Frank stil going strong, at 99-yrs. I traveled with Frank to Guam in August for the 80th Liberation Day events. He hopes to go to Iwo Jima in March 2025.
Wish I had been there for my grandson's graduation. Ceremony was conducted without guests due to Covid. Did not see my grandson for 10 months. We had a big homecoming for him at my daughter's home in Sacramento, we live in the L.A. area. Sadly it was the last time he saw my wife, his grandmother, as she died months later. He wore his blues to the funeral which added an air of dignity to the sad proceedings. Now he is being promoted to Sergeant. I am so proud as is his grandmother in Heaven.
Understand. My cousin was with the Drum + Bugle Corps... wanted to play TAPS at his dad's service... but too emotional. Your (now Sergeant) is sure proud of his family.
