A change we need if we want more mama ships: Just make the mothership immune to the Viper abduct ability. Don't need to change anything else about it and we would start seeing WAY more of them. There is also prescedent for the idea that "unit size matters", in that ultra's are immune to stasis wards. COME ON BALANCE COUNCIL DO THE RIGHT THING.

I thought this thing was a cult classic like Melee that needs no updates, but in reality it’s balancing and thriving. That’s pretty crazy. One of these days I need to go back in and play the second DLC - I always thought Protoss was cool, so I meant to check it out, but I never got around to it. All this competitive analysis and advice will probably come in handy for the story lmao.
Stats crisis management is insane!! It s great to see there other ways to play protoss than the super early gateway pressure into mid gamee win, Hero and Maxpax go for.
have anyone seen the short about the Zeolot charge trick? You attack a unit ahead of the original attack and start the charge phase. Now they can charge the whole way instead of activating half way :D are the pros doing this or have i missed it ? xD

during this whole ravagers vs stalkers 5-minute clash in the second game i was scratching my head intensively because Shin had an Infestation Pit so he could fungal all these annoying stalkers and have an easy win

Zerg is the race with the best reactionary play because of that, you scout something, you can counter it instantly with 1 building and mass produce with banked up larvae. At late game you can instantly remax with a counter unit because you already have that "one" tech structure and mass hatchery. Other race like Terran and Protoss need to build multiple production structures to produce units, and still can't built them as fast as Zerg does with the same amount of hatchery vs a single type of tech structure. Not to mention Zerg is also the race with the best economy for its able to build workers the fastest, 3 workers at a time from a single hatchery or more with larvae inject and is able to bank up larvae. Its play style is just so self complementary and versatile, while other race have to commit to a specific build order or tech and play really well before they can transit to other tech.
Bro, Play as zerg. Go ahead. do it. Zerg has to tech up to lair and Hive to get to those buildings. Where as Protoss and Terran can just tech up by building a certain building. Building 1 barracks, 1 factory and 1 starport leads you to late tech in 6 min mark. Stop it

In terms of teching up speed, yes and no. Zerg may need more upgrades/buildings to get to higher tech but they still produce higher tech units faster than any other race can. This is why you see protoss reach fleet beacon tech faster but all Zerg had to do is plant down a spire and they build corrupters in higher supply than protoss can build carriers or terrans can build BCs. Btw Zerg is not much slower than other race in reaching higher tech. Terran can reaching BC from barracks>factory>starport>fusion core. Protoss can reach carriers from gateway>cyber core>Stargate>fleet beacon. Zerg can reach broodlords from spawning pool>lair>infestation pit & spire>hive>greater spire. Zerg is only 1 step behind when it comes to reaching late game air. However, it only needs spire for corruptors that counter every late game air from protoss and Terran. Zerg never had problems reaching tech parity with other race. Especially when they are always ahead in economy because of the larvae mechanic. Even if they are late in scouting it doesn't matter, they can just drop a single structure and mass produce counters in time. If protoss or Terran scouts late they are forced to deal with mass mutas or lose bases to lurkers if there's no ghost or disruptors to counter them. Almost never you see Zerg gets surprised or overwhelmed by high tech units because even if protoss and Terran would tech faster they can never produce fast enough for the high tech units to be overwhelming. It's usually just 1 or 2 BCs or disruptors, they don't do game ending damage. But because Zerg has larvae mechanics, failure to scout Zerg tech means a sudden swarm of mass mutas, lurkers or swarm hosts that can end the game instantly.

Remaxing happens all the time in tournaments, especially in mid to late game. It's possible when you reach around 3-4 hatch. In mid games Zerg remax with lings and roaches, in late game they remax with anything they want with banked up larvae and resources.
The amount of harass that protoss can throw out but zerg can’t do the same shows how bad the early game balance is. Chrono boost works immediately but queen inject has a delay before larva pop out.…sounds fair…
