Away missions are already a pain in the butt, that's the place to reduce barriers.). But generally flaws is what makes you remember a submarine, rather than the edgeless nothing a "perfect" submarine provides.

Well hello comrade! Nuke problem is the thing i tested and fixed only after this video. I didnt even expect that this was possible. I used it only against subs\debrees and cyberworm(there was no one to record damage after explosion). There are predictable damage to walls, yes, but for some reason all alive creatures dont care about it at all, even leucocite. I still dont understand how it works, but my solution was removing all walls(for some reason they consume all damage even if walls got only 1 hp) and make railgun shells hit small (this is important) invincible hatches. Now bombs look not that cool, but at least actually fragile to any creature.
I actually tried it in a multiplayer campaign with two friends, we played it for one single trip and both my friends decided they would rather shove spikes under their fingernails than play another second in it. One thing to note that Desu doesn't cover in this video is that about 1/3rd of the top of the submarine has walls made of glass. Keeping it afloat is a job for a crew of 20+, not 3.
@@KCzz15it doesnt worth mentioning, cause glass walls buffed to 150hp, not 50 as usual (while vanilla stock walls got 200). And about amount of players. Since i am wasted hours with this ship, mine experiene way too bigger than normal sane person, but i finished 2 hard campaigns with bots only. 2 bots on stock gun, 1 for laser and one for flak. Captain(you) for rail. Upgraded your walls hp, buy some explosives ammo and it will be 10 times easier. And yeah, 1 bot for repairs is musthave
Honestly, I could see this being a rather fun sub if it got some decartoonifying and overall improvements. The idea of a lashed together hulk of a sub that requires diving suits to get across some areas is an idea that draws me in.

@@coel3572тогда уж не дрон, а лифты в различные отсеки . Обычные же лифты уже мутят прям на подлодках, так что не вижу проблемы сделать на основе этой механики грузовой лифт для отсеков. Единственное мб ящики могут вылетать за текстуры на большой скорости...
Actually a really cool submarine! The wonky design and salvagey nature gives it a lot of character and some of the mechanics like the honkmines and exterior railgun reloading are awesome! Really neat sub.
Ohh I saw this thing many many months ago, always was intriguing to me to me, definitely a multiplayer sub, shame new traitor mode requires alot of specific doodads to be present in the sub for it to work
They need to add proper background walls to the area outside to make it count as being ""inside"" As you're travelling across it. But then It's been too long since I touched the sub editor and that might just make it sink faster. - EDIT : Actually looking at the original it was a solid floor too, so you couldn't be whipped into the sea through that hole. Stuff like the bongs and batteries being weird just takes away from the charm of the ship. (And part of the reason it's so laggy!) Reloading from the outside is a funny gimmick but it should've been done to any other gun than the railgun I feel. It's your main weapon in general and I assume it's going to get super obnoxious after a couple hours of play. All subs should be somewhat friendly to having a crew under 6 people, as fellas playing in really big groups is particularly rare, and it feels like this sub will require it with all the issues stacked on top of one another. Unless you can replace it at the store, of course.
In my case, if i turn debugai mode in sub editor while testing i have 14-16fps stable. And if you cut 3000 current structures to 1500 it will result in 0 frames per second increase, so no, bongs and batteries dont make it laggy at all). If you remove all shadow lamps it will also increase only 1-2 frames, if you remove all shuttles it doesnt affect at all too. Barotrauma hate big hull size. If you just remove all hulls and gaps, you will have your dugong level fps, that is 60fps locked, in my case. Railgun is your least using gun, cause it is way too weak for it is price per damadge. For this case, there are remora laser one meter away from you, that can shoot pretty much same enemies that rail can. It is just require to captain to move your sub up(+ you can use stun-shock button, to make crawlers and raptors get off railgun cage and see them with laser) There are even subs for 20 people, why this particular one wont work with 6? If we are banning bots, there are has to be at least 1 player to control each sub. If we are using bots, as you can see in example of Desu, you can win it solo and so did i through modded hard campaign 2 times.

Никогда не понимал такие подлодки, типо да, они выглядят прикольно, в них вложено много сил и времни, но на них банально не удобно играть, а это по мне самый важный фактор при выборе подлодки для прохождения компании. А конкретно эта подлодка, даже лучше бы смотрелась в качестве обломков.
Ну когда ты кампанию будешь закрывать левой пяткой, тебе захочется чего-то большего, это и есть "большее". Ну насчёт "неудобно" я бы поспорил, эта лодка раз в пять удобнее условного тифона, сделана тонна QoL вещей, например все ящики у фабрикаторов связаны, даже те, что в другой подлодке, а это уже колоссальная экономия времени, особенно если именно ты отвечаешь за крафт, а не кто-то другой, есть возможность "телепортировать" боеприпасы считай от фабрикатора сразу на полку, зарядники батарей на выходах, переносные ящики для лута, целый отдельный ящик для рассад, боты например, будут тащить всё с пола туда(Теги даже на ванильных лодках говно контринтуитивное), осмысленно сделанная проводка. Ты не чинишь щиток "свет 1" и он внезапно включает тебе половину корабля. Aвтодвери, без искусственного ограничения сектора обстрела итд итп. Заряжать рельсу и лазер снаружи неудобно? Да, но это минута раз в два-три часа геймплея, если не реже. Я уже сделал такую лодку про которую ты говоришь, конструировать её было прикольно, но играть на ней уже далеко не так интересно, всё слишком удобно, пушки всё простреливают, все перископы рядом, ты по сути один можешь всех победить, все отсеки изолированы, корабль не тонет от любой тычки, "сливные клапаны" не затапливают корабль снизу вверх итд итп. Сделать я её сделал, но кампанию я пошел проходить(дважды) уже именно на Патчворке.
