- I walked in to a small charity shop and bought an entire bag of vinyl records. They were just putting the records out in the shop and I was the first to see them. When I asked how much are the records? they said I could have the whole bag £25.00 so I wasted no time, pulled out the cash and paid promptly.
I guess the question is would you have paid £25.00 for this bag of records?
Some of the Records found include:
De La Soul - Me Myself And I
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
David Bowie - ChangesOneBowie
The Rolling Stones - The Great Years
The Cult - Fire Woman

Great buy! Super selection. Thanks for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎👍♥️🔊🎶🎶🎶🎶🔊🎶🎶🎶🎶✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯✨️
Thanks, Its nice to know you came all the way from Canada. All the best and good hunting.
You've hit the jackpot with that Wailers record (as long as it's a first press). If it's nice, you're looking at maybe £200+.
Really? I need to check that out. Thanks for the heads up.
@@thevinylvaultYaa, I was about to comment the same thing. Have a buddy hunting that down right now
@@grantpate1932 Thanks for your comment. I will be researching this one a little later today.
Even if that Catch a fires a 2nd press, talking 100 quid 😮
@@thewailingwailers1022 Wow I never realised. Thanks for the heads up.
That’s a great buy, plenty there to move on and make a nice profit on the £25 paid for sure.
Thanks for your comment. I look forward to listening to these when I eventually get time.
I can’t figure out if your the luckiest record buyer I know or not lol.
You have had plenty of great pickups this year so fair play 🎵🎶🎵🎶👍
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and I do relate to your thoughts. I guess it has been a good year but as I have said many times before I put in so many hours looking for records it’s only a matter of time before I find some good ones. I have spent hours, days, months and years looking for records and on many occasions with little success. Trust me it’s not all roses. If I had been making videos years ago it would have blown your mind with the things I found. Thanks for watching.
Wow, nice haul there, I'd be happy with that.. great video. Cheers
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Fantastic finds, check out that wailers album, think that might be worth a bit of money ,if my memory is right, take care my friend, cheers, Dave
Cheers Dave. I will be looking into that one. Thank you.
That Soundgarden vinyl is a extremely good find, I’m really jealous because I love that band
Yes, it’s an LP that very rarely turns up. I can only imagine it did not sell very well when it was released. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
@@thevinylvault Actually, the story is that this album was released in 1991, when records dropped in popularity, and CDs rose in popularity, so they made way less records in the nineties, and the ones that were released were limited editions. And it is not true that it did not sell well, it sold over a million copies in the early 90s, and by 1996, it had sold over 2 million copies.
@@wyatscdsvinylsetc Oh yes 1991. You are correct I forgot the record companies were phasing out vinyl around this time. Did they actually sell over 1 million copies on vinyl then? If so maybe I will find more in time to come.
@@thevinylvault no, I meant on all physical media, CDs, cassettes, and records
Amazing haul.
Thank you. It was rather good. I appreciate your comments.
Good find all around. I would have them.
Its not often I get a bunch like this.
That Wailers album Zippo cover intact is a $400 record here in Canada find of the century congrats
Thanks, I did not realise it was so in demand. Thanks for your comments.
good to find a charity shop that still doesnt know in 2024 . lucky you
Thanks. Must agree its hard finding good stuff in the charity shops.
Great find bargain bag great stuff in there.
Yes, here's to hoping we all find more great records this coming year.
@@thevinylvault yes I’ve picked up canned heat John Lee hooker hooker n heat 2LP best find so far 2024…plays mint
Great job, I have never found one of those out in the wild. Glad it plays mint.
These must have been out the back !
Lucky timing I guess. Thanks for watching.
You must do a ton of digging and regular revisits. £25 is a bargain and something for everyone there even like myself the discerning Arsenal supporter. Stand out for me were the dance 12"s and the house of love.
I do a ton of visits but not to the charity shops. I gave up on them years ago however, I was passing a little independent one and thought I would go in and take a look. The main charity shops are clued up and price these things individually before they put them out. I have even heard that Oxfam send all of their records to a main office to be priced first. Not sure if that is true?
@@thevinylvault usually yes they as in most charity shops send them elsewhere though I think they still make mistakes. I've got some bargains still and it's also a fact if you help in a charity shop you'll probably get first dibs on the vinyl........
I could could probably turn that into a couple K in sales in Australia easy. Great score.
Thank you. If only we could find more. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
@@thevinylvault no worries. Over here a vg copy of basic some 70s 80s pop records say abba cat Stevens eagles elo billy joel madonna wings steelie dan grease sat nite fever rumours police and the like u can get $20 - 25aud or 10 - 13 quid all day and all it has to be is presentable cover vinyl plays well no skips but visually a few scuff even the odd scratch is ok. The amount of young ones and older peeps coming back to vinyl in the last 5 years is amazing. They all want the commercial classics. They may not be able to afford new prices, here $50 single lp up to $100 for a double (£26 to £52) some single lps start at £34 but £10ish for pre loved is ok. If i had multiple copies of this stuff i could limp on sales wise indefinitely. This run of the mill pop stuff is drying up thou..
I hear you and everything you say make complete sense especially the bit about them being willing and able to pay for the pre loved copies. Thanks again and good hunting.
If they are all clean then thats a bargain and a half
I am hoping to go through them in more detail to check the condition this afternoon. Thanks for watching.
Decent haul every time I go into a charity it's a load of pony
Trust me I have seen enough pony's in my time.
Great selection! Let me know if you want to sell the Gong record
Thank you and yes not a bad selection. I am not selling for the moment but I do keep getting asked if I am selling these records. I might need to think about it in the future.
Great haul mate . A lot of them look mint condition . Fragile & Neil Young look brand new
Thank you. I appreciate your comments.
But where would you play that electro stuff out or ,are you just reselling. 😊
I will be playing this for sure and its not for sale as I have wanted it since back in the day. Thanks for watching.
Very lucky. I've found most Charity shops are no longer very good for finding records. Best I've found in the last year was 3 lps creedence, turtles and a 1st press of climax blues. Other than that, nothing. If there is anything good it's often overpriced. I even saw one charity shop trying to get £17 for face value by phil Collins??? I questioned the manger about that price and he got proper arsey with me. Soundgarden great find
Thank you for taking the time to write some constructive comments which are appreciated. Good hunting.
Quireboys... for the one you couldn't read?
Thank you. I now see it. I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching.
De La Soul 😍
