- This dramatic bed frame needed a finish that suited its soft lines and bold curves, touches of texture an metallic were just the answer. Lets use layers of chalk paint to create a woven effect like a worn linen with just the right amount of metallic detail

This is brilliant Brandy! All the layers and textures give it such depth and rich beauty. I love scrollwork! I would even go as far as to say that I really like the French gawdy look. I have eclectic tastes, I love rococo and baroque pieces next to modern abstract art. I'm having a good time learning all I can from your videos. I have 10 pieces of furniture that could use some TLC, so I'm going through your videos for inspiration and knowledge. How exciting that you have created your own colors! When you have a vision of layering paints and adding metalics & waxes, do you first do test pieces? You always put together such lovely combinations for various effects!
I usually just work it until I like the look, you'll know when it looks right. I don't think I've ever done a sample board

if you never showed the secret about the bed, I would of never guessed..It's definitely amazing how our eyes can see things differently than how it is because I thought there was a long mattress lol 🤣...but anyways, I love how the bed turned out. So beautiful as always.

Brandy, can't wait to use your paint.....This bed frame is amazing! Your descriptions and explanations are soooooo helpful. You and your videos are a delight. While lack of space determines that I do very little furniture painting, often I find myself using techniques on my larger scale smallish pieces. If that makes sense.

Wow, that's gorgeous .... love how the detail popped with the dark wax... was surprised to see you apply clear coat over guilding wax... I thought that was a no no.... is there only certain waxes you can clear coat over? Xx

Hi Brandy, I absolutely love your work and learned so much from you so far! There is only one small thing I struggle with: I can't find a good brush to smear out the black wax on the edges. I know this sounds ridiculous, but really the brush for this special task has to have a special form and stability. It doesn't work well if it is too soft or too stiff, f.ex. like stippling brushes. however, I struggle to find a good one. Can you please give a brand name and further details to the one you are using please? I couldn't find it in you amazon shop and also not among the cling on brushes. I also searched almost all the links on your website, but no success.... Thank you! 🙏
I like soft fluffy natural bristles for that. I usually use the 2 brush set that I have in my Amazon shop. I have several as they do wear down from sp much use
