    Nice video. I would have liked a bit more information about how the pro and Ultimate performance compare. Maybe some of the specs and more objective data. How do you know you have the settings optimized for both? The weight and size seem to be significant disadvantages that may offset the benefits. I see some of the top online TH-cam’s that say the ultimate is a waste. Again, it would have helped
    To have had a more compelling comparison. Maybe a blind test with some of your sim buddies.

      Thanks for the feedback, Bill. Perhaps I'll do another video, a straight comparison video, and talk about all the specs more. I disagree with other TH-camrs that it's a waste, though. To me, it felt better going back and forth, using the same cars, tracks, and profiles was using Daniel Morad's and also tried Martin Ascher's Ultimate profile which felt very good. A blind test would be an excellent idea!

    Im using a 23nm wheelbase on the gt lite pro 😉 works perfecly fine when using it at 12nm haha.
    Me I like more simple software i prefer things like simucube snd simagics software over others that just nloat the system with an ungodly anount of settings. We should not hsve that much control over a base. They should come from factory tuned well and then we adjust minute things. Thats how it should be and one day i hope we get there.
    People that go man whats the point of getting bases like this? Well its response and speed as he stated. That snap when the wheel loses grip. The feeling when you are at the edge of grip and the instantaneous response to what happens. Same thing with sinagics line up to the top and others. Some reviewers well only one will says it doesnt matter much but imo it really really does.

    Honestly, I feel like you're killing this channel with the constant "reviews" of products that are only supplied to you. You can't reasonably be expected to be critical, even reasonably so, of a brand that is giving you literally $10,000 worth of equipment for free. You're channel seems to be turning into a product showcase with very little objective information versus an actual review channel. This video specifically is basically summed up with "this product is great, and it may be great for you, or too expensive, but it's great, but everything is subjective" when literally every other mention of this wheel base I've heard from countless other reviewers is "this product is expensive as hell, not worth it, but the best out there". Perhaps do some actual reviews instead of cherry picking only products from a brand that bombarded you with free stuff? May as well be named "SimucubeDen" at this point.

      @@____________________ok thinking that reviewing products for niche hobby brings you money.. Or that putting in hundreds of hours of work to build a channel in order to sometimes receive products for free, is easy.. You go do it, my man. Delusional, cynic, envious.

    Is it not time for SC 3 ? SC2 are there for yearssss, time for evolution like everything on the market. Even when everybody says it’s good, there is always perfection and SC3 must be made perfect. So I was thinking to go Simucube all the way but it’s just too old now to get. I rather wait for SC3 which will come I hope.
    Why Bugatti Veyron model if I can buy the Tourbillon…? The latest is the best regarding power, speed, technology, looks….. everything is just better so the same with SC 2 vs SC 3 👍

    I agree it’s more of a tool for real life drivers. The cost for a hobbyist is too high.

      Simagic Alpha mini is for real drivers. Don’t need insane torque levels.

    It's funny - I've heard a lot of people say that unless you really need the 32Nm, there really is no point getting the ultimate over the pro as both provide a very similar level of feedback. Boosted, who actually bought and mains the Ultimate, couldn't find any significant difference, and Beyond Matter also came to the same conclusion. This has also been echoed amongst the people on the Granite Devices forum who've owned both. Then again there are others that think the Ultimate does offer an advantage. However, the conclusion that I've come to, based on all the opinions I've read, is that whatever advantage the Ultimate offers it's so minor that buying it in preference to the pro does not make financial sense, unless you have a valid use case for the 32Nm.
    I'd always recommend the Pro over the Sport, even though they feel almost identical at lower torque levels, as the price difference is relatively small, but to recommend the Ultimate over the Pro is quite a stretch given the doubling of the price, and by all accounts very similar performance.

      Yes, I agree on Pro over Sport, but the Pro and Ultimate are very similar, with slight differences. In the end, I would pick the Ultimate if money wasn't an issue, of course, but whether it's worth double the price, probably not. For most people, I would still recommend the Pro every time. I will be reviewing the Asetek Invicta soon, so it will be interesting to see how that also compares.

      @@simracingdenAnd this comment right here is why you should never take advice from someone who is given products for free. Your reply reads like someone who has the microscope of Simucube watching your every move. To act as if money isn't of concern for a good is disingenuous at best, and pretty unethical and telling of character at worst.

      @mattymatte6289 what are you even talking about? He says himself he wouldn't have bought the ultimate instead of the pro. What a ridiculous comment.

    Thanks for the review. Were you running this on high slew rate?

    • @simracingden
      @simracingden  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I found the two profiles I liked using the most were Daniel Morad's and Martin Ascher's, Daniels slew rate is set to 0.00 and Martin's at 2.00

      @exci6198 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@simracingden good to know. I'm often wondering if the difference that people feel in responsiveness is due to the higher slew rate, which is not something I like using. I suppose it's something in the motor itself or something not easily explained in specs that makes the difference.
