    I’ve heard a lot of suggestions for my triple but I’ve really just wanted to get the arrow. I test rode an R with it and fell in love, my ‘18 triple S is stock though. I’m hoping one comes up for sale either now or in the spring. It sounds great.

    TH-cam has changed its notification settings yet again, so I'm a couple of weeks late to the party. :( The setup sounds good! And we even got a split-second 86 cameo while you were shaking that exhaust around. Hope you're enjoying life and doing all the things!

      I swear TH-cam can't decide what they want with notifications. The 86 will be in some more content soon, planning a track day excursion next month. Less time to film with the new job but still playing lots when I can. Cheers!

    Great bike m8.
    I got great deal for black one with Arrow for 9900 euro.
    With SC slip on price was 10 800 euro. I dont want to disturb people on the streets and in my neighbourhood :).
    I am waiting for mine to arrive sometime next week.( today is 27-06-20 )
    2019 model with 3000km on odometer.
    Stay safe guys !

  • @pax1980

    Adding this in for anyone that stops by. The arrow is one of, if not the only, aftermarket exhaust that does not neuter the low end on these bikes. Straight pipes from SC, Yosh, Leo, Akra all loose power in the mid, and some in the top end as well. A tune might bring it back in line, but at that point you are looking at dyno time and cost starts to get out of hand.

      Another good thing about the arrow end can is that in most cases it doesn’t affect your warranty as it’s an official Triumph accessory (technically)

  • @AdamSVT
    @AdamSVT 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You are right... you NEED to start it without the can... it’s like a law or something I believe. I think the Arrow sounds great.. I have one on my 13 ST3 and love it.. not crazy loud but loud enough and a great tone to it.. plus it’s as ‘factory’ as much as an aftermarket exhaust can be.

    I have the same bike and can, no baffle.. I agree with what you say. Personally I don’t like the induction whistle and therefore might prefer the SC Projects note to this, but I’m guessing that one is more obnoxious too.. The arrow is not quiet by any stretch though, it will turn heads by people standing way ahead in front of you, so they know it’s coming..

      So far so good, I've had one small oil leak from the stator cover where the wire goes in (easily fixed with some black RTV) and that is basically it. I have just under 7000 miles on the bike now and I have been commuting on it the last 10 months every day.

    Hey ! glad you got exhaust. I got it with mine when i bought bike back in June. Its definitely on the quiet side and I;ve grown to appreciate that its more mature sounding so to speak.( I'm 49!) So I am about to put may first set of tires as the stock Supercorsas are toast ( 4k). I went with Diablo Rosso 2 for better all around versatility and logevity which they are known for compared to the updates Diablo Rosso 3 that don't last as long from the reviews I've seen. So I hope to get 5-6k out of them. I ride primarily backroads( 75 % and then local rides and highway the rest.) What are you running? btw, I followed your advice and lowered the front end 5mm and it really has transformed the front end feel, I also set rear preload to 8 Threads showing( 10mm apx). Love the bike!! This bike is a long-term keeper for sure. Once paid off though I want to add an Aprilia tunou factory :)

    • @TheDriversPerspective
      @TheDriversPerspective  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am running a Dunlop Q3+ tire right now. The Rosso 2 is a great tire, ridden those on track. Thinking about getting a set after I'm done with my Q3+.
      Great to hear the suspension tweaks helped, I have about the same pre-load in the rear shock.
      Regarding the Tuono, I too see one in my future garage but I don't think I could give up the Street Triple. It just does everything so darn well.

    I have the same bike, same exhaust, any tips on breaking that tac weld? I have not been able to get mine out and did not want to risk damage. With the baffle in it sounds almost exactly like the stock exhaust. I have been looking at the SC Project as well but that may be too loud for me.

    • @TheDriversPerspective
      @TheDriversPerspective  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had to use a really good torx bit, put some weight into it so it wouldn't slip and just cranked on it. It broke free without too much trouble.
      To be honest I haven't tried it with the baffle and perhaps I should just to know. One thing I will say the video doesn't capture the bass of the exhaust as well as it could. It's got some nice volume and tone in the lower RPM. I wouldn't want anything louder on a street bike personally.

    Hey man, really enjoyed the video. I have the exact same bike and the exact same arrow unit, and I'm having a huge amount of trouble removing the baffle. I got the bolt out, and it was tack welded in but took very little effort to break loose. The one part you didn't seem to film here was actually pulling the baffle tube out. I've seen lots of forums suggest that it's in there pretty tight and you have to yank it quite a bit. I've done a bit of that, but I just want to make sure there aren't any other mechanical pieces holding the baffle in before I really start reefing on it. Any suggestions?

    Hi mate
    I agree that stock sound it almost perfect.
    I just bought an arrow exhaust. I got a deal of a life time for an arrow(210USD) I'm from Brazil and due to high taxes the price is 1500USD. I was at the oficial dealer and they werent able to sell it since they lauched the 2021 model. I asked to hold it for one day and got straight home for research. Your video helped me a lot, thanks !
    The sound is great, slightly more bass driven and sliglty louder than stock and the sound at mild throttle acceleration from 3K to 4k RPM is just AMAZING.
    I like it but it could be slighly louder and slightly more bass driven, just a little bit.
    Unfortunately I bought the UK version I guess, it says E9 - 9600562
    I did not took out the sound damper. is it possible in the UK version? will it make it louder ?
    Is there any other way to make is slightly louder? (i'm not looking for any super high volume like SC, akrapovic and so on)

    For some reason, mine sounds really forced compared to mine... So if I m like in 3rd gear going about 40-45 MPH it sounds like it is begging to be shifted up... It doesn't sound as smooth as yours for some reason.... Idk if it is just the video, but did you leave the stock tunning or did you download another tunning? I know the Guys at Triumph said they downloaded another tunning.... But for some reason, I don't like how it feels and sounds... sounds like it wants to let more out... like if it is suffocated a bit.
