    She is right….some of the best shifts I had were when we had male charge nurses and male teammates especially during codes and rapids…..they brought calmness and expertise…..very proud of male nurses for their contribution to the field.

      I think you missed the point. That’s not true, and what you said, comes off as misogynistic. It’s just having men there, balances it out, we’re all working adults. Men often say the same things when they’re in spaces where there’s only dudes. Having both sexes there, just helps the vibe and energy. We’re meant to be together, platonically, not just romantically & sexually.

  • @malcognito7210

    I don't buy this woman's performance for a second. I was a bedside nurse for three decades - 1984-2014 (ICU), and if I could start over I would have never chosen the career. It wasn't the pt care; I loved taking care of my pts, and most of them appreciated me. It was the female nursing staff, the f---king piranha tank. Three 12 hour shifts a week, 50 weeks a year, for 30 years. And every one of them I had to deal with at least one female RN that, for one of a myriad reasons felt free to antagonize me, bait me into anger, try to get me fired, report me to an anonymous compliance hotline, make false accusations - all with impunity. I finally quit at 59 years old when my wife said I didn't have to deal with the abuse anymore. The last 5 years of my career at a Kaiser in Portland, I wouldn't even make eye contact with my female peers anymore for fear of antagonism, and even that pissed them off. I still don't make eye contact with women. All this talk about workplace discrimination against women, as if women are above abusive behavior when they're in the position of power. I call bullshit. Women lied to in attempts to destroy my livelihood, and then cried crocodile tears as security is lead me out of the facility with my belongings in a box in front of my peers. I did get another job, but it left me as a MGTOW which would have never happened otherwise. Men make a huge mistake when they decide to pursue bedside nursing as a career. My strong advise is stay away from the bedside and avoid the gauntlet. Become an NP or a CRNA, but stay away from the bedside.

  • @youssefa.2251
    @youssefa.2251 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I'm grateful I don't work in a toxic ward. The women are righteous and kind, focussed on work and supporting each other and there are masculine men in the team as well. Because the ward is extremely chaotic and unpredictable as is and the team is worth fighting for. I feel like my colleagues share this sentiment as well so I'm grateful. Complaining seems unisex, but there is no backbiting, antagonising, talking smack behind each other's back or ridiculing patients.
    Right when I lost hope of a non-toxic work environment in the hospital even exists xD

    I’ll be the first to say that I understand what she saying as a black male who is interested in getting into nursing myself. But please take this as a compliment. Do not warp this into “men are necessary because women lack certain traits argument”. Don’t bring that Manosphere bs. lol. Nursing seems like a very stressful profession. And working in retail as long as I have, I’ve been surrounded by strong competent women and men workers. And there’s only so much an individual person can handle, it doesn’t matter what your sex or gender is, there’s gonna be a day where you have a bad day or you break down. That’s why having supportive team members is so important in life in general. “rugged individualism” does not work. As humans we are meant to work together and support each other. And when it comes to the sexes, women and men are supposed to have relationships that are not just romantic or sexual, but also like siblings, deep-friendships, and platonic. Also Black Love & support! ❤️✊🏾

When the power goes out or gas leaks or floods happened who goes in and cleans it all up and fixes it mostly males... You don't hear all of them saying we need More Women in Here. It's been shown that the average male is not as nurturing as the average female. of course there will always be exceptions but it is not the rule. Men need to do the hard jobs. Or women need to step up and start doing the jobs that men do mostly..
