I wear almost exclusively red and black. I have a red thing, where if I'm wearing an all-black outfit I feel to need to wear a red accessory because I don't feel like myself without a splash of red. But most of my outfits are black, just with the occasional red sprinkled in. Which always looks kinda sexy even when it's just a knee-length skirt and t-shirt. So that's a plus!

you have to be mentally strong to wear black all day, every day. many times dark colors can bring down your mood, especially if you're depressed, which is why it's recommended to surround yourself with bright and 'happy' colors. i told my life coach that i preferred to be a black hole sucking the life out of everything and she was not amused.

As for being mentally strong, I have depression and anxiety that I am currently taking medication for but I still really like black. There's just something so comforting about it.
Mentally strong? I hated wasting time deciding what to wear differently everyday in the past. And it’s so practical in other ways like making you look slimmer, hides you like a ninja, makes stains less noticeable, gives others the confused pikachu face, etc.

Colour is how we perceive visible light; other animals "see" with UV radiation but we don't call those true colours as such. Also the prism comment is redundant.

I've been wearing all black since I was 12. The most recent thing that happened was when a guy at the church thought I was a nun and nodded at me with respect. I didn't correct him :)

That is what happens to me. But something funny is that, I have this black sweatshirt I wear everyday to school and one day I took it off and my friends joked: "You have arms! I never knew!" lol Well thats my fault for wearing black. Everyday...

-pet hair and lint become a magnet
-people assume you're goth even when you're not
-gotta be conscious about different shades of black

- makes you look slimmer
-people assume you're goth when you actually are
-it makes you look classier
