  • We took a 2 day cruise on the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise for a voyage out of West Palm Beach, Florida to Grand Bahama Island. This is day 2 & 3 (disembarking) of the journey. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise.

Do you plan on going on the Islander this summer/fall? I would think a 5-day trip would be better, just not the initial shake-down cruise, I have heard too many bad things about shake-down cruises. It looks like you had a really good time compared to others, especially for the price, from what I have seen from cruise videos a lot of your enjoyment has to do with your attitude and the company you travel with, thanks for the heads-up video, please keep them coming.

I would have to agree with you. We went into this cruise knowing that it was comparable to 2 nights in a hotel, but it had free food. Our expectations were low as we saw how inexpensive the price was. Also, we looked at the Islander cruises and they looked like a lot of fun. We are hoping to do one in the future. Thanks for the comment.

We booked for July on the Islander as soon as we got off the Paradise!! I'm looking forward to this company growing and becoming competitions to the others!

My 23 year old daughter and I are planning our first cruise on the Paradise in February 2025. Would you recommend this cruise as a first one? What are some musts to know?

Hi, I would recommend this cruise. A must is getting even the lowest level of the upgraded package. This allows you priority boarding, debarkation, show seating and wifi. I did not realize until the cruise how much this cruise line places priority on their VIPs as you are called. Thanks to our VIP status with the upgrade, we got front of the line privileges getting off and cut a 2 hour customs line. Additionally, our room was on deck 6 and in the middle. The room placement allowed for a smooth ride and a window. I’d recommend as close to the middle as possible. Finally, we had to remind ourselves that this cruise is the same price as a hotel cost for 2 nights. This kept us grounded when things didn’t run smoothly which happened a few times. I hope that you have a wonderful time.
