I liked your presentation, I just like the convenience of the drops more. The only time they are a pain is when I use bottles with necks that are more narrow than the drops. Measuring sugar by the gram is a drag, which is exactly why going to kegging was the best thing ever. I wish that a manufacturer of the drops would make a big bag of 1 gm drops. Cheers!

True. I try to bottle as little as possible. The drops are pretty spendy though so I'll stick with measuring unless i have a lot to do

I heard somewhere, that using table sugar for priming, tends to dry some styles of beers more out than others. Is that a myth? I use to use the drops, but wasn’t getting the carbonation I needed. I switched to priming sugar and it has been working pretty well. Also, what makes beer not carbonate properly even when following a recipe to a T or adding carapils or whatever? Inquiring minds would like to know!😅

It might add less than 1/2% abv so I doubt it will dry a beer enough to notice it. If a beer won't carbonate there is simply not enough live yeast or it's too cold. If it's been sitting awhile you can add priming yeast first.
