag? Or any latency issues as compared to playing on a modern 4k TV?
Can you use a Powerbank to power the monitor instead of hooking it up to a power outlet?
You should be able to as long as it meets the power requirements
How do you factory reset the monitor can someone pls help me out
What is the response time of this monitor?
Im guessing the included stand doesnt allow for vertical standing?
You could but it would be wonky
Has anyone noticed a white ghosting/haze on the bottom of the screen where the magnetic case is snapped on the back? I know most newer panels aren't effected by magnets at all. I'm not sure about this display though?
the steam deck oled is 16: 10 so it would be perfect
How did you make the settings pop up? I only see options for HDMI and Type C when I press the button.
The menu button is a scroll wheel so you should be able to scroll down to other menu settings
You have to push the scroll wheel. It took me sometime to figure that too 😂
Can i use this with q playstation 4?
I bought this monitor and had a plan to connect a 15ft hdmi mini cable to it so I can game comfortably in bed and this plan is completely failing. I’m in the rabbit hole of learning about hdmi cables and hdmi mini cables and I’m not finding much info or anyone that seems to be having the nuanced issue of connecting a long hdmi mini cable to a portable monitor lol
will the stock charger work with 120hz ?
You mean the usb type c cable? Yes it will work
I'd like to use a portable monitor with Samsung decks which has an aspect ratio of 16 / 9. If using a monitor with an aspect ratio of 16 / 10, would the image look bad or skewed?
No, it’ll put black bars around it if forced into 16:9
@@1UpNerdcore So is 16:9 the way to go for dex? I mean for office work it's nice to have that extre height for spreadsheets etc. I'm surprised there is no option to run dex in 16:10?
The 16 inch you linked does not match the one you have . I ordered it and got a whole different monitor, just thought you should know. This one was thinner and the screen looked different
They updated their model number info and the specs match so I’m assuming it’s the same model with some subtle upgrades
Question , would an oled ,like the innocn 13.3 1080p , look and perform better than this? I don’t know if I should get the uperfect 18in 144hz or the oled , please help 🙏
Would 500 minutes of brightness be good enough to use in the car during the day?
Minutes? You mean nits? 500 is okay but not great for full sun. It should be okay in the car but if direct sunlight is on it you’d need 1000-2000 nits like phones have
is it worth it to get 2k on 16 inches? in compare to FHD
like is it really noticeable on small screens?
Well I would say it depends, FHD/1080p is going to look okay on most devices but when it comes to 2k 120hz on 16 inches it shows a step up in clarity because you are getting more pixels giving a more crispier image. So you would most likely see a difference if you compared the two even on a small screen.
@@kylethagamer5870 thank you, ig that’s mean I need to get my self a better graphic card more than a screen, my crap one can’t even deal with a 2k
It’s noticeable in person. Kyle summarized it really good 👍🏻
Plus the price difference is very small
The link in your description links to a 16:9 monitor
The listing on Amazon is wrong. This is common with tech listing specifications on Amazon. Check some of the reviews, people think it’s 16:9 and don’t like finding out it’s 16:10 when they get it.
@@1UpNerdcore I bought this a few days ago before coming across your review, and it's definitely a 16:9 monitor. I had it on a list for a few months specifically because it was one of the few 16:10 portables with a 120hz refresh rate, but I was finally able to unbox and set it up today. Maybe they were shipping 16:10s before, but they aren't now. I was able to find a 16:10 on their website, they're calling it the UPlays C2
Would this go well with the Lenovo Legion Go?
Yes 👍🏻
It was hard to decide what to get I wanted something 4K but didn’t wanna spend that much I figure 2k at that size has to be ok anyone using this with an rog alloy? If so how is it…
4k would be overkill at this size. It’ll work good with the ROG ally.
Does it hold the settings after disconnecting from power? Got a 2year old portable and every time I turn it on I have to up the brightness all the way again 😑😑
It kept my settings 👍🏻
Great review. It's too bad you can't use DeX. Samsung is killing it and this is a perfect use case for their desktop experience. You should switch to Samsung and Android. So much better. Thank you.
Hii , can this portable monitor connect to mobile phone ?
Like redmagic 8 pro ?
Yes 👍🏻
Does this come with a built in battery? Can I run the monitor without plugging into a power outlet
No it does not have a built in battery, depending on what you plug it into the USB C cord can power the monitor, or otherwise you'll need a USB C power bank to run it without plugging into an outlet.
You can use a power bank, but you should consider it drains about 77wh. Remember that when choosing your power bank
