Great video. A couple of years ago I built a 5.7 GHZ downconverter. The antenna is a surplus vertical colinear type. The whole assembly was mounted atop my amateur radio mast. The output feeds an old analogue satellite receiver. After weeks of nothing, I was astonished to see pictures of the Emley Moor mast! Even though I live on the 'wrong' side of the Pennines, the pictures were clear with only the odd dropout. The lat/long readout across the bottom of the frame confirmed it. I've seen other stuff since then, but no more Emley.
ha its a wounder u u didnt get diconected at top lol ,enough power coming out of that thing to wipe it out lol ,,,,wound never take my mavic air there lol
I was actually quite a way from this. Over 150m away and nowhere near the top. I think it was actually turned off whilst I was flying there. Certainly the NATS app suggested that interference is further away. Clear picture all the way. No interference.
@@rsturbolad26 No, it isn't. They have turned it off for maintenance. I am a member of the transmitter group and checked first. This was just before they built the new transmitter.
2:27 awesome views
Visited the moor today. Bloody hell that thing is ginormous.
Great video - I am looking forward to getting out with the drone more and making more videos in 2021!
Well done there is a new mast at the side of it now as a temporary while they do work on it

I dont think this would be a CAA approved flight.
Why would you think that?
Happy to argue my case.
Over 150m away from the structure.
This mast is a no drone zone..there are signs at ground level.
