I'm stunned! Divinyls, Scratch Acid, The Cramps, SSD, Shadows of Knight, Captain Beyond...so much good stuff, even with California Guy getting first dibs. Wow. The Divinyls are my favorite music group of all time. Their actual first album was Music From Monkey Grip, which was a soundtrack from the Aussie movie "Monkey Grip." Chrissie Amphlett is an actress in the movie and you will see the Divinyls play as well. Great soundtrack too. Highly recommended. I love all of the Divinyls records. I can't get enough of their stuff. Those Scratch Acid records are killer. You found a Starkweather LP also! All that metal you found too, especially Motorhead! I'm just sitting here shaking my head. Congrats on the scores! ~ Nicola Edit: I just checked Discogs and you are correct, the self titled Divinyls is listed as their first LP. Music From Monkey Grip was also released in 1982. Have a great rest of the weekend.
It's fidly but Monkey Grip charted as an EP in Australia even though it had seven tracks. "Only Lonely was a huge radio hit but never got released as a single in Australia so this was the default. WEA kinda dropped the ball there. Boys in Town had already been a hit the previous year. If you're a fan I guess you know this.
Looks like Monkey Grip is the next one i need to track down! I'm fairly new to Divinyls..A couple years ago I saw video of their US Festival appearance and i fell in love! I found What A Life less than a year ago...and now i finally have Desperate!
@@VinylHunter I've got most of "new wave day" from the US saved somewhere or other. I don't think the california audience got Chrissie's F*d up look that day. They were too busy dancing to missing persons. Temperamental is really good too. And Underworld is not bad. It has the original version "Human on the inside" which The Pretenders covered.
Wow, you're living the dream, Tuco! You put me to shame with the vinyl scraps I've been finding. Those Nirvana LPs are to die for. I thought I did well finding their first single 'Pentecost Hotel' for 20p in a charity shop but you surpassed me on that one. Keep it coming...
The Bee Gees 60s stuff ranks with the best of the 60s, gorgeous music. Odessa, the Melody soundtrack etc, love it. Thank you i have never heard of Ruth White, will check her out.Nirvana were great, that 60s movie The Touchables their music featured in is crazy🤪 I first heard The Nice in The Tyrant King , a groovy british late 60s kids drama set in swinging london( its on TH-cam) Love your videos, love the ride in the truck, the expectation of what you may find, the regular guest appearences of Roger Williams, Mantovani and the Doctor Zhivago soundtrack 😀 All the best to you friend from the Isle Of Wight, England.
I thought of you last week when I went to a huge local co-op right outside of Harrisburg and found a cool space-age instrumental LP: Don Costa - "Modern Delights" on Verve Records. Have you heard that? ...Love the 60's Nirvana LPs! ...Ahh, Argent: Just picked up one I never knew existed: "Nexus" - excellent space-rock and now my fave Argent LP by far! ...Hey, I just found an exact reish of that Tangerine Zoo LP on high quality red vinyl! Used to have the originals of ALL of those garage/psych Mainstream LPs - I remember way back in the day when Kresge's 5&10 store had a FULL TABLE of nothing but those Mainstream LPs for 3/$1 when I was a kid - I bought 1 of each - should have bought the entire table! ...Speedboys: Used to see them all the time when they played in Harrisburg. ...And finally - many of those late 70's & early 80's alt/punk, metal LPs you showed I used to buy in pre-packs of 100 misc LPs from Steve K of Performance Records in the early 90's! I used to love going up to his huge warehouse! See ya next installment!
I've got that same Peavey Bass Mark III Series head and cabinet. Bought it used in '86, and it served as my college band rig. Still have it today and fire it up from time to time. It's a TANK!!
Another just great video man!! Im using this video as a guide for all kinds of new music!!! It would be cool to do a video of straight cracking open albums!! Just a thought maybe a dumb one but as usual killer video Tuco thanks
I'm going to be cracking one of them open on video very soon! Also, gonna have some friends over this weekend...we're going to drink some beers and open those sealed obscure metal records!
Now get out there and hit the thrift stores! I can imagine thrifting and seeing stuff like "Persuasive Percussion" in the wild is no longer a thrill after this mega-haul. I think you have reached equilibrium.
This DID ruin it for me for awhile! This dig occurred 4 months ago...I'm just now finally starting to feel the itch to go out and thrift again! I'm just programmed to "hunt" for stuff! I love the thrill of the chase, whether i find anything or not! I'll ALWAYS treasure hunt to some degree!
The reality of this scenario in my neck of the woods would be completely different. First of all, if any word got out to any of the big time collectors / dealers, you really wouldn't stand a chance of getting in on any of this. The reason being is that they are very smooth /con operators, with tons of CASH IN YOUR FACE. In other words I'll make you a quick offer that you can't refuse. Tens of thousands of dollars (A FIST FULL OF DOLLARS PLUS FOR A FEW MORE DOLLARS) these people wouldn't refuse. In comes the big cube van with a few guys and two hours later...all gone. I've witnessed this once and had to refuse on two other homes loaded with thousands of records. Honestly I could never carry loads of cash around to ever make on the spot deals. TUCO you can always consider yourself extremely fortunate to have scored so much and not to put yourself in extreme DEBT AS I'VE WITNESSED MANY. I for one am so happy for your passion and good fortune. May you always be blessed and peaceful. Peace to everyone.
Again, making my Sunday coffee more enjoyable! Thanks for the vid! Q: In your dig of a lifetime, what do you think the % breakdown was for keeping vs. reselling?
Ha! Isn't that crazy! I love Joe Jackson, so i pick it up every chance i get...when i got that 10" it got me wondering how many different formats i had it in!
This is EXACTLY why I turn tail from estate sales and anything that attracts many guys who “know their shit”. I couldn’t have put up with the tense atmosphere that comes from such a situation. And in 2023, anything and everything is game; vinyl, CDs, tape, video, magazines, books and memorabilia. Everyone has their knives out in addition to their radar.
Well, i guess I'm guilty of that. For me it's fun though. I actually enjoy going and waiting for an hour in line at an estate sale before it opens. But, yeah, that's definitely not for everyone! Record collecting appeals to me on multiple levels: I love the music, i love finding new things to listen to, i love the "artifact", i love finding valuable things for cheap, i love the thrill of the hunt, i love the brotherhood of record collecting...
I love TinyTim! I've got several, but i don't have any for sale. I really don't see them very often...but they are usually readily available on Discogs.
Thank you so much my friend I look at antique stores thrift stores & I'm unfortunately always unlucky but for some good reason I know that I will one day find I just gotta keep looking & thank you for trying to help I greatly appreciate it buddy have a nice day😊💞
The first four minutes of this when you explained how those people set up the sorting and buying process for you guys stressed me the fuck out. Fuck that man. I’m so glad you made it out with some good stuff because that’s truly an appalling way for them to sell those records. You want the right records to go to the right people not a hodge podge of some get some and some care more about others that others got that care less it’s like come the fuck on
Lately been finding good stuff at family jewels records .been paying for it though kraut rock at the moment, trying to keep it real on a financial level
I guess if you promise to buy a ton or from California, you get 1st dibs. Maybe he bought Elvis. It's all yours man! My Goodwill record trip turned out insane with thousands of 45's @1.29. All 70's 80's country which was too much.. I came home with sadly a duplicate, a warped LP and some rap missing the 2nd LP. Look Sharp!
Dude from Cali thinks he's the big Kahuna. If he was a big Kahuna he would have bought it all. I could have bought what he bought 5000 lps. I have the $$$ and than flipped it like he's going to do. Someone tipped him off. What's he doing in Nebraska. He needs to stay in Cali. There are plenty of storage units in auction with 1000's of records all over Cali. By the way love the Ska lp. Jamaican pressing I would assume. I always liked that cover. I had the later issues before. In fact I love everything you picked.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗. The records are probably worth more than what they paid for that house. Lol. Wow this honey hole is a big come up. Better than buying and selling gold, but boy what a lot of hard work this chit is, but its fun. It started with the love of music and than started selling some stuff to support my record addiction.🙂🙂

Nico WAS a model, singer,etc... She died on a bycicle accident while living in Ibiza? Majorca? Island in Spain some years ago. She fell while riding on a road, and hit her head. She was taken to hospital, & died some time later.
Tuco, I'm happy you were still able to score big. Looks to me that Cali dude really does not know a lot about records. Cause if this was a big dealer they would have bought all. I wonder how much he paid for each. I'm also wondering how he found out about this honey hole all the way in Nebraska. This is driving me nuts. I could of been a big dealer if my chit never got fck up in hurricane Andrew. I had a whole house full of records in every room including the kitchen. You could not walk in my house. I use to buy big collections and sell many in auction in goldmine magazine. I bought a collection from a dude in Detroit, everything promo, jazz collections, exotica collection, soul and disco collection all promo and even some of Waggy Tees hip hop chit which was in a storage unit in Miami. It's pretty well dried up now. Now everyone and his Momma looking for records, thanks to ebay. I made better $$$$ selling via goldmine. Had many customers selling to europe and japan on a fax machine direct auctions to them. They would send me their want lists and what they would pay. Which was a lot. Now a lot of those records prices drivin down with ebay. Really only the obscure stuff like psych, northern soul, reggae. Etc. You get good money for. Bluenotes and prestige mono 1st pressings 👂. A lot of stuff hit rock bottom. I am so happy to see you still can find good stuff. Keep on diggin. Love your You-tube. You are the best.
Oh man!!! I totally remember buying from Goldmine! I'd read ALL that fine print in every ad...in every issue! I was just collecting Alice Cooper at the time.
The Magic Mirror with the Red Raven records was a lot cooler than the rock music that you've got everyone drooling over. I hope the analytics will show that you got a nice spike at the seven-minute mark. Coincidentally, I made a zoetrope machine out of some old records that I'll share in a future video. Those psych records could probably come in handy for swapping for vintage gear. Titus said that this video is a classic. He watches your videos in "snippets" throughout the week because your videos are too DAMN long. (I get scolded every time my videos exceed fourteen minutes.) That garage was in sad shape. You'd think that roof leaks and mice would have done more damage. Mouse turds in garage-stored collections are the worst. Question: How often did you silently judge the guy next to you for leaving you too much meat on the bone when the box came to you?
The bad thing about collectors like you, is you take all the good shit just to put it on a shelf and never listen to them again, were as me, I actually listen to them everyday. And yeah, they're rare and everything, but that doesn't mean they need to be so high I'm price. Shit, about 2;years ago I was in a pawn shop in Oklahoma City and found the following albums for $.50 a piece. Spring - Self-Titled (1971 RCA/Neon) Christopher - Self-Titled ( 1971 Metromedia) Jericho - Self-Titled (1972 A&M) Pacific Sound - Forget Your Dream (1972 Splendid) Joseph - Stoned Age Man (1969 Scepter) Jasper Wrath - Self-Titled (1971 Sunflower) Randy Holden - Population II (1970 Hobbit) The Louvin Brothers - Satan Is Real (1958 Capitol) And.... Subject ESQ - Self-Titled (1972 Epic) I have it in my will that my records will be cremated with me when I die. I have 34,067 records and know every one of them like the back of my hand. I'm sure they felt the same as you did, getting all pissed off because you couldn't get "the valuable shit" it's not about money or having trophy records on your walls or in your shelves, it's about the songs and the continuing search for even better songs. Record collectors like you piss me off, because you complain about other collectors taking the shit that you want too, like a fucking child. found every one of my records for dirt cheap and in flawless conditions over the year and I wouldn't pay over $10 for an album like Virus - Thoughts, or Peggy's Leg - Grinilla, which I do own and only paid $2 for the former, and $1 for the Peggy's Leg album, which is a private press. It's just fucking retarded why collectors pay so much. I don't give a shit how much their worth, I ain't selling them and no greedy ass collectors are gonna get them just to say they have it...cause your so cool, right? and probably can't remember most of the songs from some of these obscure artists.
Haha thanks for the shout out! I don't remember saying I was the drunkest guy at the acoustic Stryper show... but I believe it because I Definitely was! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Thank you! This was just luck though!... most likely it'll never happen again!
The Bee Gees 60s stuff ranks with the best of the 60s, gorgeous music.
Odessa, the Melody soundtrack etc, love it.
Thank you i have never heard of Ruth White, will check her out.Nirvana were great, that 60s movie The Touchables their music featured in is crazy🤪
I first heard The Nice in The Tyrant King , a groovy british late 60s kids drama set in swinging london( its on TH-cam)
Love your videos, love the ride in the truck, the expectation of what you may find, the regular guest appearences of Roger Williams, Mantovani and the Doctor Zhivago soundtrack 😀
All the best to you friend from the Isle Of Wight, England.
Yeah! I don't think the Bee Gees get the credit they deserve!!!
I'm a Peavey addict!!! I've got a handful of Peavey heads...and even more Peavey cabinets! I'd really like to find a Peavey T-40 bass!
@TUCO: Vintage Vinyl Hunter Cool looking forward for that one!
I wonder what the deal was with the California guy, how he got the gig and what the pricing arrangement was...
The hits just keep coming! Craziness
So crazy, Kevin! This dig is starting to fizzle out, but I've STILL got more killer finds from it coming up!
Actually a first for me. Many of the records you showed today I have
Yeah, i like a lot of stuff that no one in their right mind would like! But i also like a lot of stuff that sane people enjoy too! 🤪
🤣😂🤣😂
Again, making my Sunday coffee more enjoyable! Thanks for the vid!
Q: In your dig of a lifetime, what do you think the % breakdown was for keeping vs. reselling?
Impressed by the Nirvana LPs and the Nice LPs.. Score!
I haven't listened to The Nice yet...but i dig prog so I'm guessing I'll like it!
I have that Nirvana LP
I'm really digging it!
Hey Tuco nice 5 formats on your joe Jackson x2 👍
Ha! Isn't that crazy! I love Joe Jackson, so i pick it up every chance i get...when i got that 10" it got me wondering how many different formats i had it in!
There's an Italian knockoff of those zoetrope pic discs. I keep hoping to get my hands on Topolino (Mickey Mouse) and Cip E Ciop (Chip and Dale)
Nice!!
ok ... the records are good ... but the bmf shirt really reveals how good your taste in music is. :P
Ha! Love them!!!
The amount of sealed and rare titles is phenomenal, does day 5-7 have some rarities as well?
Heh Tuco I'm trying to find Tiny Tim albums but may you help me🤔😊
I love TinyTim! I've got several, but i don't have any for sale. I really don't see them very often...but they are usually readily available on Discogs.
Thank you so much my friend I look at antique stores thrift stores & I'm unfortunately always unlucky but for some good reason I know that I will one day find I just gotta keep looking & thank you for trying to help I greatly appreciate it buddy have a nice day😊💞
Thanks for showing your A Smooth Ball album from
T.I.M.E.
Yes!!! I was very happy to find that! Now i have both of their albums!
The first four minutes of this when you explained how those people set up the sorting and buying process for you guys stressed me the fuck out. Fuck that man. I’m so glad you made it out with some good stuff because that’s truly an appalling way for them to sell those records. You want the right records to go to the right people not a hodge podge of some get some and some care more about others that others got that care less it’s like come the fuck on
You need to show your exotica collection.
I will someday for sure! I've probably got about 500 space age and exotica albums!
Tangerine Dreams had a 2 for $1.00 sticker on it , what?!
Yeah! So many records like that in this collection! Lots of records with old $1 price stickers! This sealed Tangerine Zoo is worth $200 now!
It was even worse when I got there a month later.
That album featured Larry Byrom.
AWESOME
Thank you! Cheers!
I'd be lucky to get 5 oddity s or grails per year epic scores
Me too!!!! This was pretty much a once in a lifetime occurrence...if you're lucky! I find good stuff from time to time...but never THIS lucky!
Lately been finding good stuff at family jewels records .been paying for it though kraut rock at the moment, trying to keep it real on a financial level
conseguiste algum soundtrack?
I found a few. Cha Cha, Twilight Zone, ...i know i found some more there but i can't remember them right now.
Okay that's funny about The Chipmunks "Chipmunk Punk" record playing at 16rpm!
Look it up on youtube! It's great! Listen to Refugee on 16rpm...that's my favorite
Wow! Those sealed Metal LPs gave me a boner!😂
Absolute dig of a lifetime. Well done. \m/
As long as you have enough for the rent this time
I can't compete with TUCO with these kinds of rekkid scores, but I hit the honey-hole for country ham in my next video!
I was very envious of the ham!!! I could have hung out at that place snacking all day!
Look Sharp!
Hi, did you find the expensive vinyl record (5000,00 dollars)???
No $5000 records on this visit (and the $5000 Phafner record was already gone by this time), but i did get some $200-300 records!
Yeah, the guy bought the house to fix it up and flip it. He just wanted the records gone. ...the records were EASILY worth more than the house!!!
Found by the way 2 electronic records that i had never heard of earlier called: Elmulab - Microprocessor 8080A and: François De Roubaix - Les Plus Belles Musiques De François De Roubaix Vol. 3
You've got to check them out they sure do sound weird!
Here some links so you can check 'em out:
Elmulab - Load th-cam.com/video/lPwBtlsZJWM/w-d-xo.html
François De Roubaix - Luna Parking th-cam.com/video/eY6HSD-RVTQ/w-d-xo.html
Wow! Very cool! I'll have to keep an eye out for those!!!
Nico WAS a model, singer,etc...
She died on a bycicle accident while living in Ibiza? Majorca? Island in Spain some years ago. She fell while riding on a road, and hit her head.
She was taken to hospital, & died some time later.
Oh no!!! I've never heard any of her solo stuff yet, so I'm looking forward to digging into these records!
T2...💣
She died on 1988 in Ibiza.
(I get scolded every time my videos exceed fourteen minutes.)
That garage was in sad shape. You'd think that roof leaks and mice would have done more damage. Mouse turds in garage-stored collections are the worst.
Question: How often did you silently judge the guy next to you for leaving you too much meat on the bone when the box came to you?
Ok if you can send me:
Count five
T2
The music machine
Mad rivers
Moloch
Muddy waters
That be great! Many thanks 😂
🤣😂🤣😂 I've got them packaged up...I'm just waiting for your address! 🤣😂🤣😂
Such killer scores!!!
muito fixe😎🇵🇹
The bad thing about collectors like you, is you take all the good shit just to put it on a shelf and never listen to them again, were as me, I actually listen to them everyday. And yeah, they're rare and everything, but that doesn't mean they need to be so high I'm price. Shit, about 2;years ago I was in a pawn shop in Oklahoma City and found the following albums for $.50 a piece.
Spring - Self-Titled (1971 RCA/Neon)
Christopher - Self-Titled ( 1971 Metromedia)
Jericho - Self-Titled (1972 A&M)
Pacific Sound - Forget Your Dream (1972 Splendid)
Joseph - Stoned Age Man (1969 Scepter)
Jasper Wrath - Self-Titled (1971 Sunflower)
Randy Holden - Population II (1970 Hobbit)
The Louvin Brothers - Satan Is Real (1958 Capitol)
And....
Subject ESQ - Self-Titled (1972 Epic)
I have it in my will that my records will be cremated with me when I die.
