You always make your projects look so easy. Looks good.
This looks great and you always make everything so easy.
That looks like awesome paint!
It is :) I've tried many many brands and finally settled on this one...its my favorite :)
Amy,
The bookcase turned out just beautiful!! Love the blueberry color and how you mixed the colors to form streaks. I can tell this piece makes you happy. Much happiness, Teresa
Thanks Teresa !! Yes, this shelf makes me happy ....I love the peppy color :) Thanks again for watching ....HUGS :)
It's petty Amy and you are talented!!!! Judy
Thanks Judy !! I can't wait to show you my new bathroom vanity we are putting in the new basement bathroom......I'm painting bronze on it (with metal in it) and then putting a patina spray on to make it turn green / blue patina aged look. Thanks for watching !! HUGS :)
Do you think that the Dixie Bell Boss in clear will work with other brand paints?
I used it under Wise Owl Synthesis Paint and it worked well, so yes it should work with other brands. I only paint with Dixie Belle paints and on some occasions I use Wise Owl (my 2nd favorite brand). I don't purchase alot of Wise Owl because of the containers the paint comes in are hard to keep the lids tight and clean (they have the metal tops like you get with regular store bought paints). Dixie Belle's paints have a screw on lid so its easier to open and close and keep them air tight.
great project for me to understanding some blending! What are those paint containers called that you use? Where can they be purchased? Thank you.
what and where did you get "cling on S-500 " paint brushes please. I can not find them anywhere
I bought my Cling On S50 brushes from Dixie Belle. It really comes down to luck....when you see a sight have them available , you have to bought them right away because they can sell out in a day. The 3 places I always check with are Dixie Belle Paint Company, and on Facebook I would check with "Thea at the Sweet Tea Life" or Whitney at "Windmill Vingtage Designs". They are the most amazing brushes (I only like the S50.... the smaller ones are just "ok" not as great as the S50s.....for some reason the S50's are shaped and sized just right for blending and the length of the handle is so convenient and they clean up great. I use mine on almost every project and they still work like new".
Very pretty Amy!! I love the beach vibe! I have an old dresser in my spare bedroom that has the old veneer (I think that's what it's called) over the drawers, it's really neat but is screaming for attention. I think I want to use multiple colors and techniques. Make it boho/chippy. If that's a thing! Are you going to be selling this line of chalk paint?
I'm thinking about being a retailer for them, but right now I'm a company ambassador. I wanted to try them out first to make sure I really like the product before selling it and I'm in love with their product, so I may start selling it in the future. I've tried several brands out, and so far this one is the best I've used. If you are painting your laminate dresser, just make sure to really clean it (even if it looks clean), and then scuff up the surface with 120 or 220 grit sand paper (no matter what brand paint you use, laminate is very slick and can sometimes have adhesion problems). Other than that, paint that dresser and send me pictures !! If you need color suggestions for a specific look, let me know and I'll help you out. Send me a pinterst pictures of what you want it to look like and I'll try and help you. Thanks for watching !! HUGS :)
fashiontoppings I thought I heard you say that you were a company ambassador for them. Thank you for the tips! I didn’t know that about the laminate! I’m on the fence with colors yet, but then again I want it to have that multicolor look. Have you been playing with crackle yet? I love that look. In spots, not entire piece. Thank you so much!
