A goddamn brilliant idea. Adds another layer to sub management. Have to constantly have an eye on thalamus chamber to avoid containment breach. And in return you get a somewhat safe auto turrets that also have to be carefully managed. I love it when subs are balbanced and to get something cool you have to pay with some kind of vulnarability. Not just throw a bunch of OP guns with no blind spots and speed through Europa like it was nothing
Wow! I have a working concept for an automatic turret based on a bunch of narrow motion sensors that detect motion and wirelessly transmit an angle to the turret and after a short delay the turret fires. It sounds and looks terribly inconvenient, I already thought about writing my own mod for automatic turrets, but I didn't even realize that the thalamus could be connected to regular boat turrets!
It definitely works, but you have to remember it's a thalamus and is actively shooting anything it can. You'll normally have to empty the guns before you get in line of fire.
hm.... ya know what ill take the danger of my own ship shooting me because a thalmus brain is ACTIVLY TRYING TO KILL ANYTHING THAT MOVES.@@yggdrasilburnes
Damn, this is art with that Thalamus there, from what I see what they say the others also have FF, I would use it in my game if I had that missing door xd edit: ART
An attack transport? Oh yes. My only complaint is that the second-to-bottom hallway across the whole ship could be removed and the bottom row of hallway with the gun could be moved up to cut costs and make a smaller profile. Keep that Thalamus brain of course.
Alex Jones I think, don't remember which episode of his podcasts/infowars segments however. I reckon "alex jones scream" in the searchbar should get it for you.
You love to see ships using the camel bow. Camel's one of my favorites and i've been looking for a modded ship that feels like a nice t2 or t3 flavor camel for campaign
as another comment mentioned, the steam page for this sub says the thalamus is what controls the turrets while they're on automatic mode- which is why they will also target friendly characters that are in view. You have to maintain security over the thalamus or it will start producing toxic cells that will flood the ship and in return you get a really accurate automatic turret system. Alt, you can kill the thalamus, gain extra ballast space and just run the turrets manually.
Btw, for all who are curious, the workshop says the reason for the thalamus is that it runs the automated turrets!
That's a fucking neat lore idea
Also the reason behind auto turrets targeting friendlies

Intriguing design.
I recommend the Unoculus. Its another 'living' sub
It bears a resemblance to the Land Cruiser from Far: lone sails which looks good as well, I didn’t see anyone mentioning it so I did

Do dugong ultimate next
Hmmm, bit chunky innit?
Isn't as chunky as the Berilia, and that's a literal outpost with an engine.

Капитан, а мы можем взять другое судно? Пожалуйста 🙏
Just ignore the Gellar drive, that won't be useful for a while yet.
