Thank you so much for this video. I have been struggling to install overlays forever it seems. This tutorial was a lifesaver! I was ready to give up until I found this video. You explained everything very well and slowly. I appreciate all the work you put into this.
I’ve been on twitch for going on 4 years, this is an awesome thing to see for console users such as myself. It sucks to hear that the overlays don’t show on the phone. I maybe get 1 viewer per stream, if that, and I’m trying to see if overlays would appeal to anybody that comes across my stuff.

I'm starting on a new stream and it pretty complicated but you explained everything so easily and well. You are right though, the only sucky thing about this is that mobile viewers can't see all this hard work we do but it still is super fun and helpful. Thanks a bunch man! you got a new sub. :)

So what is the point of having an app you can use on your phone, only for itnot to be able to show up your phone or console? I know it's not your fault, sorry.
@@dxrkdemon3554 I get that, but I thought as you could do all the editing from your phone youd be able to see it on the phone. It would be useful for people who dont own PCs an want to be able to have a good stream from a console. As al0t of gaming PCs are in the 1000"s for a decent one.

@@PrivianPlays I didn't use an Elgato, but you do need to use a Capture Card for that. I think some people have done it without a capture card, but I don't know how
It wont save, know how to fix that? Edit: I have now fixed that (I had to do everything again on a new save) but now my chatbox isn't coming up with the bot messages.

@@HayTex ok im not sure if you'd know this but im trying to figure out how to download animated overlays people are sharing for free. But when i download and use it on tht overlay extension, it only gives me the still overlay rather than the animated. Is there anything you might know thatll make me be able to get animated ones? N keep up the great work, these videos are what people need!
@@rileyreid6651 I'm honestly not sure if this extension supports animated files like that. They have a discord you could join and ask them if you wanted

Hey, great video! I knew about Overlay Expert but i didn't know you can do that with the starting soon and brb overlays, hehe. I already set everything and i save it and activated in my channel, but i can't do the on/off thing you do in the video. I type the command but the overlay is still showing in the Overlay Expert edit page, i check it and i have everything like you, the chat also work, it even show the text i type in my channel. Any advice? It's driving me crazy xD
when youre making the twitch api thing dont use "/" use "!" because it wont register with "/" and make sure you save the overlay so its working properly
