OCTATRACK | MPC ONE | ZOIA | Live Looping Jam #24

Again just a jam...nothing serious. I do this pretty much daily but seldom have the camera on. It's an exercise in getting to know my gear. I had to bring the MPC back. It's such a useful box. Octatrack of course is looping. I just got the Zoia. It's not doing much here. Adding some flange and subtle reverb to the guitar while also controlling some things on the OT (more on this in another video) Thanks for watching!

1:51 was dope...! thanks for sharing. seeing this setup gives me a lot of hope. currently own MPC One and looking to get OT soon. i thought i had to stop using MPC but little did i realize they can well be combined nicely. sweet!

Well organized Josh. Are you using song mode on the MPC One? How in the world did you get the drums to mute automatically and have the filters come in like that? Music is music, and I don't like to put a label on it, but this is some really well thought out stuff...SBN RESONATE

Thank you! It's actually all improvised except for the first drum loop. The MPC is pretty basic really..just a couple drum grooves. I did use the track mutes at one point I think. The real magic is the Octatrack scenes controlling the filtering, resampling and tweaks to the MPC's input. Thanks again for the kind words.

Really cool groove, Josh. Curious: Are you using the Looperboard or only OT for looping?

Thank you. I am just using the OT for looping. I currently have the looper board up for sale. Even though I was initially excited about it I have become quite disappointed with the unit overall.
