Why is it that when I hear this song I think of 1976? Is it me or was the sun shining brighter in the 70s and 80s than it is now? The sky was more blue, the trees more green, the Ocean more fun, and friends and family were more happy and fun.

Now with the transfer of information and the speed in which it travels has complicated so many things....whats the truth, whats fiction?? MSM will have you believe what they spew is the truth.....damn I miss the simpler times. And yes this was a DAMN good cover!

The guy with the Les Paul played Gary's parts. Strat was Steve. The red 355 was playing Allen's parts. And yes they were played beautifully and on the money.
being in the music business out of Nashville my hometown I have seen and heard hundreds of times that song and others by LS played by every-kind of band you can think of but this one tops them all, ARTEMUS PLIYE BAND is good but since the great ED KING passed away I haven't heard them, My hats off to this band and I think RVZ would approve,
@@glennkemp3680 that's not exactly true. in the second solo, the LP plays Allen's and Gary's solo. in the third solo, the Strat comes in on Allen's part and remains there the rest of the song, and the LP actually plays what was Steve's part behind him. I guess it's splitting a lot of hairs, but anyway. Regardless of how it was accomplished, this was a great performance.

And when those three female backup voices kicked in, I knew this was a keeper. For the past year or two I've seldom missed an LLB offering so I'm familiar with the sound you guys can make. Agreed, they do a wonderful job on a very complicated song. But may I make a suggestion... try doing the opening riff on a Les Paul with Humbuckers like the original Gary Rossington uses. You'll get that familiar double coil bite and if your amp is set correctly, you'll get that sustain at the end of the solo without having to pick and bend the notes. I don't mean to be splitting hairs, but that would be closer to 'precisely like the original'.

Great great cover. The extended sustain that holds over the measure (ex, 2:15) is so even and clean. I don't recall it as elongated on the record, but man is it tasty here.

What I like about watching this band: It's like being at a live concert, their live renditions are as close as you can get to the studio recorded versions, the musicians aren't drunk or stoned out of their minds and appear to really enjoy making music together, and they're just fun to watch!
Well, I totally agree with Imaliveone....I've been playing for 55 years, and these guys nailed everything to a gnat's ass....I mean, between the dynamics, the note & tone perfect guitar solos, great female back-up vocals, and the ability to (seemingly effortlessly) pull these things off totally polished, if blindfolded one might think that it was the original Skynyrd Crew. Maybe I have been out of the loop too long, but I have never heard of this band before. Looking forward to hearing more, and hopefully some original stuff. Cuz it is obvious that they have no problem covering. Only mistake I heard was in the first verse - "Cars" should be singular, not plural. And if you know the story behind the tune itself, I'm sure you will agree. GREAT JOB !! (I wanna hear you LIVE, if that ever becomes possible)
That’s damm near perfect 👌 I love it the guitarist makes that song seem so easy hell I just listened to this again instead of damm near perfect this was absolutely flawless the band the vocals flawless nailed it.
My gosh, how great was Southern Rock in the '70s!! Now you've got me craving for your tribute to Wet Willie or The Marshall Tucker Band. Saw them both live back in the day and just never got over it.

Well, I totally agree with Imaliveone....I've been playing for 55 years, and these guys nailed everything to a gnat's ass....I mean, between the dynamics, the note & tone perfect guitar solos, great female back-up vocals, and the ability to (seemingly effortlessly) pull these things off totally polished, if blindfolded one might think that it was the original Skynyrd Crew.
Maybe I have been out of the loop too long, but I have never heard of this band before. Looking forward to hearing more, and hopefully some original stuff. Cuz it is obvious that they have no problem covering.
Only mistake I heard was in the first verse - "Cars" should be singular, not plural. And if you know the story behind the tune itself, I'm sure you will agree.

My gosh, how great was Southern Rock in the '70s!! Now you've got me craving for your tribute to Wet Willie or The Marshall Tucker Band. Saw them both live back in the day and just never got over it.
