    So this video was actually recorded back in Late July/Early August if memory serves. It's funny to see my prediction about the skill speed update. Regardless I wanted to give plugsuit a fair look for newer players that maybe didn't understand why people say the things they do about what's probably the game's best and most versatile mystic code. How do you feel about plugsuit?

      Until something strictly better than Order Change comes out or Mystic Codes come out with faster/multiple ways of weaker line up change, Plugsuit and Decisive Battle will be da bes. Order Change is better than most other entire Mystic Codes by themselves and only gets better as a Master's support/servant pool gets larger and higher skilled. It also benefits from a large amount of craft essences. That or we get Mystic Code interludes and strengthening quests.

      The plugsuit gulag is a wonderful place. I dislike plugsuit because, I've been playing a long time, I have a lot of units, a lot of options (CEs and mystic codes, oh my!). It's a lot to juggle and try to get the most out of my AP. I am at a point where I would rather use kscope or CE plus mana loading append rather than a bunch of charge skills. So when a comp requires order change, I really am forced to use plugsuit rather than things I like. Not everyone is in my situation though, so I never really talk about it.
      As you astutely pointed out, the game kind of suffers from its veteran population and how it affects newbies. To the newbies I just want to say: Fate GO is a video game. Have fun! Do what you can /need to do! Heck, for me it was some of the funnest time in the game, just trying to get whatever to work in order to finish an event. Or me just forcing my favorite characters to work in a situation. There are still times where I will take a comp I find out about on the internet and try a different character. Don't rush to be a veteran. You will get there one day, if the servers last long enough, and can complain (responsibly) like the rest of us. Hang on to the sense of fun, and joy FGO brings you as long as you can.

      Thanks for the video. I like plugsuit a lot and used it all the time to get through the story arcs. Mash was my typical call-in servant when I needed extra defense and that worked great for many of the battles. In other words, I could use two damage dealers and one buffer/defensive servant in my starting lineup so I could get more damage in the early battle before switching to a more defensive and sustainable lineup. I think plugsuit is great for new players because plugsuit works great with Mash. Now that plugsuit is at level 10 and I want to level up other mystic codes, I only pull it out for the very tough battles. But that doesn't mean it isn't a great mystic code to use.

      Plugsuit is really hit or miss as a mystic code with absurdly great short-term value but the worst long-term value due to order-change and the lack of hard survival built-in. It's tailored towards hard, damage race fights like, say, Ignore Invuln AOE NP's that are hard to survive through (aside from cheating with Castoria) where stun is a godsend over useless heal, evade, and invuln effects from other MC's. It's a burst damage MC.
      Problem is, newbies with terrible rosters won't get much burst potential without good supports. You could argue that players will eventually get OP supports in time, but I feel that Plugsuit is so all-or-nothing that it's only worth bringing during hard content when a player has multiple burst options enough to make the lack of survivability worth it. That's rather expensive, and it's a lot more affordable and straightforward to win fights by having good carry servants protected and supported long enough for the team's skills to return off of cooldowns.
      There's a time and place for everything. Plugsuit is the mystic code with the highest ceiling and a lower floor, so I feel reserved calling it the best when everyone's ability to use it is highly varied.

      Funny thing about Gandr is that it was apparently broken in NA for _years._ It only had a 100% success rate, rather than the completely undodgeable 500% it does now. A lot of people, like me, never even noticed because we thought that was just how it was supposed to be. Definitely would've saved some headaches. • @PurpleLugia

    There's only ever been one reason I've avoided using my combat uniform: distribution of exp. Like probably many earlier players I got it maxed a matter of years ago, and have had other Mystic Codes to level. I've always seen leveling the MC's as one of the things to do in the game, and continuing to use a maxed MC when there's others to work on seems inefficient with time and exp. That plays into how I've been building my collection of Servants and CEs to become loop-farming comps that don't rely on a MC, so I can put any MC on just to level it.
    That said, I did get my complete collection of MC's finished this summer, so I'm ready to focus on Decisive Battle when it comes to NA (between getting the two future novelty MCs done). In the meantime, since I can't do anything about wasted MC exp, I'm free to use whatever MC I want, including plugsuit for lottery comps again!

    I use the plug suit all the time, couldn't play without it.
    My basic team is 3 AoE NPs with type advantage and Waver/Merlin. I put MLB Imaginery Elemnt on all the AoE's, then I just cap them off with Waver/Merlin (+apend skill or a battery if they have one) and do 3 waves in 3 turn NP on every turn and switch out one of the AoE NPs with the 3rd one waiting in the second row using the plug suit. 9/10 time I never have to think how to manage a nod just need to check enemy tendencies.

    Plugsuit was my 2nd Mystic Code to reach Lv10 (1st was the original MC) and it was just from using it so often.
    I’ve since been trying to get most of the others that I have to Lv10, but Plugsuit still sees use quite often. When the new one comes out (with Tunguska iirc), it’ll easily become my main MC until it gets to Lv10 (and will still see use even after that).

  • @solitare4602

    Plugsuit is by far the best MC in the game. Atlas is the only one close to it. Although, the OG MC is surprisingly close due to it having much lower cooldowns than all the other MCs and a balanced kit.
    I usually use Plugsuit for more difficult Chen Gong setups. Otherwise, I want my backline to be entirely noncombat for bond or event bonus reasons. I'll use it if I have to, but Plugsuit requires that I have someone in the backline that I want in battle. That's usually my issue with Plugsuit. I may not want to have someone in the backline for it to Order Change in. It's not the MC's fault.

    When I was a new player, I took this being the strongest Mystic Code too much. I always ran it, even when I did not have the support units to maximize it. So I got it to level 10 before really being able to utilize it for efficient farming. Now, I usually try to level up my Arctic Uniform since it takes so much EXP, but I will use Plugsuit for farming if need be. I can't wait for the new Plugsuit to come out so I can use it without being irritated that I'm "wasting" code exp.

    Thank you for the video! I was a little surprised this video needed to be said, but I can understand where the confusion might come into play, especially since we didn't have the speed updates until recently. I would say I also prefer not using plugsuit, but if I have to I will.
    For me, the issue is with "comfort", which might be odd to say. I'm planning on going for 1000 lotto boxes for Christmas, and got 700 done for Scatchach Fest, so having a party I'm comfortable and happy to farm with is really really important. The reason being I don't want to burn myself out, because I have burnt myself out on farming, and not wanting to farm more, because I was using teams I didn't like using for one reason or another, and unfortunately plugsuit just makes comps a little more annoying. It isn't the worst, but it'll definitely make me want to switch the comps up more often.
    That could just be me though, as I definitely like to enjoy the process of farming mad lotto boxes, but I'd say anything outside of crazy lotto box farming, don't see a reason not to use it.

    Yeah pretty much anyone that's done Quick/Buster looping is probably very well acquainted with Plugsuit. I can't say I've ever heard anyone say it's bad, but I have heard it called slow before (not recently though).
    The only reason I don't use it is when I'm leveling other MCs, Arts looping or when my whole back line is bond farming. I've even maxed the new one in JP already.

    Order Change is such a game-changer to be honest. It opens up all sorts of strategies, ranging from buff-stacking, to buff-stacking. Jokes aside, the utility that it can give is really insane. You can swap a support that already uses all of their skills for a new one, or maybe for a unit with invincibility. Other than that, you can swap your main DPS to let them take care of the boss after you soften it up.
    All that, and it's only the 3rd skill.

    As a new player plugsuit was mandatory to reach damage caps just to clear farm nodes.
    Now as a very built account that can loop any given 90+ node the advent of 90++ nodes has made the plugsuit come full circle to reach damage caps again.
    The plugsuit is immortal because the plugsuit is way more than 3 extra skills, and at the end of the day as long as the content gets harder and harder (it has been) you'll always find that tipping point where you need that extra chunk of damage/charge that only plugsuiting into a fresh support can provide.

  • @FlipGamerOnABudget
    @FlipGamerOnABudget ปีที่แล้ว +1

    imho OG plugsuit is possibly the best MC for beginner accounts and F2Ps who have a limited selection of supports and CEs. as your account matures and you get units like castoria though, you'll find less use for plugsuit outside of the 90++ nodes that require Oberon and/or other supports to slot in on the 2nd or 3rd wave (provided you have the damage dealers of course).

  • @perseus9535

    I agree with the final point. As NA currently stands, I see Plugsuit and Kscope as stepping stones that are most useful for growing accounts because of how much easier they make things. Eventually Koyan will come and make Kscope more relevant for “endgame” (read:farming) but that’s neither here nor there. I won’t say that Plugsuit is bad, it’s just something that I’ve outgrown. I simply don’t need it when I have an np4, lvl 100 Jarcher and two Castorias to take care of any saber waves, when I have an np3 Musashi zerker that can help out more generally. My point is that as an account grows it becomes harder and harder to justify using Plugsuit as content becomes less challenging- in this sense, it’s like a crutch or a “break in case of emergency” box. I’m sure I’d find more use for it if I wanted to min-turn CQs, but I don’t really care for that.
    Regarding button presses, well, you’re trying to say that the button presses don’t matter (especially when buster meta arrives). But using Plugsuit is a minimum extra 4 buttons that you have to press if you want to use it. So either 3 skill-linked button presses pre-Buster (+4 if you choose to use Plugsuit) or 6 skill-linked button presses post-Buster (+4 if you choose to use Plugsuit). Additionally, by doubling up on buffs i.e., using your skills twice, in the buster meta you have less of a chance of needing to rely on Plugsuit for that extra damage in the first place.
    Finally, there’s also the argument of exp distribution and I think you did a good job covering that, Khad. Only thing I’d like to really mention is that again this problem alleviates as your account gets older and (assuming you farm enough) you end up leveling all your MCs since they don’t really release them fast enough.

    it's pretty good, I just dislike having to build my entire party around it, to make it worthwhile... It's so game-warping that it encourages an entirely different teambuilding strategy, which is something I just don't fancy doing myself.
    So used to 3-man squads doing all the work, I couldn't imagine backlining anything other than the borrow + 2x whatever's-closest-to-bond-up o.o

  • @Harbinger359

    ...plugsuit is bad? Who's saying that? Sure, swapping can be annoying considering how it breaks tempo (or at least used to, I don't know if the animation update fixes that or at least improves it), but if anything it's too good. I personally prefer to find ways wherein I can avoid using it, but that swapping ability is by itself simply too powerful. The only time it isn't useful is at the tail end of a long or particularly brutal CQ that has successfully burned you down to your backline only.
    I don't personally like plugsuit's design and I am personally averse to instances of "this is hands down the best with no other contenders even in the room", and whilst plugsuit is thankfully no longer the only sensible option given how the meta's evolved over the years, it still has as much value as it ever did, enabling farming and CQ strategies that simply aren't possible without it. Honestly, my only gripe with it from a gameplay perspective is the partywide attack buff; it's the weakest part of the kit in my opinion, and you rarely need that kind of charisma in the types of comps you bring plugsuit for, but that's not why you're taking it.
    About the only other thing they could introduce that could arguably contend with the swapping is something that sacced a unit, since that would have similar uses but open up other strategies which prefer units to die.

      You'd be surprised at some of the comments I've read. This is why I felt the need to make the video. Someone had to make people aware that the mystic code is in fact great. Most people are just done leveling it. They then start talking to other people about why they hate using it (button presses/time/etc) and other people not understanding what they mean pick up on that and assume its actually bad out of pure ignorance. But yeah it's not meant to crown plugsuit as the best and all other MC's as useless. More to provoke people into realizing they've been bashing one of the most useful weapons in their arsenal and giving others the wrong idea.

    I still really like it for testing purposes. I get a new servant max, ascend and skill, take them to a node I use for testing, whether for farming or ST damage and buff stack just to see general damage output under best case scenario. But by this time next year I think it will be permanently retired for me as there's a MC that's basically a better version of this coming and Miss Crane will be on my roster.

    I just feel it would be a waste to use it when I don’t have the optimal servants to fully make use of it currently. Also I don’t want to have it leveled up all the way and continue to use it because it almost like no progress gets made with the exp.

    I used to be so annoyed at being "forced" to use Plugsuit if I wanted to 3-turn something; not because I disliked it, but because I felt I was essentially wasting MC exp I could be using for my other uniforms. Now that my farming needs are mostly met and all but one are maxed out, the freedom can be surreal.

    I feel that the "Plug Suit Is Bad" arguement is just blowing hot air because it is "too good". Like hating the meta in a PvP game, everyone uses it. Understandable, but unture here. Saying Plug Suit is bad is like saying the Super Mushroom from Mario and the Spped-Up Shoes from Sonic are bad just because neither are the invincibility power-up. Plug Suit's strength is its versatility. It isn't bad at all. The closest thing to it "being bad" is just for situations were you want one type or Card/Servant to be absolutely cracked; like using Anniversary Blonde over Plug Suit. Anniversary Blonde is better in that regard, but Plug Suit still isn't bad. Odd arguement...Anyroad, I personally have always wanted the ability to customize our own Mystic Codes. Give us three or five blank slots to play with. Mine would have the appearance of the Arctic Mystic Code (as visually, that one is my favorite), with some kinda general attack and NP buff (Quick Cards preferably as that is my favorite type and Okita is my favorite female Quick Servant/Buster for Caenis for similar reasons), invincibilty (obviously), and HP regen for whole party (keeping my front row in the fight for as long as possible is important to me). Nothing tryhard or OP, just a good, general Mystic Code for roaming around until I need to make or slap on a more appropriate one. And lastly, no, I am not a Plug Suit Apologist. Not even my favorite Mystic Code. Just looking at it objectively. Even back when I was a wee little sprout, I realised by myself how powerful Order Change is.

    Long time players and whales may have legitimate reasons to not want to plugsuit such as wanting to run only low cost lotto CE carriers in the backrow in 6 CE farming compositions. However, some of them also suffer from what I'd call whale brainrot. Giving advice on plugsuit that's applicable to a very small percentage players rather than realizing most players are completely fine with swapping if it means they can consistently 3 turn farm if they otherwise couldn't. Plugsuit IS the faster option for most players.

    Plugsuit is great but the goal should be to create a 3t Farming comp without plug and at best with MC 2004 because in Lotto plug time accumilates and there is the danger of misclicking and wasting a lot of time

  • @seibahtabe9726
    @seibahtabe9726 ปีที่แล้ว

    IMO Plug2s charisma is much better for many reasons and the Gandr replacement is functionally worse for that reason. As to why it's better first of all while it's technically worse by 10% over the original in face card scenarios 10% is not a significant increase so long as you are getting the multiplicative value of charisma anyways, second NP buffing gives multiplicatives value which varies in difficulty to get but without black grail it's not uncommon to be lacking, and third it synergizes with Oberon making it ridiculous.
    Obviously order change is insane, I wish Cranes NP actually worked after enemies died so that it would just be outright apparent that it's basically the best skill in the game because then you'd have people saying "oh she is basically a free slot" etc.

    I gotta agree with the sentiment that its the best, or at least top 2. I have had it lvl 10 for a while and when I do cq's or farm I try to use different mystic codes to level up, but plugsuit always finds a way in lol. It just opens up so many strats

    • @truekurayami

      I personally say top 3 instead of top 2, because in moments you don't need Order Change it can fall slightly behind Mage's Association, and Atlas Institute uniforms when you can't use certain servants either because they aren't available or need to much protection that should be focused elsewhere.

    New players see those as bad mystic codes because they lack meta supportst to occupy the submember position. In my case I had no use to this one at the beginning because I didn't knew cheap suports like Anderson were viable, and hight rarity servants ate too much matherials to look up for cheap units.

    I'd say plugsuit is too good. I always see the need to use it despite it already being level 10. So I actively have to go out of my way to build comps that don't need it so I can level the other MCs. Luckily new pluguit is coming, eventually, so I'll keep the functionality and still go towards leveling a MC.

    Been using Plugsuit cuz needed the extra damage to clear some waves on my low NP1 SSR damage cuz mainly i didnt have a Superscope or a better NP copies of the servants back in the early days , it made it to MAX level 10 easily doing it daily or on the lotto events . It did see alot of people being critisize with the " Too many button presses " complain but I would say F*ck those guy who are already better units and Multiple copy MLB CE's from the gacha.
    The only issue I've had once you've used Plugsuit for a longtime and already Max Level it , its kind of hard leveling other Mystic Code to level since already been used to switch units with plugsuit

  • @truekurayami
    @truekurayami ปีที่แล้ว

    Out of the original 4 mystic codes we got Plugsuit is actually pretty low on my list. Mage's Association Uniform and Atlas Institue Uniform being my perferd two most of the time. Shimosa was really the only time I felt an out right need to be regularly running Plugsuit because of Musashi being forced into the frontline when she wasn't very helpful or an out right hinderence to the party set up. With Tristan, David, and Jeane as options for my party I was mostly covered when it came to defense so Gander wasn't need as much so I only throw on Plugsuit to level it during easy farming, or when I know I will need to use Order Change. I might start using Plugsuit more if we get another source of Command shuffle besides Artoria Ruler

    "plugsuit is bad"? It's bad if you're an inpatient dumpster juice who doesn't plan their fights tbh.
    the gandr is basically my Origin bullet to victory, also the button stuff is...kinda dumb since majority of time it breezes through me everytime I tap things since I play this game while strategizing in my head back to back at high speed so I never really process time and before I knew it the node is clear

  • @thewhyzer
    @thewhyzer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't think there's a "The Best" in Mystic Codes, many have their own purpose. Plugsuit can let you 3Turn nodes that would otherwise not be 3Turnable, and min-turn CQs and stuff, but when farming you would usually want to avoid it for 2 reasons - having to use more specific Servants to actually fight (so less choice in who to level in the back), and it slows down the farming a bunch, requiring more taps/clicks. I hate manually swapping.
    As for the harder content which might have me fighting long battles, I prefer Atlas Uniform.
